say the suspect, a 14 year old boy was areunioned a short time later. he's been charged as a juvenile with first degree assault and is in the cuss different his parents. the school suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay. >> new tonight, the loudon county shear i's held a meeting with parents after news that several middle and high school students may have been high on xanax during school hours. fox5's lauren demarco joining us live with more on that and the dangers of companion as well. >>reporter: seven students at river bend middle school are suspected drinking with beanch laced with xanax on friday and at the same time two students at nearby potomac falls high school are suspected of having xanax on taking it as well. xanax is a prescription drug, but if abused, somebody can overdose and even die on it. there are other serious side effects, according to

wall. there are the risks of breathing very slowly, so slow at levels that can become very dangerous. also seizures are possible and withdrawal. believe it or not, dependency develops very quickly and then if abruptly stops a person can experience anxiety and also mood swings. now, at tonight's meeting sheriff mike chap man highlighted the daings of drug abuse. it's possible the high school students may have replied the middle students with the drug.s that he's all under investigation and he says charges may be filed. there were more than a hundred people and h was a regularly scheduled sheriff's meeting which had been moved because of the concern over xanax. when it came to the audience, at least when we were there, nobody asked any. several parents were disappointed that no one spoke up. one man wanted to know about a rumor circulated and we

him. some of the children may have been unknowingly taking some of this drug that had been added to their drinking water, so i realized the whole thing is bad, but that's particularly troubling for me. that's why it's under investigation. i mean, there may be some, i believe there were some that knew. what we have to do is make sure that we go through it all, get all their statements, work through it all before we do anything, if we do any charges and what the charges will be. you don't know what could happen if things were, in fact, put in someone's drink. >> it's very scary and i do see a lotto oh you know, i do hear a lot going on at the high school of other things. it's trickling down. and it tears me as a parent. i don't think we're geeing the exuks that we need. >> the incident on friday as wactly the second time this month that students here at river bend middle school are believed to have been drinking a xanax mix during class. four additional kids were

a case in early april. now, there's another fact that officials wanted parents to be aware of tonight. they say if your child is abusing xanax they would act similarly to somebody that was under the influence of alcohol. live in sterling, lauren demarco, fox5 local news. >> montgomery county police rested and charged this man with rape and robbery. thirty-three year old and torah contact mar a is accused of raping a woman yesterday afternoon along castle boulevard along silver springs. the victim was walking on the sidewalk when contact mar a grabbed her from behind and pushed her to the ground. the suspect also sexually assaulted her and stole some money from her purse. contact mar a is currently being held without bond. tonight people in delaware and our area are mourning the loss of a take it& trooper killed in the line of duty. family and fellow officers in delaware lined the street as the body of corporal steven ballard was moved to a funeral home today. he was

this h afternoon. police say the accident involved a motorcycle and a car. the motorcycle rider is reportedly in serious condition. the driver of the car was not hurt. the accident shot down all westbound lanes of the highway in the middle of the afternoon rush hour. it has since reopened. the cause of the crash under investigation. >> it was called one the largest fires in prince george's county his trivment a five alarm fire at an apartment complex in college park. the cause of that fire is still under investigation tonight. the fire broke out monday morning along berwyn house road. fire crews were back on the scene this afternoon watching for some potential flareups. the fire caused nearly $40 million in damage and so far it appears to be accidental. >> a virginia woman is taking on her own church after a confrontation about breast feeding. fox5's teisha lewis spoke to her tonight. >>reporter: we're live in springfield and what i can tell you tha

this past sunday at nine:30. by monday the mother was determined to tell the church about the state's breast feeding law. she says they never responded to her calls, so guess what she did, she called an attorney and posted about the incident on social media. >> more than thousand and views and counting for the rant on facebook live. it was posted less than 24 hours after she says she was approached by four different church employees chastising for breast feeding her one year old daughter without a cover at summit church. she moved from one location to the next until she finally left. we a talked to via face time. i sat down on the floor and started nursing her and somebody, a church employee came up to me right away and covered up my baby

well we have a lovely mom's room. i said, so that's great, thank you, but that's okay. i don't need it. >> pennsylvania gair oh says she returned to the sanctuary only to be approached by another church employee. here she was standing over me during the certify mean and very disruptive and i was singled out and i decided to leave. >> she says on her way out a pastor's wife then told her the church's unwritten policy encourages mothers to go to a mom's room. she shared that men would feel uncomfort if they saw me breast feeding, teenagers would feel uncomfortable and they didn't want to do that to men or to new church goers. a mom has a right to breast p feed her child anywhere where she is there's no state law for her to cover up.

sick after drinking a spiked with xanax. they hosted this meeting for parents after it was found out that seven middle school students drank a liquid that was laced with xanax on friday, on the same day two students from potomac falls high school were found to have xanax beverages in their possession and were possibly under the influenzas well. the sheriff's office is looking between a connection between the two and a says charges may be filed. we've also learned that this is the second time this month that students have been ingesting liquid laced with xanax at this same middle school. a mother right here in our hometown says she was asked to gipt and leave while breast feeding in church. and now she's taking legal action. teisha lewis post office to her. what did she have to say. >>reporter: mainly that she feels like church members in springfield violated state breast feedi
