trailing. frederick country asked howard county to stop that vehicle and that is when this all turned to something very much larger than a burglary investigation. and officers say that their lives were in danger and that is when this took deadly tu turns. at that time the suspect vehicle rammed a howard country police vehicle and then shortly after that that same vehicle drove towards three howard country officers that had exited vehicles and two officers fired striking one of the suspect and killing them. >> the other individual in the vap was unharmed. >> we're told that other individual a woman is under arrest and undergoing questioning. we do not have word on charges in the case. a basic question quickly spruping up out of all this what were howard county officers doing in frederick county. well, law enforcement officers

enforcement officials in friday rick county saying their understanding the officers involved in the shooting will be placed on standard administrative leave until the investigation is completed. we know this about the investigation at this point. we already have been told there will be no video in this case. there were no body cameras being worn by officers and we were told there was no video camera in the police cruiser officers tell us from the howard country police department in a statement this afternoon they're fully cooperating with the investigation. we're live in frederick county tonight, tom fitzgerald, "fox5 local news". today the man accused of killing his stepfather and posting a selfie next to the body on twitter appeared in court for" r a bond hearing. >> and we heard about his criminal past including previous murder charge. kristin leon live in prince george county courthouse with what was revealed during the hearing today. kristin, what's the latest. >> reporter:

afternoon navar beverly will be held out bond and not relooseed to the public at this time. and the judge agreed. he said beverly present himself as a clear and present sdaivrpinger and for that reason alone, he will remain behind bars. now, once the family heard of this news in court today, right away they left nothing off the table. and essentially had a lot to say about this emotional response from them. here's what they had to say. >> he had you should have been locked up. j some powerful words there you heard after an emotional weekend for the family of ronald pinckney. that was his sister we spoke to there. saturday morning detectives found his body inside his home on dalby court. the suspect, his stepson. 39-year-old navar beverly was chased down by police. before arrest wed learned according to charming document

the house and i quote "i told you i would do it" but what's more incriminating detectives discovered was on social media a selfie taken of beverly and pinkney posted on twitter after he allegedly killed him. now that startling piece of evidence is in the happened of the state's attorney's office. >> certainly it makes this case even more shocking and even more sad as i said, because you have someone who did this and then attempted apparently proudly to share it with the entire world. and that does not change the way we prosecute the case. that was simply part of the evidence that would be presented as we continue to go forward. >> now, today we learned a little more about beverly's criminal history. in 2006 he was charged and convicted with second degree murder. as far as why he was released to the public or since walking the streets that question was presented to the state's attorney's office

now we're taking a closer look into that. >> as we look deeper into his record and look at the second degree murder cop vision that we talked about today and some of the earlier things that happened in the earlier 20000s and mid to late 90s those things happened in prince george's some of the the cases he had and context but because they predate our office by several years it's all part of the ongoing investigation. >> reporter: now we also learned there was assault charge filed against beverly by the victim in this case back in february. and we're told that beverly has a 3-year-old child. but the mother had also filed a protective order against h him. now as far as the case goes the family we spoke to, they didn't want to all come out on camera. they believe beverly should have been locked up a long time ago government we mentioned this before. i number of calls to police have been made to that household on

take a look that yourself. that is the van which was involved in this deadly incident. one man dead. another woman in that van now under arrests and in custody. frederick county sheriff officers tell us they got a call around noon today from the repeat offender's unit at the howard county police department. what they said was they were trailing that van as part of a burglary investigation and police say they witnessed the occupants in that van committing a burglary not far from the very spot. frederick county said go ahead initiated a police stop and that's when this turned into something very different from burglary investigation. law enforcement officials say police officers felt their lives were in danger and that is when this turned deadly. >> at that time the suspect's vehicle rammed one of the howard country police off officer's vehicles and then shortly after that, that same vehicle drove towards three
