palka. >> here we go round two and just a few minutes ago had a severe thunderstorm warning cancelled for culpeper, and, but we do still have strong storms that will be crossing the beltway. this is the line that we're watching, you'll recall yesterday gainsville got hit multiple times with storms, these also moving right along 66 and the northern portion of that particular storm we think will be crossing fairfax county and maybe the beltway here in the next little while. heads up for that. that's a storm we're talking about, heavy rain, lightening, a little while ago, the gusts were up here severe levels and down towards warrington remington, another storm with heavy rain, and we can follow that all the way down to culpeper. between now and about 8:00 we got to wait for this line to move on through and you again, it is starting to find more entering in the atmosphere and you can expect heavy rain,

then release the evidence. what we know today is that a concerned citizen notified the pennsylvania state police early this morning and said that there was a concern about why this man was coming to washington. and at this hour, we still don't know. i reached out to several of his relative today, one answered the phone. then hung up on me for the second identified himself as a relative, and i asked him, do you know why he was coming here to washington? he said no. but i said, do you know whether or not he might have been coming here to harm people and he said absolutely not. let's tell you the rest of the story. it was around 12:30 this morning, dc police say they received a tip from the pennsylvania state police that brian moles was on his way to the car., and he had firearms i- after alerting the state secret service and security at the hotel, police say they found moles about a half hour after he had checked in. after searching his car in the garage, police say they found a glock 23 handgun, a carbon

master rival, 30 rounds of 7.62 ammo and 60 rounds of .223 ammo. he has been charged with carrying a pistol without a license and possession of unregistered ammunition. although moles is charged with making threats, dc police chief peter newsham said they took the initial tip very seriously. >> i could tell you this. i was very concerned about this circumstance, very peculiar and i believe that the officers and our federal partners and in particular the tipster coming forward overted a potential disaster in our nation's capitol. >> interview of mr. moles was conducted by agents in the washington field office which revealed he posed no immediate threat. the secret service in conjunction with federal state and local partners conducting a comprehensive

it was in this neighborhood, the victim apparently begged him to stop driving the cab and let her out. police say ultimately, a third party in another car witnessed the exchange and forced the cab to stop here. i did speak to an attorney for the cab union and had an odd response saying he was not a member of the union. this person has been fingerprinted and is in the system and sirfible. so when this happens it's easier to verify who this person was. the strange response coming from general counsel for the washington, dc taxi operators association. the victim was picked up in the u street entertainment district in northwest. at some point during the assault, she told police that the cab driver took her phone and threw it out the window. that phone was discovered about a block ay

standing. the cab driver's attorney is quoted as saying that his client is presumed innocent and then wait until all of the facts come out. tisha lewis, fox 5 local news. the fbi is asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of sexual assaulting a minor at arlington national cemetery. the fbi says it happened on memorial day, the man and a female minor who do i not know each other were standing in a crowd during the wrench laying ceremony. the man repeatedly touched the victim inappropriately. if you recognize this man, contact authorities. also in virginia, police are trying to track down a man who used fake movie money to get changed. we first told you about this last week and this incident happened saturday morning at a wawa in the 2900 block of plank road in fredericksberg. he asked the clerk to make change for $100 bill. and the cashier realized that bill was movie

will work. starting monday, customers can park free one hour before 5:00 p.m. weekdays and completely free between 5:00 p.m. and 3:30 in the morning, after 3:30, they will start charging again. parking will also be free in the parking structure on weekends and holidays, which has always been the case. the company that owns the town center boston properties said this change comes in response to the feedback they've gotten from the community checks includes some of those protests that were organized by the businesses here like restaurants and shops, that say they have lost a huge amount business ever since they started charging for parking here. >> 50% of our business is gone. 50%. and our staff has had to leave, go find other jobs. hours have been cut. projected projects are put off. you don't know what to do or expect. we don't see any end and they weren't, you know

come through, as quickly they seem to leave. right now, here's the cluster of showers and thunderstorms we're watching, the severe thunderstorm warning was expired for montgomery loudoun and fairfax county. rain and lightening over there. even over past 30's minutes, prince george's county you're next, there is lightening there, however, definitely the heavier part of storm is north of dc, moving to the top side to have the beltway. this cannot be fun for anyone who's on the beltway right now, i'm seeing a lot of lightening and flagging some hail from rockville all the way down towards bethesda and more eastern sections of montgomery county and probably northern parts of the district, bethesda you're getting heavy rain and lightening, mclean virginia that will be northern dc takoma park within the next couple of minutes. it's still a pretty strong storm with history of producing hail, this moves quickly but very light hail indicated in the storm, actually the heaviest is

up over reston ashburn, sterling, places in virginia. that's where the warning was issued. this hasn't been an incredibly strong line of severe thunderstorms but it had juice as it crosses 95 and as soon as this moves away, it is out ahead of of a cold front. we should clear out. the actual front is across western is sections of pennsylvania and west virginia, that will move through later around 11:00 p.m. or midnight. look at these temperature, isn't it shocking what rain will do? i can't believe this is right. back down into the 50's already, these temperatures. behind this front, 78 in washington or behind these storms, 69 in annapolis, but the heavy rain knocking it back down into the 50's and the 40's. i would almost question that. the thunderstorms can really do something with your temperatures, severe weather this evening under a marginal risk and really what we have is all we'll get in terms of potential severe weather that cluster is crossing the area and fox futurecast shows it moves off into sections o

maryland, anne arundel, calvert county within the next 30's minutes, you say me heavy rain and lightening, same maryland, charles county and st. mary's county. by 10:00, 11:00. clouds and maybe a brief shower is the actual front. that is crossing and then behind that front, high pressure builds in and it should be an excellent top to bottom really nice thursday forecast. we haven't had main days like this, that just starting and end beautifully but tomorrow will be one, temperatures into the 80's, right around 80, sunshine low humidity, it should be nice. low temperatures, once we rebound from the shocking drop in the temperature, that will be in the 50's and 60's, tomorrow most of us in the 70's should hit 80 in washington, a beautiful pool day, friday looks nice too and most of saturday. that thunderstorm shouldn't be until the evening and we'll be rather spotty. so we'll save the unsettled weather for sunday and looks cloudy, showery and cool yet again in that
