in whatever the new air force one will be and he also is signing executive order to get strong immigration and you know down here he also says look we named a new supreme court justice to replace justice scalia they are not getting enough attention ton that and they want to reduce the impact of affordable care act obamacare. and all of this, all of this, is aimed at what the white house is now treeing to do which is go over the heads of judicial mainstream media and talk directly to the american people. because as you heard this white house is declared sort of on war on media. president himself tweeting this statement the other day that media is the enemy of the american people. whether it works or not we know this, they appear to be sfoing their base. there's polls in the recent days asking trump loyalists and trump voters how he's been doing in office

>> i'm not sure how much this poll disproves that. it it is fascinating because there's different ways to read it. on the one hand they have this clear majority who won't compromise. ach it's broken down by party affiliation and roughly half of democrats don't want party to compromise president itemp and see him for republicans. so we are in interesting moment and i think this question of whether compromise is politically rewarded is still on question. >> and narrow bama administration with republicans in control here we are with republicans in control of both houses again and also republican president. are there any signs of compromise that you're hearing from your sources or what's going on on capital hill. >> one of the interesting things shawn is we're already seeing protests both against republican lawmakers in terms of holes f
