stay in the 60s. this 70 is for d.c. so that's a little bit cool for this time of year by some 12-degrees. thursday we're also cool at 72-degrees although i think there will be a little bit more sunshine and toward the end of the day tomorrow we may see the clouds start to thin out a little bit. those are our cool days on the seven day forecast, but most of the seven day forecast is going to be dominated by summer heat which is going to big return on sunday. friday about 81-degrees. saturday, 86 and then we pop up to 92 on sunday, 94 on monday and tuesday. notice that is three days in a row at or above 90. that would qualify as a heatwave fit verifies and compare it to the average which you'll climb from eight t to 84 by the time you get into tuesday. it's definitely going to be getting hot. where is the cool air coming from. we have a slow moving and rather week low pressure system parked over the northeast. i was chilly today in boston

still wearing the down coats and the scarfs wondering when they're going to get out of this. they have dipped down into a portion eastern maryland moving across the bay and into the delaware area. they've been fairly light in this region, but a couple of spottier heavier downpours. temperature wise we're still holding onto a p 0-degree reading in d.c., but that is certainly the exception you don't see anybody else at 70. culpeper 57, manassas, 58, gaithersburg is 61, annapolis still 71, but i think most places are going to fall into the 50s to near 60 tonight. there's that chilly reading in new york city.s about ton back at 49 and then follow the arrows and the wind flow and you begin to see the on shore flow to begin tomorrow. that is what's going to happen tomorrow. it may spread light showers from east to west, but by the afternoonay

touch of sunshine much as the day goes on,s that that layer pushes more to the west it will take the light showers it with. this is what we're thinking in terms of highs tomorrow. it could be as cool as 626. sixty-seven for dulles, 66 for gates but, 68 for frederick, d.c. about 70. sixty-nine for quantico much that's quite a departure from today. let me take you hour by hour through the forecast so you can see that while it does see a few showers around it has a little bit too far south on our futurecast because they're a little bit north of baltimore, but as the evening goes on the clouds definitely thicken and by l in the morning it's lot a of clouds. we have. not a lot of rain, this would be very light, but it would be the kind of intermittent wipe thing forth windshield wipe ers. by noon you can see where most of the activity has pushed west side of the beltway and the showers from d.c. on east are

scattered about and not the very noteworthy. by 5:00 a few breaks in the overcast trying to show up but we still show some of the showers to the south and west. that's how things are going by wevmentd by late on wednesday we're starting to clear on out. but thursday we're back with the qulowdz with fewer showers and breaks of sunshine. why do we heat up so fast as we get into the humidity. that cranks in a different wind, a south and southwest wind and that will heat us up. there is a lot of hot air that is being blocked by this system is that rotating to our north and the east winds that is that general rating. we're going to see by sunday afternoon, the humidity back, the summer feel will be back and the 90s will be back as we head into the weekend. your fox5 sn forecast. these are your two cool daze feeling more like early spring here. by friday we start to transition back into the warmer mass with a lot of sunshine,
