>> the wind is back. the good news with the wind it will help to dry the pavement up a little bit here. bit the bad news is a lot of these trees are ice covered and limbs continue to come down so we wanw you to be very careful about that. that could create ongoing problems later tonight and tomorrow. the big story is now here comes the winter cold and i don't know about you guys, but i really miss february. was so nice and warm then. we still have a few flurries around today and of course the snow totals range anywhere fromw just an inch and a half up to 10 inches in the biggest areas. the big headline for tonight is refreeze, black ice problems tomorrow morning likely going tn be a big concern, not to mentioe single digit wind chills thatigt we're expecting in the w mornin. you can see hear reagan national, 1.7 inches of snow. a couple of light flurries even falling right now.ing we're noting whying to take them out of the forecast tonight. dulles had 5.6 inches of snow. that was one of the higher airp

we're going to give you a rougha idea of some of the areas. it ranged from about 3 to 4,4, maybe 5 inches in some of our suburban areas. college park got 2.3 inches of snow. you you can see that oneoe there. that's of course prince george'e county. and we take you's up to the highest totals in the fredericki area. there were a few spots that got up to 10 inches. that was a jackpot for our area. i want to show you the wholehe storm in motion.ion. this thing did go up to new york city. they have some mixing. we certainly had a lot of mixing here with ended up being 1.18 inches of liquid amounting from anywhere where 2 to a 8 inches of snowny. if that had been all snow and not this big mix of sleet and freezing rain we would have hada a bigger snowstorm to deal with. it has brought in the cold air,, and the big wind gusts, single digit wind chills tomorrow morning. watch for black ice and the lase thing i

upper marlboro trapped. a tree tommed. the crews were able to clear the road to get people in and out around 8:00. in montgomery county, a truck hit a utility pole inlity gaithersburg this morning.orni the pole fell right into the street blocking some lanes at ln the intersection of first fieldt and clobber roads. forth fatally no one was hurt.t. at this hour crews are still working to repair and remove that pole.th now to frederick maryland wherei the snowck started strong lastga night. it continued to sleet and snow throughout the morning and ouror gary mcgrady found a few people, pets, that were eager to venture úout in the storm. >> it seems like a lot of people are out watching their dogs already. because the dogs they've got to get out. i'll bet molly loves a good snod day. >> she loves it. we've been dying to get somee snow. > how old is molly. >> about five months. come here. good girl.girl i hope she doesn't bite me.

federal workers today because the government opened up three hours late.. of course there's always workers who couldn't report had the option of taking unscheduled leave or telework. today's delay male pale ine commercial what's in store. some workers could be out of a o job for good. fox5's tom fitzgerald is live on capital hill.pita we're hearing a the lot about the president's plan to syringe the size of government. >>reporter: we've heard presidents before say that theyt would syringe the size of the federal workforce.forc this time it might actually happen and here's why. later on in the week we're going to get a look the a the president's discretionary spending budget.sp it is a budget we are now told that i ns going to significantly kale back how many federal workers are needed. now, keep in mind, in this area, in maryland, in virginia, in d.c., there are about half a million federal employees cutbacks in the federal workforce always race concerns.s but if r

the scene of the smoke incident a couple of years ago and led to the release of this 46 page report by the governmentove accountability office which says metro rushed into safetrack without adequate planning. pla metro agrees with that to a point. they said, yes, we were hasty getting this going, but for a good reason. rea metro general manager paul wiedefeld issued a three-page e-mail in response to thehe report. it says it overlooked the report last may to rebuild the old's th parts of metro's track infrastructure t. further criticism from chief spokesman dan stessel says the gm saw an emergency and acted. in fact, he would have actedcted faster had he known there was a problem.pr this is like second guessing how the firemen used the hoses in burning your house down. metro does agree with theith find

controversial documentary that seems to face the story that michael brown.row the documentary called stranger debuted at over the weekend. the footage captures brown onapu the day he was kim but hours but before the deadly encounter. the new film claims that brownht traded what appears to be a small bag of marijuana for two boxes of cigarillos. according to the don dock temperaturely brown leaves the cigarillos on layaway to pick up later. they claim brown stole cigarettes. the top prosecutor is accusing the footage in the documentaryou of being, quote, heavily edited. pete pathetic at a video a production regarding the fatalal shooting of michael brown. con contained in that was a verv poorly ed he ited snippette of a security victim taken from the6e store in ferguson. the prosecutor says the video doesn't prove or
