senators up here on the hill today. you know, even republicans are saying that this administration seems to have developed a very clear pattern here. you know, we had michael flynn say early on, no, i did not meet with the russians. and we find out michael flynn met with the russians, excuse the firetruck behind me right now. we then have the attorney general, jeff sessions, say he didn't meet with the russians. well then we found out jeff sessions met with the russians, and often, and again, last year, almost exactly this time of the year, we were told by donald trump, jr., that campaign officials had not met with any russians. said specifically russians. well, turns out now, yes, did he meet with the russians. maybe it was not the russian government official that he was initially promised in the emails, that we now saw this morning, but, you know, time and time again there is administration can't seem to get within a 24-hour window of stumbling into another one every these situations. so, the situation right now is the senate

take. i think some of the stuff that he does is a little bit off the cuff. but, you know, that is what he does. and so if i were to advise anybody, look, i've been on five presidential campaigns, my lifetime, i would advise to sit back and think about what you're saying what you're doing. at the end of the day as i said he is an adult, and, you know, there is a consequences for your action. >> absolutely. fits let me bring you back in here. heard from lawmakers both sides of the aisle talk about this, and the need to have donald trump junior come in and testify. we asked the question, you know, is he naive because he doesn't know the game of politics yet? but i think what have lawmakers been saying about the fact that, you know there is was another one of those times, when people from the trump campaign met with a russian official, and forgot about it, or it slipped their mind, and they didn't mention it? i mean, that can't just go under the door or slide that under the rug of being naive. >> we didn't know.

>> well, you know, sure, look at the two choices you just left yourself with. on the one hand this was some dubious underhanded effort to reach out to russian officials with nobody knowing, and the other choice you have is that you have a wildly naive effort here to meet with somebody you don't know, somebody named natalia vesselnitchkia to get her in the room, apparently has nothing to say, and the whole thing breaks one no resolution to. >> this ill rewinds one thing we talked about just moment ago, though, senator tim kaine, those comment, using the words treason, aid conversation with his offers today. and they very quickly wanted to get out ahead on what he actually went he was talking, they feel that word a was exert from the his comment today. twitter made one of their twitter notifications today, put that word right there smack dab in the middle of those things that you slide through, and you look at everybody's comment.

was formed, directly, to try to provide some cover to president trump who made the outrageously false allegation that the only reason hillary clinton got 3 million more votes than he did is because of fraudulent voting which is patently untrue. the problem in america is not enough people voting. not too many voting. >> okay, well, hains, a member of the president's committee, looking into election integrity, what they are calling themselves. i spoke with him really to react to this. and the bigger issue in question, that so many critics have brought up, this idea of accessing this voter data, well, he pointed to something that the supporters of this have all really pointed to, in the letter, that requests this information, every state it, says, explicitly, they only want to see it if the information is already public lick available. listen to what he had to

>> it is important to understand that among the many things the commission asks for was publicly available voter registration information. the states and places like virginina, where says we will not cooperate. i don't really understanded that, because if you go to the website of the virginia board every elections, you will see that they sell all of this data to the public, to candidate, to political parties. so they're basically saying that information that we make publicly available, somehow not going to give it to the commission. >> what he's saying is true to an extent. there isn't a data base that you can just search through as the lay person on the virginia boards of elections website. but you can access plenty of voter data if you meet certain criteria. data like your name, birthdate, voter history, the sensitive information that there is backlash over. so, what makes you meet

criteria if you will. well, you could be running for officer, you could be part of a pack. you can even be a member of the public, who just wants to support and promote voter participation. so, with all of that, i really followed up with conally and said, you know, what's the problem, if that's currently the case in virginia. take a listen. >> what's the problem if it is already publicly available? no problem, apply to the secretary of state, pay for it like any other citizens in a four year request. >> went on to say he also had a a problem in the way in which the remember information was requested this information is highly sensitive, and there is potential worry for hacking. now, if we take a step back, just yesterday, the committee, the president's committee, actually told a federal court that states do not have to reply to their
