predicted something like that. a lot of oh focus from what we're hearing today from people who are intimately familiar with both the fbi and sources at the white house say out of all of the people you mentioned it's perhaps john pistol rising to the top and quickly. who is john pistol? well, he was the director of the tsa during the obama administration. now, that is an agency that does not have a lot of love. obviously, it gets a lot of shots from people who are going through airports. probably one of the government agencies peanut butter deal with most. but rewind when he took the job. tsa was in a mess, there ere investigations about lapsed security checks going on. pistol got a lot of credit for going into tsa riding that ship and advancing to technology. advancing the use of body scanners. they're commonplace now but remember they were controversial at the time when they were introduced. introducing more invasive pat-downs which, yes, are sti

you cannot argue that we have not had an air-born related terror disaster since we have had the richard read shoe bomber incident. john pistol is also a former deputy director of this building the fbi headquarters that we're standing in front of right now. dana fuente is also somebody they mention, he's the us attorney for the eastern district of virginia. he took over after sally yates was fired. there's some concern that because fuente was involved in that incidents that he may be politically tarnished, which he was reviewed as kind of a bipartisan justice department official before that, that seems not to be the days right now. but you know? jim and shawn, we spoke to senator mark warner earlier. it's clear now that we have thee move forward, somebody is going to be picked by that job. warner said in order to move on from here, that somebody has to be somebody who is both independen

that the replacement has to come from within that agency, because agency itself is so particular that only somebody who comes of it can work in it. that might not necessarily be the case, and given what's going on with fbi that might not necessarily be the solution right here. what we can tell you is the fbi employees we spoken to here today, they're sad to see james comey go. however, they also know that this fbi has taken its hits over last couple of years and they do want a fresh start and they do want to restore the reputation that up until the last couple of years this building has been stellar. >> all eyes will be watching for sure. tom fitzgerald thank you. so in the midst of this whole comey firing, not to be forgotten, democrats still moving forward, with the healthcare show down, we'll talk about that on the other side. we'll be right back. >> james comey is fired, latest on

politicians, the people who are in your area, we spoke with tim kaine about the hot topics, of course, healthcare, i caught up with him after this democratic policy and communications committee hearing, there were a handful of democrat senators, senator tim kaine was one, core re booker of new jersey also been a vocal opponent of this healthcare bilk what they were doing was listening to constituents with their stories of how obama, the affordable care act has been helpful to them. there was one story from a local man from virginia who said that he was diagnosed with cancer, paying for insurance himself and during a window, he would have been uncovered and unable to receive insurance, had that stipulation not been put in to be able to get covered with a preexisting condition. of there were actually a lot of emotions, the senators shed tears. i did catch up with tim kaine after the event and pointed out the fact that while these stories were certainly heart felt, there are, of course,

affordable care act as it is. what does he say to that? could this be the solution? take a listen. >> healthcare is the most important thing in anybody's life. why would you rush it? why would you want to ignore what these people say? why would you want to not allow amendments? why would you want to push something throug with one party involved? so you got to give the issue the dignity and importance that it deserves. >> reporter: he went on to say if we want to meet president trump's promises we need to continue to have more events like this listening to caregivers and medical professionals, people who have benefitted from the affordable care act in order to make the necessary improvements. and then as i said, of course, we have to talk about fbi james comey. really, the thing that many conservatives pointed out and people on both sides of the aisle, there's simply that

extremely critical of james comey and the e-mail investigation during the election and whether or not it affected it. is it hypocrisy? listen to what he had to say >> i've been critical of james comey, i think he made a huge blunder in the way he handled some of that right before the election. but he is supposed to be independent. i'm supposed to be able to criticize him. he was fired for one reason. he was fired because the fbi is engaged in an investigation into donald trump and his team's collusion with america's principal state adversary russia and he doesn't like fact that president that the net is tightening in this investigation, and that's why he let comey go. >> reporter: in today's press briefly, the press secretary -- the deputy press secretary said that any investigations that are currently under going will continue without a james comey, back to you. >> thank you very much. well, our next guest might be a politician when she gross up some day >> she's incredible, only in fourth grade but will answer the question
