precaution after she suffered from fatigue and coughing. we'll have more on their conditions later in the show with a live report from houston. now, new at 10:00, protesters danced their way through vice-president elect mike pence's neighborhood tonight. >> several hundred gathered outside of house he is renting in chevy chase for a dpans party to show support for lgbt right. live in the north west tonight marina we see everyone is gone now. >> everyone is gone and what a difference you can hear the wind chimes out here. earlier an hour ago it was quite the party out here in the chevy chase neighborhood. vice-president elect mike pence made his home and you see here secret service and d.c. police on hand as protesters moved in and they walked two miles from friendship heights metro station up to the chevy chase neighborhood with vice-president elect mike pence is living until he moves in to the vice-president's home on the 20th. you can see the video here it

vice-president motorcade hit an officer in northwest d.c. this afternoon. secret service tells "fox5" one of the vehicles made contact with the d.c. police reserve officer. it happened at 6 and f streets northwest. the officer was taken to the hospital out after bun dance of caution. he since has been released. it's story that will leave you shaking your head. follow up to a "fox5" sklus of a d.c. government subcontractor gave sensitive files that contained client social security numbers, medical information to complete straipinger without so much as background check so she could simply lighten workload. tonight the victim's nvingz was compromise ready speaking out. >> that subcontractor works as caseworker for intercity family services southeast a firm listed as community-based service provider on district department of health web site. tonight, still no word if either agency about the

responding to facebook job post. she says she called intercity family services on saturday to vort rvoder and was told to call back holiday weekend. >> jenkins says they were able to reach the center director three days later to report voder the caseworker and by wednesday afternoon inner city family services director tenisha sanders told us voder was fired. >> it was supposed to be private i mean that's our dr. s and our case workers. >> vodr was on the job three months and did little to help during that time. >> she would text me and tell me if they asked, i have been over your house. >> reporter: now even though the district don't of behavioral health contracts and lists inner city family services on the dotgov web site is passing the buck saying they have independent responsibilities to safeguard protected health

shooting happened on martin luther king day and investigators are now hoping surveillance video can help them identify the killer. "fox5" lauren demarco is liver at police headquarters with the story, lauren. >> in a neighborhood that sees its share of violence, surveillance video that police released today is extremely disturbing like a scene out of the wild west and innocent victim is gunned down. >> oh, my goodness it was -- so oh, my goodness. >> reporter: one neighbor left speechless as she watch the video showing one man with a gun chasing another firing as and one woman is hit by a bullet and died at the scene. police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect and can help them track him down. he's left-handed and appears to be wearing a mask. the guy he is chasing was also hit by the gunfire but sure vivld and is in stable condition.

a small but growing memorial now sits at the sight where that great-grandmother was gunned down. vivian meryl lived in the neighborhood years and known fondly as candy lady because she sold candy to the kids. her son says she was out shopping and was heading back when the shooting happened. it appears sure vailsen mounted on the building captured the awful seen and there at the intersection sits a d.c. police camera. neighbors and family members want to know why they haven't seen any video and they're horrified what we have seen reckless, senseless, gun violence 10:15 in the morning. >> running around shooting. our kids have to be more careful. really? they deposit see her right there in a wheelchair though? >> reporter: now, as far as that camera we were talking about that's in the neighborhood again thats with a

d.c. police camera. they tell me tonight that the video released was from a private camera and unfortunately npd camera was down for repairs. additional information regarding the suspect if it is und covered during the investigation we'll make it available to the public and there's a $25,000 reward for information in the case. lauren demarco, "fox5 local news". new tonight police are looking for vandals that broke into d.c. elementary school and caused major damage. it happened bankcovt almostry newton street north west. the school is currently under construction. the suspects broke into the school twice weekends of january 6 and 1. they used large machinery to detroit school walls, security cameras, fences and soccer field. if you know anything about the break in and vandalism call d.c. police. >> when we come back the changes metro is making to accommodate people during the women's march on washington this saturday.

we had some clouds around today. we have a little cloud cover around tonight and keeping us mild, 48. when you consider the average high for the day is 43, definitely bonus territory. 4 dulles and 45 mannasas and frederick dropped to the 30s. i think original and west you may see 0s tonight. we'll drop a few more degrees in the disstrict closer to 40 overnight. but that is not bad. a little bit of cloud cover moving through tonight and maybe a little bit early in the morning. we're going to have a much sun xwrer day on thursday and really it's just looking terrific. if you didn't get to spend a lot of time outside today and missed out on it we will have another beautiful day tomorrow high temperatures well into the mid to upper 50s again with a lot of sunshine and much lighter breeze. if you have not heard already there is a little light rain expected for inauguration and the timing seems to be moving up a little bit so coming up in full weather forecast we'll take a close look at the hour by hour forecast friday and day. shawn, tony, back to you.

listen up if you have a g mail account there's a new phishing scam targeting you. it's most sophisticated they've seen so far. >> even people that consider themselves tech savvy admit they have fallen for. it sarah simmons is here with what you need to know. sarah i'm watching closely. >> this is scary tony and shawn. this phishing attack aims to steal user names and passwords. it's how they're doing it pretty scary. it starts with email, of course, but instead of random person an email appears to be from someone you know subject line that's what you need to look at that may look like something you cents or received before. they did a very good job of faking email from to you someone usually there is an attachment to click on that looks familiar. once you click on it a new tab opens pomenting you to sign back into your g mail account. that's where online crooks get you. experts say g mail log in page

if you type in user name and password they have access to everything. other than paying very close attention to those emails and attachments the president of the global cyber alliance gives this advice. >> don't reuse passwords from site to site. if somebody just got into your account or there's attack onsite and your password gets dumped and you reuse today then that attack can be made that same password match ago tack can be launched against all other services. it might be your google account is very well secure but you know the account you use for something that's not very important is much less secured by the company that holds the data. >> okay here are key things you should look for. beware of anything that opens g mail log in screen once you click upon. it don't sign in. also look at the location bar in your browser. here is what it should read.

>> reporter: from what we understand the 41 president george h.w. bush is in stable condition tonight admitted to the hospital on saturday due to respiratory issues because of pneumonia. he was responding well to treatment a family spokesman says and this morning he took sort of a turn for the worse and then doctors wentz in and performed a procedure to clear his airway and latest we've heard is he is stable tonight. now, former first lady barbara bush as you said she was having fatigue issues for about a week and apparently got up this morning and had a coughing fit that just would not go away. and it was then determined that she, too, should be admitted to houston methodist hospital. and now this is the fourth time the former president has been admitted to the hospital in the last four to five years. the most recent was four broken bone in his neck. the other prior trips

due to respiratory illnesses. and now the 43 president george w. bush is not in houston tonight and we're being told by family spokesman that that says a lot as far as how doctors feel that the 41 president is recovering from procedure that he had. apparently it looks like he's going to survive this and do okay. now, george w. bush is expected to be in washington for the inauguration on friday. his father was not planning ongoing. he said president-elect trump a note back on january 10 basically saying that due to his aging in the cold weather and washington d.c. could put him four feet under in his words. but, he will not be attending and as you will recall he did not attend obama's inauguration four years ago, tony, shawn. >> randy wallace reporting from houston.

disposal. temperatures well above average. average 4. what a treat, 60 today. 57 tomorrow. cooler on friday for inauguration because more clouds coming in and some precipitation as you know light rain and saturday about 55 degrees and sunday 55 and even with rain coming in on sunday we'll take you hour by hour through it inauguration forecast though in 'moment and feast your eyes on current temperatures only a couple of spots down into 30s. frederick is one of them at 39. we may see mid to upper 30s in northern and western suburbs and altogether a pretty comfortable night. that is for sure and little bit of cloud cover coming through tonight. it won't result in moisture. we think the clouds will be gone by morning. at 8 we expect temperature of 41 in city and maybe a little cooler in the suburbs and wouldn't be surprised if it's a couple degrees warmer than that if the cloud cover hangs around long enough. by noon 50 and 4:00, 55 and our high tempera
