a lot of questions about whethew it can pass the senate inin particular, even the house. > certainly compromise has beem brought up. earlier today sean spicer was asked about that.hat. let's take a listen to what he had to say.. i think the president's principals and goals are going to benefit every american and obviously the more support weres get the better. as we continue to meet with members and talk to them and get their ideas i think we're going to have a phenomenal outcome ofe this bill much there's a lot of ways we continue to gather input and ideas and the more that wet can get that will achieve that goal, great. and so i hope that he continues to provide us with constructive ideas. i think the american people would like to see that big couple by yeah moment. what's the reality here on compromise? where are we on that? >> easier said than done.ne. there's not a democrat in the house or senate that is going to reporter this republican bill. they can talk bipartisahi

this is what makes it so tough for the gop leaders to threadto the needle. this iso bam a care light. it retains too much of a government role in dictating healthcare -- the healthcare marketplace, not enough free market going on there muchth they're attacking from the right. and then you have these senate wrists, they have a lot of constituents who are subsidizini from the oh generous medicare, low income pep, disabled peoplee and people in nursing homes. if they rollback that, the cbo is warning, the budget office ii warning yesterday, is that if you rollback that, then 24 million people are going tog lose coverage over the next decade. so the senate republicans arere looking at that and say wait a minute, the tax credits that the replacement bill has are not generous he muff to help my constituents who are under obamacare. it's up to gop to that red that

that's the big test facing them and i'm not sure that they can do it. the american people will be watching. > thanks so much for coming in. we appreciate it. thanks for having me.e. this really gained some steame over the weekend. the call for mass attorneys from the obama administration tooktin some by surprise. many handed in their resignation. this happens when you have a change of power. however u attorney bara refused. he was one of 4 prosecutors whou were let go.we the handing out of the mass ping slips was abrupt, but it was not unprecedented. karen joins us tonight. thanks so much for joining us. >> of course.f good to be with you.with is this typical when we see a new administration come to bring in their own us attorneys? are we making too much about this, much to do about nothing home? >> to some extent, yes.xten to the extent that this is a republican president who is taking over from a democratic president, of course they're

attorneys in place. that say, though, the abruptnesu with which this happened and especially two days after a meeting that the attorneyne general had with us attorneys which gave them no expectation at all that they might actually be leaving office or being asked to leave office.ffic it's the abruptness and not following the typical norms of allowing them to take you inyou office until their replacements were confirmed by the us senates i think it's the change in protocol and expectation that e has gotten a lot of the attention. we saw barhar meeting withth president elect lump, and indications were that he was going to be asked to stick around. the last time there was controversial i was alberto gonzales when he was attorney general. what's the difference from then until now. >> a couple of differences, one is mr. gonzales, that was in the second term of the w bush administration. more than that, that

saturday night massacre only involved 9us attorneys all republican appoint ease. to that extent it's different in terms of the administration, tht number of people that werehat involved and the reasoning behind the dismissal.miss we've heard a lot of differentie rumors as to why this recent dismissal or this dismissal was so abrupt from a fox news anchor suggesting it during the middle of a show that some of these us attorneys were investigating the trump administration. what are you hearing? what do you think is behind this besides just, hey, these aren't our guys so we want our guys in here.e. i think to some extent a lot of it is that.hat. i've heard the rumors about thee investigations going on. this would seem to me to be a pairly hand handed way to stop the investigations. i would see this more as pooror transition planning and a poor transiti process. probably not surprisingly.rpri what we're really seeing at

justice will be able to do so at that extended deadline. on the same topic you certainlyn heard about it by this point, kelly ann conway over the weekend talking about different techniques used to surveil,ve talking about using televisions, even saying that microwaves could be used to take photos. now, she was seemingly referencing that wikileaksilea report that we told you about where they leaked cia hacking documents that do explicitly say that the hacking techniques allegedly used things like your samsung tv when seeming to be off to record you.u. but since she made those remarks kelly ann conway has stepped them back has saying that she doesn't actually believe that microwaves were used to spy on the trump campaign. however she did note that it's's not her job to provide evidence in this case and what we'ree talking about.lkin so today in the white
