these string of what some have called hate crimes, hate streaks directed at these jewish community centers as well as mosques in our area. you'll see the note that wass sent to an area mosque that says i will pay $100 for charity for every muslim slaughtered and then it's followed by a crudede depiction of a violent act. you'll see the two centers in maryland that received these notes, both those centers in silver springs, one ever them the islamic education center of maryland and the other one thete muslim community center also in silver springs. the letters received last nighth and it's still unclear if they were mailed or simply placed at the centers, but the notes just received hours after there were three different communityent centers in virginia and maryland that also received bomb threats via telephone calls.ls. now, tonight some are questioning why threats like these asking for the

more jobs for americans, a good classroom and teacher for every student. safe streets. we've all worked towards those objectives, but it's tough. > one of the other things people were saying as they walked out of the speech tonighh was that they were struck not only by the tone of this, but the expansive amount of promises that were made throughout this speech. there were many applause linesns that were designed to bring democrats to their feet as well. there was a lot of questioning as to whether or not democrats would speak out or talk, depending on how the speech went. we saw none of that this evening. senator been carter of maryland told us that was not by accident. even though some democrats boy cotted the inauguration, they were here tonight to hear what this president had to say. listen to senator car den talk about how they are trying to

frederick and other leaders of historically black colleges and universities. fox5 is in prince george's in countypr tonight, police are investigating an officer-involved shooting. officers responded to a family dispute this evening in the 6500 block of beach wood drive in cam springs. officer shot a man armed with an knife. the bullet graced the man's thigh but the man is expected to be okay. the officer is not hurt. at this point there was no wordn ono exactly what led to the shooting. > we are learning more details about the resignation of west potomac high school principalipl alex case. he and assistant principal michelle little were both put on leave from the alexandria schooe earlier this month. the school district declined toi explain why and called it a personnel matter.tt students told us they've all been speculating about what's going on.. sources tell fox5 a the administrator's suspensions dono not have anything to do withth students. honestly i was kind of disappointed because he was a
