going on stechd up and turned their daughter n investigators say that nicole sasario was plan ago tack at the school for next tuesday. we just got these evidence photos weapon the last few minute. authorities say savario purchased a shot gun. fireworks and bomb making material. that she was compiling information about security at the school and detailing plans in her diary. savari's parents found out what was going on and her dad turned her in thursday. she was taken too custody and right now still under evaluation at the hospital. here's the frederick county sheriff with more on what was uncovered with the help of federal investigators. >> evidence we got from home revealed she was taking steps active steps acquiring materials and that she would need to execute the plot including purchase of shot gun and construction of pipe bombs and other explosive materials and magnesium escape and fuse material and it was clear in diary she planned to die during

crashes. >> five people killed in drunk driving collision. the man behind the wheel kenneth killly took responsibility for his actions and pleaded giltsty to 28 charges he was facing including five counts of nenlt manslaughter. this crash happened livingston road and livingston terrace october of 201 4 two adults and three children were among those killed. one was a passenger in kelly's car. >> in this case it was the unthinkable two children with ten children between them left without a mother and driver in the victim's vehicle lost two of her children. and so this case has misery that is hard for any of us to imagine. >> kelly's trial was supposed to begin today. instead he pleaded guilty. he will be sentenced in may and faces up to 50 years in prison.

close to home here in the district they called themselves sanctuaries basically saying that they will not cooperate with federal law. they will not enforce federal immigration laws within their statey or state limits. now, of course, you know and you have heard about that story we covered so sken sivrly the alleged rain of that 14-year-old girl in rockville, maryland and now two boys 17 and 18 years old charged with the crime who were here illegally. just four days after that happened the maryland legislature voted to make marylan a sanctuary state. well in the white house today, the attorney general had some words for maryland. take a listen. maryland is talking about a state law to make the state a sanctuary state. and the governor is opposed to that. i'm glad to hear that. that would be such a mistake. i would plead with the people of maryland to understand that

maryland more at risk for violence and crime that is not good policy and as a former prosecutor foremany years in state and federal law i just know that the historic relationship different federal agencies have with regard to honoring detainers. >> reporter: well the attorney general stated the department of justice has a duty to enforce our laws including those involving immigrations. sessions stated that our laws clearly require the removal of aliens when they're convicted of certain crimes. if cities and states choose to continue to refuse to comply with those laws department of justice grants could be withheld or simply not granted at all in the future. and sessions reiterated that this is about safety. >> i strongly urge our nation states and cities and countries

"fox5" lindsey watts starts us live tonight with the dis disturbing details, lindsay. >> reporter: tony, investigators say the student was plan a mass shooting and bombing next year at coctin high school and he he she already purchased a gun and explosives to make a bomb and it's only her parents that stopped the attack. authorities say 18-year-old nicole savario had obtained all of this. fireworks,

make a bomb as well as hunting style shot gun. everything purchased legally. and the sheriff said savario detailed her plan if her diary saying she was also going to die in this attack. savario's parents found out what was going on and her dad turned her in thursday. a district tovl told us the dad called the school. nicole was pulled out of class immediately and authorities were notified. savario remains under evaluation at the hospital. here's frederick country sheriff with more on what was uncovered with the help of federal investigators. >> this investigation is focused on her diary and the detail in the diary that clearedly planned out mass shooting event at the high school and other thing we also learned she had been compiling intelligence and information on security coming and going of the school resource officer and the emergency procedures and other drills conducted by school staff. >> everyone was really scared
