security tell knock gentlemen, charles, hello? >> hello. >> what we saw in london today, we see these attacks happening every now and then, maybe with a little more frequency. what was your take away today? >> it was definitely the latest in a series of these sort every events that we've seen in europe. obviously, this one resulting in the loss of life, and i think that these loan gunmen attacks are very difficult to forecast, and the intelligence national security and law enforcement agencies they have their work cut out for them, being able to address them. >> when we see attacks like this, they set off the wave of concern here in the united stain and other places. that will warranted? do you know right now if there is security being heightened here in the u.s. because of that? >> well, certainly, every time we see an attack like this, the gut reaction is to tighten security measures across the board, as a reaction. i think that in many cases, those maybe

presidential election from russia, and all of the recent hacks that we've heard about, whether the dnc, whether the government itself. what have we learned, and are we secure here in the united states? >> i think the important thing for viewers to realize individual citizens are typically not the targets of many of these cyber attacks. so, as the average citizen, basic cyber hygiene is really what they should be going for, making sure computers are to up date, software is patched, and that you're aware of your surroundings on the internet, not clicking e-mail links that you don't trust. >> are there any instances where we're seen cyber attacks in a vein that cause some sort of loss of life? because i think about, i know it seems like bit of stretch, i'm trying to get to here, but we see attacks against financial institutions, see them against companies with ransomeware things like that. i mean it, seems like, have we crossed the bridge into where cyber terror puts lives at steak here? >> i think we're

i think the more we connect, safety critical infrastructure from aircraft to automobiles to the internet, the more the risk of that sort of attack, becomes increasingly possible. so i think as the internet of things begins to take shape, and more and more infrastructure is inter-connected to the internet, additional security counter measures are need in the order to secure that infrastructure. >> switching gears completely here, we know today that the head of the gop house gop intelligence committee came out and he said that there was evidence of surveillance against the trump campaign. but it was not -- didn't have anything to do with rush a it was not collected at trump tower. let's listen to what he had to say and i'll get your reaction on the other side. >> what i saw has nothing to do with russia, nothing to do with the russian investigation, has offering do with possible surveillance activities and the president needs to know that these intelligence reports are out there. and avenue duty to tell him that. >> let me get your take on,

republican lawmakers to get on boards with this gop plan before that big house vote happens tomorrow. >> there is no plan. i mean, there is plan a and plan a. we will get this done. >> republicans could pass the bill without the democrats. but there are still a number of gop lawmakers, the freedom caucus, you know what them ' oppose this plan. >> final day of confirmation hearings in this vein, judge kneel gorsuch, some democrats, say they want to delay the proceedings, because of the fbi probe into the trump campaign's ties to russia. >> that's right. they say there is still this cloud because the trump campaign, the white house is sort of under investigation here, and they just want to hold off. but i think that's unlikely. >> what are the chances that had, you know, had hillary clinton won the race, she was under fbi investigation, that is undisputed fact. would that have been a tool used on other side? >> i would guess so. i mean, you know, that's the way polits works. who ever is in office. >> you find every way, every

disposal. >> absolutely. >> that's how it goes, like it or not. also today the president sat down with members of the congressional black caucus, including anthony brown. >> fox5 ronica cleary joins us liver with the story. just curious, did he meet with the entire caucus or just a select few members? >> just a select number of leader, they metaphor about an hour with the president today. let me tell you, it was interesting. one of the questions that i was planning to ask congressman brown about right at the top of our interview, was this message that the president brought on the campaign trail to the african-american community, when he would say what do you have to lose. you know, very controversial statement. we previously spoke with congressman elaine like a cummings, very hurtful statement. wouldn't you know right there in congressman brown's lap was a book that they, a bound notebook if you will they presented to the president, the title of it was we have a lot to lose,

speaking about specific issues within the african-american community. take a listen to what he said from our interview earlier today. >> it says: we have a lot to lose. and the congressional black caucus, our leadership team, went to the white house today to speak with president trump. and to help him answer the question that he asked on the campaign trail to african-americans, what do you have to lose. so what we wanted to do was really sort of educate him on who the african-american community is, and, you know, where we live, and when our dreams are, our challenges, our needs and our aspirations, and then we had an opportunity to layout some solutions. >> well, congressman brown, he described the meeting at productive. he said future meetings have essentially been promised along with meetings with other people inside the president's administration to maybe put, make some of these things happen that they're talking about

judiciary committee is looking into this, as well. we should also tell you, late this afternoon, the montgomery county public schools announced that rockville high school itself had been the subject of several threats throughout the day. people calling in both bomb and gun threats, saying that they're thereto, quote, shoot the illegals. that's from the montgomery county public schools public information office tonight. we should tell you there was no incident at the high school today, fortunately, but does gave you a indication on just what these situations they're dealing with over in that school is at this moment. now, as far as this question of who are in these classrooms, nationally, this story has taken a lot of questions about how many undocumented students are in classrooms, not only here in montgomery county, but nationwide. advocates for immigration reform, like the federation for american immigration

many parent are struggling with now, especially, in the wake of these latest revelations of the suspect having entered the united states illegally. we spoke with the executive director of that group, bob dane, earlier today. >> the schools are in a pickle on one hand, they've got a legal obligation to give a public education to all kinds, even illegal aliens whose criminal histories may not be known. on the other hand, they've got a moral obligation to keep their classrooms safe. but you know if the federal government would do their job, and secure the border, deport people who don't belong here. >> as we told you, this is not only a problem in our region. it is nationwie. but, in our region, these numbers are eye-opening. we got numbers from the department of health and human services which were in charge every taking care of the so-called d a/k/a dreamer student. there are 556 in montgomery county alone, over

hikes to 732. another complication on all of this, talk to the immigration experts, and they'll say getting the ages on individuals, getting the correct ages every these individuals, these also are problematic. the very nature of them being undocumented, many times us immigration officials do not have access to any specific birth records or any proof that these individuals are the age that they're claiming to be. here's more from bob dane tonight on what challenges that presents to law enforcement. >> these guys probably came in under the recent flow of unaccompanied minors, then made the calculated decision to make a b line for montgomery county. why? because that's the place that offers the most benefits to illegal aliens, and asks the least amount of questions. >> no way to know for sure? >> no, really isn't. >> immigrations and customs enforcement tells us tonight the 18 year old suspect in

general electorate, first and for most, people just drag through the most brutal presidential election ever, in this country, no matter who you back, it was brutal, it was nasty, it was much more nastier than it ever should have been. do you think people are even looking toward 2018 let alone 2020? >> yes, absolutely. and i believe this will be potentially one of the largest mid-terms in a long time in recent years. of course it was very tumultuous election, and with everything going on now, there is going to be a major course of democrats, really going to be rallying up their base, obama with his coalition, and his new organization, i'm sure they'll be doing everything they possibly can to take away, look, they already poured $3 million into secretary price's old seat, congressional district six. that in itself tells you what's happening at this particular moment right now. it will be certainly a very, very, i won't say ugly midterm. a lot going on. >> since the

seen a number of different protests, huge protests from the women's march to several other mars that have been not only just here in d.c., but nationwide, some of them world-wide. do you think that this will also bring about a new wave of politicians, who are now spurred to action because of their disappointment over the lasse election? >> i'm starting to think this is motivate ago lot of people to be more inclined in the process, i always tell people, people were into president obama, when i say people, talking mostly millennials, at the same instance, now, i think a lot of people are more into politics. this has woken up a lot of lynn -- millennials to be engaged in the process to understand the process how it works. so i think people have better understanding now, not just about president of the united state. more about local and state gubernatorial races coming up. so i think it will be huge, huge out pour, because people realize, that's who can get things done. members of congress. specially look at the healthcare issue right nowment some people
