this is fox5 local news at ten. right now at ten, new details about the maryland teachers' aid accused of sexually assaulting multiple boys. what investigat ors found in his past that some say is frightening. i just heard like a big boom and then i heard somebody just scream like bloody murder. a local teen recovering after a fireworks explosion landed him in the

it's going to be wet and muggy. in fact, you plight just want to keep your umbrella a close. the full forecast is next at ten. we gin tonight with new details about the charles county teachers assistant accused of molesting multiple middle school boyses. i'm shawn yancy and i'm jl. sexually assault charges, the 30 year old is hiv positive tonight we have learned that he has a history of working around young children. fox5's marina maracco joins us with the de tails. >>reporter: carlos deangelo bell has kept close contact with minors in charles county for years because of his past jobs. the county earlier said this week that bell worked as a track coach at large audience plate oh high school and now we're start ing to get a clearer picture. bell served for the track and field church coaching 15, 16, 17 and 18 year olds. the president of the track team said this

the comments of charles county have been in constant with the investigation they need to conduct their investigation. we send our deepest prayers to the families affected by these circumstances. bell has worked for charles county for years serving as a facility attendant with the department of community services in 2008 and in 2015 working for a government contractor that provided before and after school care for kids at jp ryan elementary and william b wade elementary school . bellies accused of assaulting boys that aend ted the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. the sheriff's office bell took advantage of his victims instead side stoddard middle school during school hours and also assaulted children inside his home on joanna court. assaults that were videotaped according to the sheriff office. and the charles county sheriff's office believes that b

those children at those places that we mentionedded earlier. now, also we have learned that charles deangelo bell apparently was being investigated back in december after a suspicious text message was reported to authorities by a child's parent but bell was only arrested last week. now tonight maryland state police, the agency that was tasked with providing computer frens rick lab services for this investigation responded to those allegations and said to fox5 in a statement in part that reads, quote, we have four forensic analysis cyst analysts rather who must view tens of thousands of digital files often when analyzing only one piece of electronic equipment. these texts must review the digital files piece by piece. they have no way of knowing where the important or most serious files may be. significant time may be needed. >> thank you, marina. fireworks are illegal in maryland. but that doesn't stoch

about two dozen protestors were outside police headquarters to mark the death of all the ton sterling. the clash started after the protestors were asked to leave because they didn't have a permit. there were several arrests, at least one police officer was injured. in the meantime new york flags on allstate buildings will be flown half staff to honor the nypd officer who was killed on duty. she was sitting in her car when they walked up and fired through the window. it is being called a clear assassination. they caught up with bonds about a block away and killed him as he pulled out a stolen imun. based on what we know right now, it is clear this was an unprovoked attack on police officers who are assigned to especially keep the people of this great city safe. she was on duty serving this city

ing what she believed in in do ing the job she loved. officer pennsylvania mill yeah had been on the force for two years. she had been assigned to a bronx precinct. she leaves behind three child rerntion including a set of twins. there is no indication that the gunman knew the officer. the city of chicago experienced the most violent fourth of july weekend in years. over the last five days more than 100 people were the shot, 15 we are killed. more than half happened during the last 12 hours of the holiday . our region had its share ofville evens. the first homicide happened in the district. someone shot a man to death along gallon va ston street in southwest. a man broke into the 4200 block of sixth street and shot a person. in maryland, prince george's county are investigating a homicide in the 2500 block of darryl drive in suitland. the victim was also shot to death. police are not sure if any

these shootings are connected. a string ever paint wars in the district under investigation. it's no laughing matter. dozens of people shooting at each other with paintball guns on the streets of southeast d.c. it's illegal and dangerous. these incidents are happening in areas near benning terrace. it's a family friendly community. still, though, carrying an air rival or anything similar in public in d.c. is against the law. a recent supreme court ruling is a small victory for school choice advocates who support using public funds to help religious schools. but the ruling is narrow and doesn't go all the way. >>reporter: the ground underneath a jungle gym in colombia, missouri is giving school choice

. advocates like darryl allison are cheering the supreme court's decision to allow trinity lutheran church to receive public money to rubberize the service of its playground. school choice supporters believe the decision undermine a decades old state law known as the blame amendment that is often used to prevent use scholarship money to send their children to a religious school. missouri is one of 38 states with a blame at moment in the state cons stu advertising. since 2015 at least three states have faced physical challenges. blame amendments are a barrier to a better education. when we have national crisis or international crisis whether it be a monsoon, hurricane, tornado watch made oh we have not only state government, national government, but we have many
