custody, facing charges in the attack, against the man. his name is john rollie. he said he was just standing on the platform at gallery place friday night when someone came up and attacked him and when he hit the ground several other joined in and beat him on the head. >> i was pulled down onto the platform floor. people beating on me. they pushed me toward the train, which at that point was starting to accelerate. and my hands hit the train. i've now broken my hand, and may need to have surgery. >> police took photos of the suspect and passed them out to other officers. those juveniles later arrested at union station, and learning two others are charged in a separate attack, that happened at lafant plaza, beat by group every people last night, that man also recovering from his injuries. how safer is the bus you ride to and from work? should it even be out there on the roadways? one fleet in the region is showing major signs of wear and tear, and the problem so bad on any given day, a third of the buses can't even get off the lot. we're talking about the

it has been around since the year 2005. and that fleet is getting old. here are s photos, if you can take a look here, this is some proof of the poor conditions, buses are in. haven't really been maintained, it appears, the fleet is operated by first transit. and as we mentioned, a lot of them just struggle to get off the lot. ridership is down 14% this year, and on-time performance tanked last month. so, we spoke with wam transportation reporter fox5 contributor about the ongoing issues. >> the mechanics may not have the proper expertise. they're overlooking defect and buses are going back out on the road, then often breaking and having to come back to this lot where the drivers sit around for hours waiting for working bus. none of the 12 mechanics, none of the 12 mechanics, has asc certification. automotive service excellence, district's contract doesn't require it, but raise serious questions about the expertise of

sides, the police force, and the community. and it is basically about african-american police officer who was a rookie on the job. basically forced to step into the chaos of the african community and the police force, not even wanting to, but realize there is so much cup on on the force, determined to make peace, determined to bridge the gap between the two. so this story just all about trying to provoke a conversation, and just create change, and some healing, within our society. >> i think it is a great story that hasn't necessarily been told from that angle. >> it has not. >> very tumultuous couple of years in the country. the fill testimony self, you need help moving it forward? it isn't completely finished, is that correct? >> not completely finished, but we'll say thank you jesus. we do have a lot of potential investors that are going to help this story get made. so, we do need some funding
