her name is reality winner, 25 years old and a contractor with the national security agency. and the secret she's accused of spilling are bomb shells. new evidence of hacking by the russians just days before the presidential election. fox5's bob barnard is live near the nsa headquarters in ft. meade, maryland, now with the& story. bob? >> reporter: hey, maureen. information that was leaked to this little known website reveals what our government knows about russian military intelligence efforts to really mess with last november's presidential election. the intercept that's the name of that website publish the information yesterday although reality winner was arrested saturday in georgia. she is as you mentioned was a contractor for the nsa. what did the nsa know about russian hacking during last year's election? perhaps much more than we were aware of. according to classified intelligence, leak to the website the intercept, russian hackers tried to inn fill straight us voting software.

were successful but the revelation goes far beyond the leaked e-mails and campaign meddling russia has already been accused of. so who leak it? evidence points to a 25-year-old federal contractor reality lee winner just arrested in georgia with a justice department saying on or about may ninth she printed improperly removed classified intelligence reporting which contained classified national defense information a few days later winter transmitted by mail the intelligence reporting to online nauseate outlet. and it raises larger questions about the flood of leaks coming from the nation's intelligence community. >> i don't care if you're republican or democrat it doesn't matter what administration, when you have classified information, you cannot put that out there just because you think it would be a good idea. i want people in handcuffs and i want to see people behind bars. >> reporter: that has been the position of the white house as well. with president trump tweeting last month, i have been asking director comey and others from the beginng

administration to find the leakers in the intelligence community. since that time, comey has been fired. but he will return to capitol hill on thursday to tell lawmakers what he knows about russia and about conversations he had with the president. >> now, little more information about reality winner. she was pretty much new to the game just started working for that alexandria, virginia, based government contractor earlier this year. her facebook page which is still up and available says she's 25 years old, single, again, lives in nearby columbia, maryland, but was working for this government contractor in georgia at the time of her arrest over the weekend. guys. >> all right, information still coming from there. bob barnard this morning. thank you. >> let's get to the morning briefing. first up president trump continuing to take some heat for a series of tweets making reference to his controversial travel ban. critics say those tweets posted monday morning could under cut the administration' defense in the tweets the president took aim at the justice department for asking the supreme court to

police have named a third attacker he's 22-year-old yousef, police say he lived in london and was not on their radar. the other two a tuck kearse were named yesterday. police are now searching for accomplices. seven people killed dozens wounded. police shot and killed the three attackers all 12 of the people that were held have been freed. the country's terror level remains at severe. earlier this morning people across britain paused for a movement silence to remember those killed and injured in the attack. isis is also claiming responsibility for deadly shoot out with police in melbourne, australia. this was yesterday. the terror group says one of its fighters acted alone when he took hostages inside of an apartment building two men were killed during the standoff and three police officers were injured. the gunman was eventually killed by officers. >> meanwhile here at home new developments in deadly double shooting overnight in montgomery county. >> we now know the entities of the victims found inside a car. melanie alnwick joins us live from the scene with the

details. mel? >> reporter: good morning, guys. what we're learning from montgomery county police is the two men who were shot inside that vehicle right here last night are 17 and 18 years old. montgomery county police identified them as is a dee addy naja. the 17-year-old from germantown and are a item s. saber off 18 years old of germantown. gaithersburg in montgomery village on gallery court this is where the double homicide occurred last night. police tell us it began with a 911 call around 10:46. residents on this very quite street report that they heard gunshots. sixth district officers got here to the scene they found the vehicle, a blue honda, the windows had been shot out or perhaps the windshield it was kind of hard to tell from our vantage point but definitely you could see glass down on the street and around the vehicle. they said that the two men inside were suffering from gunshot

here on the scene. neighbors told they they didn't recognize the car and while they're concerned about crime, they're most saddened about these two young deaths. >> it's not about your property or what happened in your neighbor. it's the fact that somebody lost their lives over something and the world is changing, and that's -- that's unfortunate. it's very unfortunate situation. >> reporter: at this point no information from montgomery county police in terms of motive or in terms of any kind of look out for a suspect or suspects. only say that the investigation is continuing and they'd like to hear from anyone who perhaps has information as to what these two young men were involved in. why they might have been here last night. there is a reward for information in the case. live in montgomery village, melanie alnwick, fox live local news. >> mel, thanks very much. 9:10. happening today d.c. police plan to release security camera video of a

>> day number two of bill cos by sex assault trial due to get underway in 15 minutes from now. yesterday the legendary comedian showed up with one of his former co-stars at his side she's one of those sticking with him. >> yesterday the jury which has been sequestered for the duration of the trial includes seven men and five women yesterday they heard testimony from one of dozens of women who have accused of cosby of sexual assault. maureen has more now about what happened in the courtroom. mo. >> indeed. bill cosby sex assault trial underway more than 60 women have accused of cos beef sexual assault. but this is the only case in criminal court one of the big questions, will the mother of one of the accusers be a loud to testify? >> they'll be an argument over whether my client's mother can testify, and apparently the defense doesn't want that. >> on the stand monday a woman named kelly johnson who used to work for bill cosby's agent telling jurors cosby sexually assault heard back i

claiming she told her mother after. >> maybe they're afraid that the mother would corroborate what kelly allegedly indicated to her mother about what happened. >> cosby's lawyer responded questioning her credibility. this after opening remarks by prosecutors saying they would use cosby' own words to convict him of sexually assaulting and drugging a woman named andrea constand back in 2004. cosby's lawyer insisting to juror that is constand made up the assault saying cosby's quote infiinfidelities made him vulnerable. defense attorney saying constand took her parents to see cosby perform after the alleged assault and said constand continued to call cosby more than 50 times in the months after. cosby was joined in court monday by his former tv daughter actress keisha knight pulliam. >> you are innocent until proven guilty. >> as for andrea constand expected to take the stand and testify in public for the first time this week. cosby himself is not

a disgruntled former worker walk into a factory in orlando, florida, yesterday armed with handgun and proceeded to shoot and kill five people. police say 45-year-old robert knewman, jr., specifically targeted all of his victims. several other workers were inside that factory at the time of the shooting. none of them was hurt. no word on a motive yet. in 2014 he was accused of battering a fellow worker. he was never charged with a crime for that incident. virginia governor terry mcauliffe will sign anti bullying legislation later in woodbridge. initial goal so prevent bullying in virginia schools but the two bills being signed today aimed at preventing or re reducing ten suicides. one bill requires that parents be notified within five days when and if their child is being bullied in school. the second would require all school counselors be trained in bullying and suicide prevention. forest park high school will be the back drop for today's bill signing ceremony. apple

after two muslim students say they were targeted for wearing hijabs. it happened in freedom high school in prince william county now the district is apologizing. tisha lewis spoke to the students about what exactly they say happened. she said, you guys need to carry around note at all times because some of the students at the school quote unquote like wear hijabs or head scarfs because they didn't lay their edges or take out their tracks. that's what she told me. >> reporter: alarming assertions about freedom high school's principal and assistant principal are coming from muslim students. both are seniors who say administrators have harassed them for wearing their hijabs. we asked for a response to these specific assertions but spoke person refused to respond saying they will not respond point by point on the situation. >> i would wear the hijab to school and administrators would stop me in the hallway and they'd say okay you need to take

off your hijab. do you have a note? i'd say, no. so they're like you have to get a note or else we'll send you home. still after even though high a note on file i still got stopped on thought even if i it on file that they would not -- i wouldn't have teacart around. no, they said, you have to have it with you in order for to you wear it. >> reporter: the tipping point was thursday a mid rom ma don. she says the school's assistant principal approach her as she was sitting in the courtyard with friends. >> you in the purple hijab you need to take eight you have if you don't take it off then you're going to get sent home. i was like i'm not taking it o off. like i'm fasting it's my religion no need for me to take it off. the neck day after school, people started protesting with me. people who are not even muslim were wearing hijabs as well to protest with us. so that's when i fell like the reason why they apologized was because it was getting a lot of attention. >> reporter: the attention was fueled by the twitter post that caught the eye of the district
