morning long. rain has been falling for hours. live look at the white house right now. raindrops on the lense, on the roof. everybody getting something, and including unfortunately some roads that are getting heavy flooding that brought the morning rush to crawl in some places. also big tree down between park road and blagden alley that thought sun beach drive this morning for more on the rain now and when it may stop if ever, tucker is back with a first check of the forecast. tuck? >> feels that way. feels like it will go on for forever. got report out of southern maryland two and a half inches in the past 90 minutes that's a lot of rain in short period of time and radar estimates down in same sane mary's county 4-inches of rain in the last couple of hours. so heavy rain set to continue here for much of the day today. flash flood warnings and watches issued. you havely we'll have to endure a rainy thursday before we get some improve many around here tomorrow noon the weekend. all right. there's flash flood watch in green. much of the area under that flash flood watch through 7:00 o'clock includes the city. then let's focus off to our south and east where thehe the past couple of hours. southern maryland including charles

county and calvert county including the city of prince frederick there under a flash flood warning and again we're getting reports of flooded roadways in southern maryland here in the past half hour or so as the rain totals again exceeded two, 3-inches in short period of time down there. all right. let's look at radar. first give you temps. 75 in washington. highs about 80 today. cooler than average with rain showers and clouds expected to continue. and there's your rain shower activity actually look at a little less intense than it was an hour ago. however still raining, still persistent out there and still set to continue for much of the day today. as the stationary front and we call it stationary it's not moving is later laid up right across the region notice the darker orange and reds off to our south and eve. that's where the heaviest of the rain is in southern maryland where it's been for the past hour or so. there's your stationary front, and not going to budge today. unfortunately, we're going to see rain showers propagating up and along it just to the north and east of us during the late morning, errly afternoon

morning, president donald trump's trip to pole land. the president arrived in the european nation overnight where he held meetings with several world leaders. this is all in advance of the g20 summit in germany and we will have more on what to expect there a little later. first, though, the president wrapping up a major international speech in pole land just about 90 minutes ago. he spoke about the close ties in history between the united states and their country. >> for americans, poland has been a symbol of hope since the beginning of our nation. polish heroes and american patriots fought side by side in our war of up pennsylvania and in many wars that followed. our soldiers still serve together today in afghanistan and iraq. combating the enemies of all civilizations. >> before that speech, the president and first lady melania

>> police say the victims were found in a parking lot of an apartment complex in district heights. our annie yu has been on the story all morning lon and she joins us now with the lat test. annie? >> reporter: hey, good morning to you, allison. good morning, everybody. yeah, you know, police spent about six hours or so investigating the scene behind me. this is the parking lot where the two bodies were found. two young men we're told in their 20s were found lying on the ground here when police arrived shortly after 1:00 o'clock. we're told residents are the ones that called 911 after hearing multiple gunshots in the area. really sad situation. we still don't know why these young men were shot. who shot them. police tell thus they are still looking for the suspects at this hour, and you know, police chief elliot gibson he released information pretty early in this case and he said, you know, they're still looking for the suspects. they really need the public's epp help. they're give out 188-411-tips that's the number to

y2cpsy yi0y ♪ welcome back to good day. nine confidential 15 is the time right now. fox5 has uncovered more disturbing details about former charles county teacher's aid accused of sexually assaulting several male students. we've learned carlos deangelo bell maintained close contact with minors in charles county for years. because of his past jobs. the charles county sheriffs office believes bell took advantage of his victims inside stoddard middle school in waldorf during school hours and also assaulted children inside his home on joanna court. assaults that were video taped according to the sheriff's office. right now, police are looking through bell's personal electronics. maryland state police say we have four forensic analysts had must view tens of thousands of digital files often when ana analyzing only one piece of electronic equipment these text must

but fox news reporting that he actually has an infection as was expected at some point during his recovery. we're told there will be an update later today from here at washington hospital center. of course, the republican congressman from louisiana was shot and wounded three weeks ago now. he was practicing for that congressional baseball game. he was shot in the hip. and the bullet causing extensive internal injuries. the congressman is undergone several operations and was actually moved out of the intensive care unit back on junl officials said he would be under going an extended period of healing and rehabilitation. unfortunately now there is this set back. steve scalise back in intensive care and again guys, we'll get further word on what all this is about but, again, something they expected that there would be bumps in the road to his recovery and if he can the house majority whip here in washington hospital center. >> thoughts and prayers continue to be with him. bob, thank you soar th

temperatures down i guess that's the bright spot otherwise gloomy forecast there's the rain shower activity. notice it's not moving a whole lot it is starting to break up a little bit which is great news because it's been quite intense in places. seen rain totals two plus inches in many spots and in a few spots now four plus inches inn clueing in parts of southern maryland where we have that flash flood warning. so unfortunately the rain set to continue across the same area. same general area for much of the day today. as our stationary front call it stationary because it's not moving is just stuck across the region and the rain showers are kicking up just to the north of it to the north and east of it you can see it there. and unfortunately, after we get daytime heating we're likely see additional showers redevelop right in the same area and the potential for thunderstorm. under a flash flood watch through 7:00 o'clock tonight. what's going to finally get this front out of here? cold front which will start to press into the region later tonight and tomorrow will press this whole thing out of here we got to get through today. parts of the evening hours and then i think by tomorrow things should turn brighter. particul
