found on the second level here inside the museum. it's in the segregation section. it's a gallery that documents segregation and the tourists we spoke to say there was a heavy security presence following the discovery and investigators did shut down the gallery for few hours yesterday. here's some reaction now from tourists in the museum's deputy director. >> kind of like sad to hear, too about all the hate that goes around. >> i am concerned about this act of coward just as my director lonnie bunch is and as he said in his statement, i'm also though encouraged that already we're getting incredible support from our online community and from friends and colleagues who are showing solidarity with us and support for what the museum does. >> reporter: now, lonnie bunch the museum's founding director has released a statement saying quote this incident is a reminder of

we clearly see that's not the case. i think that there's more sympathy for people who have drug issues than say alcohol. and so i think because of this, maybe he is not a victim but there's more compassion for him now because it was more of a drug thing than an alcohol thing. that's just my opinion but, you know, either way i do hope he gets the help he needs. clearly something is going on here and it's sad to see a legend in this situation. >> i agree. i think the compassion is definitely there and everyone the hope he'll come back. the question is, will he ever get his golf game back at the level that it was? that we don't know. >> in terms of just personally and, you know, him being healthy, mentally and physically, i think everybody is pulling for him. >> yeah. the hard part is living your life when you're somebody like him a super star if you will former super star when you live your life out in the public like that everybody, you know, at this point nose about what happened with tiger and his wife and that whole drama and the golf club. >> i think there was less compassion for that. >> right. >> this situation is totally different. >> that was the beginning of the

fox5's bob barnard is live in bethesda with the details. bob? >> reporter: yeah guys triple a mid atlantic done a study as you mentioned these young 16 and 17-year-old drivers they're out of school on row and they put out a graphic that basically stars the stark numbers. there were 1600 teen fatalities in the past five years during these 100 deadliest days. these are 16 and 17-year-old drivers. the numbers between 2015 and 2016 were up 10% and this is data from the federal government, the national highway traffic safety administration nhtsa. they say there are a number of contributing factors in these teen deaths in recent years. of course, they're distracted, drivers are distracted texting on the phone, playing with the radio talking to friend. they're also not buckling up according to aaa and, yes, they are also speeding. so what is the solutio

and so i'm kind of stuck on my own now with my three daughters ranging in age from 15, 12 and eight. >> i like -- rosa likes to have a party life. she likes to date and go out in the evening and she dolls herself up and they like to catch her when she's coming in at 6am and razz her and you know give her a lot of trouble and grief. >> laugh la. >> she's just -- will we see this happening to her and she's pretty -- she's a pretty good egg about the whole thing in the end she's going i can't, you know, i do not need to take this walk of shame through my granddaughters chiding every time i decided -- i decide i want to have little fun at ni night. back out there again. but the advice with women i think it's pretty much between his family with rosa with the girls with his brother with his work family, they are kind of giving advice of what, who they they he should be with but i don't think that's necessarily the right person. >> the girls and i know that he's a great guy and we, he just needs a little push. so we have to nudge him in the direction of all these very nice looking girls who seem to be good material for him, and give eight chance. he's a little reluctant to do that. i think probably because he was very much in love with his wife and because once you're a widower, i think it changes i was little. he's kind of still -- he doesn't in a funny way want to replace the memory of my daughter who passed away and was a loss for all of us. he doesn't want to replace that memory and that p
