just to give you a pretty good picture of how things stood. we were actually into the low 80's right across-the-board at all three airports. 84 at reagan national. dulles 80 and 80 at bwi thurgood marshall and it's been a really warm day. you know, it was a little on the breezy side but other than that, it was really fairly pleasant out there overall. satellite and radar not a whole lot to show you on this and that's because we're under the influence of a ridge of high pressure so not much happening in the cloud department at all. we'll see a few clouds tonight but really not too much to be concerned with and that's the same story as we move through into tomorrow. so, here's a quick look at your weekend forecast for you. oh, yeah, heating it up. we expect to be 90 degrees tomorrow with some sunshine and just a few clouds. less clouds on sunday but sunday's going to be a lot hotter at 94 degrees. not to mention humidity, that unwanted house guest will be making an appearance as it comes back into the picture and sunday will be a

>> never gave out confirmation. i asked when can i see the plane tickets, when can i see the confirmation. i have the tickets. >> reporter: 17-year-old lena says that was the last time she heard back from george with senior grad trips. her mother got involved. she sent us these texts asking about the students' tropical get a way but there was no response. >> i planned this trip for nine months. i've known since my freshman year i'm going to the bahamas and now it's like what happened? i'm still waiting to get like a e-mail from them saying like by the way sorry we've been in cancun, here's your confirmation. >> reporter: 18-year-old joey is also waiting. >> my reservations from the resort we were going to go to they got canceled and we couldn't get in contact with the people at all. they just didn't call back or anything, so, they still haven't called back to this point. >> reporter: free says the

scheduled for june 17th through the 24th. >> earlier today they were posting instagrams of them with kids like out on vacation with them. >> technically you can see you haven't heard anything from them they can still come through. we have multiple groups in different parts of the nation right now saying, oh, our trip was june tenth. we did some digging and learned lena and joe wean joey aren'tthe only ones. students at a arizona high school say the web site collected $40,000 for a senior trip that reportedly never happened. they were apparently left in the school's parking lot waiting for buses to show up and take them to the airport. and the better business bureau says senior grad trips.com has a d as in david rating which is the second lowest rating the bbb as sciences. the company goes by the name eb worldwide so be on the lookout.

does give this advice to avoid becoming a victim. use reputable web sites get details about your flip trip in writing and use a credit card. it gives extra protection if anything were to go wrong. tisha lewis fox5 local news isn't that fox5 in montgomery county where police investigating a deadly car crash in kensington. skyfox over the scene around 7:30 tonight at connecticut avenue and saul road. police tell us two cars collided and struck a fire hydrant and utility pole. one person died. another in serious condition. the cause still under investigation. >> ♪ breaking news we are covering last night around this time. we have an update on those two d.c. police officers injured in a hit-and-run last night over in adams morgan. >> one officer until critical condition. the other improved somewhat. the officers were working to clear a traffic jam on 18th street when a pickup truck

drove fox5's paul wagner has the latest. >> reporter: witnesses say one bicycle officer was near the driver's side of the front of the bus while the other was a few yards up the street. >> pau, boom, hit him, ran over the bike, flattened the bike. drug him down the street. another ddot officer was standing over there. hit her, knocked her out. we ran over to help the officer. >> reporter: darien gray was working the door at madames organ when the crash occurred. how fast do you think they were going. >> at least 40 miles an hour. >> reporter: peter newsham says the driver of the metrobus sprinted towards the officers to render first aid and he praised the care the two received. >> i can tell you this. it's my opinion that the metro employee, the d.c. fire department and the folks at the hospital saved a life last night. >> reporter: newsham says officers found an assault rifle inside the

according to two sources familiar with the investigation officers also found a 100 round magazine drum but it's unclear if it was loaded with ammunition. the suspects have been identified as brandon figures mormon of prince george county virginia and dwayne nicholas taylor also of prince george. figures mormon was the driver and has been charged with assault with intent to kill. according to a recording paramedics believe the driver may have been under the influence of something and noted a pipe was that found in the truck. newsham had nothing but praise for the officers who were struck. >> they're members of this elite unit that we have down at adams morgan our night life unit. this is a team of unbelievable officers who are -- they're devastated by this thing.& this is someone in their family that was significantly injured and his prognosis like i said is unclear at this time so they're heartbroken by this. >> reporter: both injured officers are four year veterans of the force. paul wagner, fox5 local

>> meantime tonight a southeast d.c. man who admits he killed three women and two children in a drunk driving crash in oxon hill found out his punishment today. a judge sentenced kenneth kelly to 50 years in prison. he was supposed to be sentenced last month but he didn't show up. police tacked on another 25 days in prison for that offense. kelly pleaded guilty last night to charges related to that 2014 crash. he does admit he was speeding when he rear-ended a car stopped at a red light. four people in the car were killed along with a passenger inside kelly's car. >> two weeks after a federal judge stunned our region by throwing out the life sentences of convicted sniper lee boyd malvo virginia's attorney general is responding. mark herring says he'll appeal the judge's ruling. at issue is malvo could get a life sentence thi since had a ha mi

>> reporter: county fire said no to an on camera interview following instructions from their attorneys. but they did provide information saying in part, we were doing the show for recruitment purposes. we were looking at the big picture, the demographics of this show are young and female. we'd like females to be able to see that the department is not just for men. in fact, l.a. county fire has 3,010 firefighters, 48 are women, about 1.6 percent, half by comparison with l.a. city. when the county was approached about doing the kardashian so the answer was yes. at first when asked the crew was on duty but on reserve. but then said they were off duty that were contacted and willing to come in and do it. the fire department was not in service so this did not impact services. none of this a problem for the cast or family visiting from london where the show airs everyday. for them the

himself about conversations he had with comey in the white house. we get the latest from fox's john roberts. >> reporter: in the rose garden with romania's president president trump spoke for the first time in public about james comey's testimony on capitol hill. the president saying he would be happy to tell the details of their meetings to special counsel robert mueller under oath. >> 100 percent. i would be glad to tell him exactly what i just told you. >> reporter: what the president had just said was that he never asked comey to shut down the investigation into michael flynn. >> i didn't say that. >> reporter: so he lied about that. >> well, i didn't say that and there would be nothing wrong if i did saint according to everybody that i've read today but i did not say that. >> reporter: he also aggressively shot down the notion that he ever asked comey for a pledge of loyalty. >> no i didn't say that and i didn't say the other. >> reporter: but it was clear in the overall the president was very pleased with the outcome on capitol hill yesterday. >> no collusion, no obstruction. he's

him on administrative leave. >> fox5 in the district, d.c. police want you to take a look at new surveillance video. take a look. they say this man is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in march. it happened in the 2300 belong of cathedral of a northwest. you can see the victim stumbling around. she told police she has no memory of where she was that night or consenting to any sexual encounter. if you recognize the man with her there, and there's another look, give police a call. police on the hunt for a man who groped a woman o surveillance video shows the man walking up behind the woman 9 o'clock georgia of a northwest. the woman was fine but once again police looking for clues. >> if you are heading to ocean city this summer, you might be able to get your attention pretty easily actually. the beach patrol is updating its policy on topless sunbathing. workers are being told to document complaints but not approach topless women

low 80's. right now not too bad out there. it's actually 75 degrees in the nation's capitol. 67 at dulles this hour, altimore at 71. we've got 70 at frederick and 64 degrees at culpeper. so, it's fairly mild and fairly comfortable. as far as what's ahead is concerned, well, we're looking at plenty of sunshine, not bad tonight, ridge of high pressure in control. i don't have very many clouds to speak about. we'll see a few clouds moving in tonight but it won't be too bad. the big story, the jet stream well to the north, the heat is kicking in. you're going have to definitely crank up the ac and find real good way to stay cool because we've got plenty of heat headed your way and it's going to be very hot once we get into the week as well. let's have a look at tomorrow's highs. we're talking a 90 degrees as far as tomorrow is concerned in the city and it's going to be fairly dry day but it's going to be a hot one. the warming trend begins tomorrow and the wait until you see what happens on the seven-day forecast t really heating it up. i'm going to have all those details a little bit later. back to you. >> all right, thanks gwen. who says there's

out to the east and that's really is continues to open the door for that southerly flow to kick in and we are going to be continue to see those temperatures rise and it's going to feel like august in the month of june. how about that? that pretty much puts it into perspective with you;, for you i should say. overnight tonight as i said pretty comfortable. 65 degrees in the city. elsewhere those temperatures into the low 60's, mid to high 60's to the south of us but pretty comfortable out there. we had a bit of a breeze today but those winds will be light for tonight and the humidity wasn't so bad, either. that will change, though, by the time we get to sunday. for tomorrow we'll be into the low 90's, ridge of high pressure. now, there is a trough to the north of us that we're going to really keep a little bit of an eye on and by saturday little bit of energy with a short wave and what's going to happen is we're going to see some of those clouds rolling in a little bit more tonight as a result of it but tomorrow with the instability, i can't rule out maybe an isolated passing shower or maybe even a rumble of thunder. just to the north

temperatures staying in the 90's well into the first part of next week. so, get prepared for an ac bill and as well once again, the challenge as i always say is to stay cool. we didn't do too bad right on the money 84 degrees at reagan national, 80 at dulles and 80 at bwi thurgood marshall. it was a bit breezy. we had lots of sunshine. it was comfortable with low humidity. that will change by sunday. ridge of high pressure is in control and the as a result of that, we are not seeing much happening in our sky conditions. we do have a trough to the north of us, so that will bring in a few clouds in the overnight hours but not that much that will make much of a difference with plenty of sunshine by tomorrow t and as we take a look at our forecast for tonight, we're talking 65 degrees. it will be a warm night. winds from the southwest at five to 10 miles an hour. so, pretty comfortable for sleeping. not all bad. actually i remember when 65 was a
