we wanted you to know it's possible in the areas maybe potential winter commuting hazard of a few slick spots here and there for tuesday morning as well. so, that's what we're thinking for tomorrow. we'll let you know what is shaping up for the rest of this week as february gets ready to launch here in a couple days. it's start to look more active in the weather center. we'll talk more about that later. sarah, jim, back to you. >> sue, thanks. to prince george country school volunteer sexually abusing and sxoyting children today pled guilty in frl court he admitted to engaging in sex acts with children as young as 9 and recording 12 in a variety of sex acts. >> in a deal he agreed to prison sentence of 60 years. "fox5" paul wagner is in the studio with the story on this, paul. >> hi jim, sarah, deate caroway came to the second courtroom of courthouse drsed in orange jumpsuit. in a proceeding that lasted an

sex acts and recording them. caroway admitted to recording the childrened in two rooms of the school in january of last year. >> the statement of facts included in plea agreement says deate caroway reported the children inside the band room and back room of judge sylvania woods elementary school on two different wednesdays, january 6 and january 27 of last year. the document also says caroway had sex with and recorded other victims in bedroom, basement and bathrooms of residences from october of 2015 to february of 2016 there was no mention of sexual abuse in the glenarden center where he formed a choir. >> this is horrendous awful case and involves despicable conduct he admitted in the federal flee agreement he abused

between the ages of 9 and 14. he also is charged in state court with abusing additional children approximately between and 11 additional victims are charged in the state case and those charges remained pending. >> he used cellphone messenger app kick and ovoo and gave children phones to record themselves and also learned today caroway formed a club with the children with the acronym aka and told them if they wanted to join the club, they would have to send himselfly explicit photographs of themselves. >> our top priority is to protect the victims and try to minimize any additional trauma to them. so the consequence of this plea today is that those children were not be required to testify in federal court and they can go on with their recoveries. >> the 3-year-old caroway was ultimately exposed when a relative of one child found a

on a cellphone and periodically contacted authorities. as the hearing ended, "fox5" briefly spoke with a relative of one of the victims who said she was satisfied with what she heard in the courtroom. the other relatives declined to comment. the u.s. attorney says what caroway agreed to is in effect a life sentence. >> caraway will be sentenced june 5 and faces charges in state court where a 270 count indictment awaits. paul wagner, "fox5 local news". >> developing tonight 40-year-old kaliff shot and killed two people sunday morning and surveillance inside the car bar helped police identify the suspect and all three victims and shooter were employees at the bar and grill and victims were identified as 46-year-old restaurant manager sherwood morgan

decarlo. martin, tell me about what is in this proposal and i have to imagine some people are not too happy about it. >> yes, many are here tonight already a large number of people proceeded into a public hearing that will go on until 9 p.m. as long as folks continue to show up to speak it's your window to tell metro what you think about the proposed budget. rail females going up 10 to 5, bus fares a quarter and parking at most lots by a dime. train frequencies reduced across the board except on the blue line which runs every eight minute and currently twelve minutes and let me give you example of what could happen say if service cuts are no longer -- or are approved as s red line, for instance, with would run every eight minutes from the perimeter of the system. rights now the red line head ways are three minutes. considerably more wait time standing on platforms. 0

this is a live look at reg app national airport tonight and we're told now by authorities there that earlier today an airport police officer's gun skaently went off. this happened just around:30 at the exit lane of center check point at terminals b and c that's over near the national hall area if i'm not mistaken right the gun was discharged into a nearby piece of law enforcement equipment. that's their wording here. no one was hurt. but screening at the check point had to be delayed before it returned back to normal. you have to imagine something like this in secure area remains under sfwletion sure. meanwhile we want to share with you insiring event that took place in prince george county and volunteers many of them young people helped prepare meals and provide kloming and other items to the the homeless and the event took place st. paul battist church in for the wash today and especially broud of getting young people involved in helping those that need it most in
