some still frames that they took from video, surveillance video from inn sigh, the suspect was in around different parts of the building anywhere from little bit more 9:00 o'clock in the morning until about 9:45 when this picture here that you see was taken. so he was seen in many areas around the building sunday morning. and arlington county police say once inside he began knocking on doors claiming he was a maintenance worker. then when the victim opened her door, police say the man attacked her and sexually assaulted her. police say they believe perhaps that this suspect was able to kind of sneak in behind somebody who was going they call that piggybacking. that's the information that they have at this time. we don't know how much more information they've developed on this suspect. we can tell you the woman actually was her injuries were significant enough that she needed to be hospitalized after this attack so certainly a very serious crime here. one person that we talk to said he thinks he may have seen this

let's show you some of those pictures one more time. so folks can get a good look very clear pictures here. police tell us that he is about 20 years old in that range. and early 20s they say approximately sick feet tall with slim build. also you see wearing the gray hooded sweatshirt dark pants and backpack black backpack with under armor logo on it. at this point, arlington county police say this does appear to be a random crime. certainly they were here yesterday for about 12 hours canvassing the building talking to folks handing out flyers. fl. more information so they are asking anyone who has anything to add to this to please give them call. live in rosslyn, melanie alnwick fox live local news. >> did police say did he try other doors or this was just literally the first person who was going to answer the door he was going to go in their apartment? >> reporter: from, n their words they said he was knocking on doors. so that is our belief that perhaps he had knocked on few until somebody answered. >> all

melanie alnwick live in ross lindh for us this morning. >> more details to come from that case. happening today a hearing set for one of the teens at the center of of the rockville rape case. 17-year-old jose mon ton know will be in court today. last month when mon ton know and 18-year-old henry sanchez were accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at rockville high school. on friday the rape charges were dropped. authorities say there was a lack of testified charge them with rape and that the 14-year-old girl had consensual sex with the two teens. mon ton know and sanchez will face child porn charges and facing deportation. 90:00 sick. let's check the morning briefing. a former acting attorney general heading to the hill. today sally yates will speak publicly for the first time about the concerns she raised to the white house about contact with russia. yates will testify to a senate panel investigating moscow's interference with the presidential election. president trump fired yates ten days after taking office after the obama administration hold over refused to back a

camera confrontation between two shoppers in the check outline at a trader joe's in reston going viral. >> the incident was up loaded to facebook this weekend it involves two women in the check outline and some controversial comments about muslims. our bob barnard live in reston this weren't with what spark the spat. bob, what happened here? >> reporter: well, holly, the lady who recorded the video had let the other woman cut in front of her. that woman said she was in a rush and as they were standing there, apparently, the other woman started making derogatory comments about another shopper who was wearing a head dress. kind of anti muslim statements apparently. so that's why the other lady pulled out her camera. her phone and started recording. she, too, muslim hears the beginning of that interaction caught on camera. >> so you played dumb and then you say that everybody is... i got it. shouldn't have let in you front of me.

annie says, harder to believe that this occurred in reston. reston is a big melting pot of many cultures. it's been this way for years. and piper says, the fact that people like this continue their rants knowing they're being recorded shows that they're very comfortable with their ignorance and they really believe this type of behavior will go without consequence. sad. and that's it, guys a lot of people obviously blasting the woman for making these apparently racist comments, and others defending her right to say it and saying the other lady why did she record it? we have posted the full video. it starts kind of in the middle of their conversation. but the whole video is out there. it's on our website as well and we're just curious what possible think. what you guys think. >> hey, just real quick. has trader joe's said anything about this interaction, this interchange? >> reporter: nothing officially. although the people here say they recognize the woman in the video. she's been a customer here. we've been inside and none of the employees here now

over the weekend at the time that this thing was recorded. >> bob dorks we know did anything happen or was just a conversation and then the two women went on their way? >> reporter: we believe they went on their way. nothing happened more than just this interaction being recorded. the late shed was buying avocados or something and just eventually went on her way. police were not call. no formal complaint was made. the lady who recorded the video wants to remain anonymous. she's not looking to do any interviews. again shared it with a friend who posted it on social media. there is talk in the community about who the lady because you can see her face at one point who that lady is, might she be a teacher in the community? nothing confirmed. that's what some people are saying. they recognize her as possibly a teacher in fairfax county. but no name and nothing off official. >> i hope that's not the case she's a teacher because that really would be deplorable on every level even more so i should say. thanks, bob. >> 9:13 is the time. coming and next on good day, blast that sugar out

♪ >> 9:24. hope your monday is off to great start so far. get up to speed what's making headlines on this among morning. erin como joins us with that. >> first up we're starting in north korea. north korea has detained another american citizen. the news agency says the american is kim hack song he's accused of committing unspecified hostile acts against north korea. he worked for the university of science and technology. three other americans are currently detained in north korea. to texas now, governor craig abbott signed a sanctuary city's ban. the ban allows police officers to ask people if they're in the u.s. legally during a traffic stop. the new texas law is facing major backlash for being one of the toughest immigration laws in the country. governor abbott signed the law last night on facebook life. he signed it without letting anyone know in advance. happening today, disable drivers who park at special meters in parts of

to begin paying for those spots. up until now, the red top meters in the central business district were reserved for handicapped drivers and were free. but now handicapped drivers will pay up to 2.30 an hour at the meters as well just like any other driver. check out this red carpet mess. wild weather hit hard last night at the mtv movie and tv awards in los angeles. that's hail hitting the red carpet sending stars running for cover. the hail fell for about ten minutes and it was just long enough for most of the celebrities to run inside instead of stopping to mingle with the crowd. spend a lot of time getting ready so didn't want to mess up the hair and makeup. finally, it was a very long night in chic shock for the yankees and the cubs. they didn't get done playing around 2:00 o'clock this morning. the game went 18 innings and that's actually the longest inner league game ever it took circumstances six hours and five minutes to complete and both teams combined for a major league record of 48 strike outs.

he goes i'm really sorry, i'm homeless. so in that moment, i feel a lot of shame because in so many ways i have everything at home and nothing on this journey but then he does something profound. he says if you want, you can come and stay with me tonight. i'll feed you, i'll protect you, and i'll give you some clothes. that's exactly what he did. and the next morning i was able to put him up in an apartment and send him back to school. >> and that's the second part of the story. so when people showed you kindness, you then surprised them. >> yes. >> with amazing acts of kindness. >> yes. >> can you give me a few more examples of that. >> for example, i went to india. and i met this rickshaw driver who put me up in his house. let me stay with his family. he used to rent to rickshaw. a lot of money would go to renning the rickshaw. and the next morning after having spent the night with him and his family i purchased a rickshaw for him. so he no longer that is a to rent a rickshaw it's funny because i went to see him about a year

some say it's entertainment something in the background what is it you hope they get out of it? can they really get the healing process gun or do they need to hire a coach like you to help them further along in the process? >> the first and that i want to do is create the conversation because there's so many common problems that we all experience but we don't have the conversation about it. nobody wants to -- anyone else to know that this is going on. my husband is cheating. my child is on drugs. i'm falling apart sign so some of the things we've exposed are just to begin the conversation. and then once you begin the conversation, what i do on the show and then following up the show on youtube deeper dive is tell people, this how you address this. what i do on fix my life i identify the problem. explore some of the possible causes of the problem, and then offer solution to the problem. so fix doesn't begin on the show. the fix begins when you go and dot work

17 months of depression since my father passed away and i can see the silver lining yet. this comes from sharon. >> there's nothing i can do with that. grief is a natural organic process the only thing i would offer her to make a distinction between mourning and grieving. when you're mourning you're stuck in the sense of lot loss of things you may never have again because you've lost this person. and when you're grieving, it's just really readjusting to the new normal. and giving yourself permission to feel the loss but knowing that you will move forward even when it doesn't look like you will. but grieving there's no coaching, counseling that i can offer for grieving. if you find that it's really affecting your life in dull or damaging ways, then i would say you need to talk to a counselor or therapist. >> we hope her words helped. take heed of that. let's get to the neck question. >> my teenaged daughter is having a hard time in high school w
