in the overnight hours, lingering to tomorrow. christmas eve will start off with wet weather but it will be in the form of rain showers, not the snow that everyone would probably like to have for this time of years ago and we're going to deal with that overnight and into the first part of tomorrow. so any plans that you have after the midnight hour tonight you're going to have to grab your umbrella and definitely keep it handy, overnight lows into the upper 30's and the low 40's. pretty much everywhere across the board, a little cooler to the north and northwest and as always, cloudy skies, planner, 7:00 p.m., 43 and by the time we hit 11:00, 41, keep your eyes on the skies for the rain. seven-day coming up later, before a you to. new tonight in fairfax county. police are investigating two homicide they believe are linked. however they have no suspects. alexandra limon is live in berk where police tell us they're working as quickly as possible to develop leads.

body of the second victim was actually spotted by a homeowner. he hold police he was looking through a window and saw a woman leaning against the tree but she wasn't moving, and when fairfax fairfax investigators got here, they indeed confirmed she was dead. it happened in the unfenced yard of this home here at the end of the cul-de-sac. they do not think there's a connection between the victim and the home. what fairfax county tell us they think it is linked to a homicide that happened in springfield last night. take a look at this map. because while one of these homicides happened in springfield and the other here in berks, they're only about a mile or so away from each other. here's what went about the two homicides so far. the victim found last night was a 22-year-old man named

found dead inside his home suffering from some sort of trauma but police haven't figured exactly what type of trauma it is that killed him. as far as the woman, who was found early this morning, she's 22 and her name is tedest. police say they're not ready to reveal what it is they know the two homicides are linked. >> we have almost all of our homicide squad out here, we have crime scene detectives out here, we have an investigator from the medical examiner's office, and they have divided up both teams to work diligently through the details to find out what circumstance are surrounding that that may be dealing in these cases and who could possibly be involved. >> reporter: police are also asking for neighbors, anyone who lives in the areas where these victims were fnd

them, if they saw or heard anything suspicious last night or this morning, because again, at this point, they have no suspects, information. reporting in berks, alexandra limon fox 5 local news to prince george's county now, where an investigation is underway into a deadly police shooting in capitol heights. it happened yesterday morning, officers were sent to check on a suspicious car parked on buyers street. who men sleeping inside, officers tried to wake them up. investigators say one of the men terrance thompson junior pointed a gun. the officer shot and killed thompson when he refused to put down his weapon. other man in the car, alvin young tried to run from officers but quickly captured. investigators release photos of guns found inside of the vehicle. month officers were hurt. we're told the officer who shot and killed thompson has been on the force for a year and a half. take good look at this surveillance video. dc police need your help in identifying two persons of

interest in a robbery. it happened tuesday afternoon at the red ballet cleaners on p street northwest. the suspects went behind the counter, stole money from the cash register. an employee confronted the suspects but they got away. no one was hurt. if you recognize them call police a gift from the past just in time for christmas. one local man was reunited today with a keep sake from his high school glory years thanks to facebook. fox 5 helped play santa. an lee hemphill has that story. >> reporter: this sat in an antique shop nearly three years. today, we're going to help deliver it >> it sat here until about two weeks ago. >> reporter: a high school student won his baseball trophy but it was recent spotted in antique shop three counties away. >> my vendor found

the district police are investigating an suv that plunged into the anacostia river. it was discovered this afternoon along anacostia drive southeast. no one was inside the vehicle, thankfully but dc fire and ems officials searched for any possible victims. no one was found. more now about a nasty crash that involved two police cruisers, it happened around 10:00 last night on alabama avenue southeast. it's unclear what caused the accident. two officers were hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment. we're told the officers are expected to be ok. traffic was a mess while police investigated what happened. we're following breaks news out of hole. star wars star cary fisher is reportedly in critical condition after
