sexual assault. arlington county police says the suspect was found reentering a condo on key boulevard where he sexually assaulted a \am\many would. he was later tap quap toured on the surveillance video in the vairgt . they need your help in catching these people in an armed rob rivment police say two suspects threatened someone with a gun and demanded their property. after the victim turned over their belongings, the suspects ran off. also in the district police look for a vehicle of interest. people think someone fired shots from this car back on june 9. this was in the 3400 block of hartford southeast. the gunmen injured two people. both suffered non life threatening injuries. a group of d.c. men were praying on clerks and customer at area convenience stores for about a month. they robbed tefn different 7/elevens across ten counties until police caught them. matt ackland with security camera

police say caught in the act. >>reporter: i've talked to one of the clerks that was on duty when they were hit at this hyattsville seven slefn and she says she's glad to be okay. this happened here and at nine other locations win about four weeks. authorities so upset that these guys kept getting away with this. they set up a sting. they were only hitting 7/elevens so they went to most of the 7/elevens where they thought they were going to get hivment well, not long before or not long after one was hit, police were right there. they pulled over a car. inside the car, four suspects, two loaded guns inside. they all happened late at night or early in the morning. most of us were sleeping, but the cameras were working. police showed us how they hopped cameras even when customers were standing there to pay. this store clerk was mopping the floor when the group pushed him behind the counter. police say the targets

even for them. fox's daniel miller joins us live from sky harbor airport where 43 flights have already been canceled over the heat. daniel, good afternoon to you and first off how hot it is it right now and what is the latest status at sky harbor. >>reporter: we actually just officially reached 119-degrees here at phoenix high harbor which is crazy hot out here to say the least. for the second day in a row flights have been canceled because of these extreme temperatures and yesterday american airlines cancelling flights as well as today. they're telling us today that seven of their regional planes have been delayed, about 43 flights have been canceled because of this heatwave threatening to bring that 120- degrees here to the phoenix valley. when we say regional we're talking about the smaller jets here that are operated by miss a airlines and sky west airlines under the american eagle brand and they actually cannot take off in temperatures hotter than 118-degrees

just beat. it's now 119-degrees so these planes here are not going to be taking off any time soon. what they're telling us that it actually takes more speed for planes to take off and the runway here might not be long enough to allow the planes here to achieve the needed speeds. larger planes only need 126-degrees is their max of when they're no longer able to be take off we're hoping that we never reach that. they're say ing that they're not expecting to cancel flights tomorrow because we're only supposed to reach about 16- degrees, but obviously it races those extra two degrees they might be rearranging their plans out here tomorrow. cooling off at 116 tomorrow. i want to know, we all think and know that phoenix is very hot, especially in the summer. but how unusual is it for you guys to be seeing temperatures in the high teens to 120 and how often does this impact

harbor? is this unusual? >> i haven't seen it in the summer affecting flights like that. i think this is maybe the first time i've seen it in the higher teens main right around 113. senate healthcare it was so it was pretty typical during the june, july, ultra august, but 120 is definitely not the usual out here. i believe there is only three other days where we've hit anything 120-degrees or higher. we're here making a lot of effort with this 119- degrees. 118-degrees is what these flights cannot take off on. obviously they're go going to be on the ground for quite some more time here. we deal with the high humidity on the east coast and that always makes it feel on the hot temperature. but what does it feel in a quote, unquote dry heat of 119-degrees? >> it's more like a blow dryer. right now we have a little light breeze

through a fast food line. if you're lucky enough to be waiting in line in scots ^berg you got a nice surprise. one person who regularly visits the golden arches got the ball rolling. she saw the dad in the van behind her and he had four kids in the car, a bunch of happy meals and a big mack meal and some other stuff. she was like i'm going to pay are to the father behind me and i want you to tell him happy father's day. it didn't end there. the dad who got the free meal three cars paying it forward soon became ten ten became dozens. this went on for several hours until the mcdonald's closed. thank goodness it was until it closed 167 cars were involved in this act of paying it forward. >> that's impressive. that's a great father's day story. love it. another fast food restaurant widening its menu now to help people with food restrictions, chik-fil-a is offering a new you gluten free bun. it i

kristin leone is live in reston with reaction on the crime. >>reporter: good evening, shawn and tony, that's right, we just learned that in about 30 minutes the family will be here at their apartment complex holding a press conference in light of all of the new information that has been shed today. again, just to go over that for you, police right now are investigating two assaults in the death of nabra hassan in one of them they believe may be possibly sexual in nature. just to reiterate, two assaults one happening in fairfax county, the other in loudon county and one of those possibly being a sexual assault yesterday we also spoke with the father here and this was all before he found out that this crime was being looked at by detectives as a road rage incident. we're going to hear from him today, the muslim community again still reelg and just trying to process what is going on in this case as far as all of the information that's being revealed today. s
