we're going to warns our viewers to be careful if they're traveling anywhere. here's a look at one of the warning, severe weather until 5:0015, city of alexandria, arlington the district and prince george's county and within these storms winds gusting to about 60 miles an hour, a lot of heavy rain fall with this and also a lot of lightening imbedded in these storms. we also have a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:45 for anne arundel, calvert and prince george. you can see that this is a pretty strong line of storms coming through here. a lot of pounding on roads as well, and a lot of lightening imbedded in this, take a look. we're going to track some of his for you and let you know just what is next and who is going to be in the line of fire. so cap springs you have to be on the watch-out. upper marlboro as well as shady side and what's the other one there? sell bee, just off b

these storms are heading in your direction, and as i said, a lot of lightening and then the strong gusty winds. since we've had downed trees in some areas, we can't rule out downed power lines, before the night is over with these as they can't to plow their way through because these storms are extremely strong. as we take a wide look out. you can see just how far reaching this system is. continues to impact areas well to the west of us as well. we've also just had a severe thunderstorm warning issued now for arlington. that warning is also in effect right now. and so these are just going to continue to pop up as the system continues to move its way to the east. and i wouldn't surprised if we continue tonight to see those warnings stretching all the way across the bay. entire area is under a severe thunderstorm watch in effect through until 9:00 tonight. and once again, with the passage of this frontal system, which will take into areas of tonight into tomorrow, we'll seehe

control. the aids were indicted this week. tisha lewis is live with the name of stacy plaskett heard of wrong reasons, one former e - staffer facing up to five years in prison for cyber stalking. he's the one who apparently leaked the photos. the staffer who lied about it facing up to 20 years for obstruction of justice and we're talking about nearly a dozen nude pictures and also there's video involved that was passed around to politicians, members of the media, even opponents, all of this after the staffer reportedly volunteered to fix his boss' iphone. >> in when you have her latest posts, congress woman stacy plaskett said her policy was invaded followed by an smear campaign and defamatory reports about her and her family. this comes after former staffer was indicted

he reportedly took private nude images and video from her cell phone, mccul alum's dubious activities apparently took place in march, 2016 >> i don't think you should have naked pictures on your phone to begin with. and if you do, i don't think people should leak it. if you don't the naked pictures you wouldn't have leaked it. i don't think you should have nude pictures on her phone either way, if she didn't have that she wouldn't be caught >> court documents say she gave the aid her phone with instructions to take it to an apple store and have it fixed. instead, created a fake e-mail downloaded images and forwarded them to politicians and media >> it's absolutely not ok. they were trusted with information, they abused that trust. then took that information that they had that was damaging. why it's damaging is a whole different story. they

he did not deserve to be executed the way he was. he took four gunshots to his chest. you know, it's my prayer that anybody who has any information the slightest information to call crime solvers. >> reporter: terry sally came back to the complex where her son i was killed in hopes of learning something new, she put up flyers and questioned residents as they came and left. sally said she knows her son was at a craps game in northeast until about 2:00 in the morning before coming to this complex. she said he parked his scooter and was found shot to death around 5:00 a.m. last saturday morning. to should people said they heard the shots but did in the call the police. anthony russell may have been shot a couple of hours before his body was found. prince george's county police chief hank said the violence in the county evened o

>> reporter: dinardo reportedly told investigators a co conspirator was involved and that the men were killed after drug deals. the da has not confirmed this information. in solesbury township, pennsylvania, rick leventhal, fox news. that's a sinkhole swallowing not one but two homes in land lakes florida about 30 minutes north of tampa, started about the size of a swimming pool. grew to about 200 feet wide and several people had to be evacuated because they don't believe the damage isn't fully over yet and the hole could continue to grow. >> the hole is still growing. as you can see the houses are still falling, we're worried about how many more houses it will take, right now, it's taken two complete houses, it's moving to the southeast there going towards that next house, it's a typical florida neighborhood. houses are close together, we're afraid we're going to lowe's at least one more home >> the

>> her son became violently ill foam to go the mouth, what she didn't know is there were good people nearby. >> matt ackland had a chance to speak with her and share that story. matt. >> reporter: she had really good people. here's a picture of xavier in the hospital, on wednesday, his mother was overwhelmed by the help she got when her son got so sick. the family inside their car, there's two adults and four young kids. they were in their car, they were approaching 295 when something went very wrong. >> he went in the ambulance. >> reporter: 3-year-old xavier is a happy boy now. feeling much better. but that surely wasn't the case wednesday around noon as his family was heading back to iowa. they were just getting on 295 at pennsylvania avenue >> i heard xavier making a gargling or choking sound, i thought he was playing

actually foaming at the mouth, lips were blue. and he wasn't responding to anything i was saying. >> reporter: xavier's mother hit the brakes, stopping traffic behind her. she pulled xavier out of the car to see what she could do. that's when she saw a couple approaching. >> i don't know if for sure the couple spoke english but they knew enough to understand that there was panic and helped us, they brought ice water. >> reporter: jessica was panicking on the home with 911 when more help arrived >> he wasn't in a marked car so i don't think he was on duty but he got out and asked us a bunch of questions, kept checking his breathing, made sure that we were already calling an ambulance. >> reporter: an off-duty firefighter rushed into help. instead of waiting for an ambulance, he calls co workers he knows are nearby >> he calls the paramedics he works with and asked them to come up.

>> reporter: xavier was rushed to children's medical center. jessica says appears he had some kind of seizure, temperature spiking to 104 degrees. he's ok now. but jessica wanted people to know it's because so many people rushed in to help. >> i really just wanted to thank all those people, because we're not from there. i was panicking. i didn't know what was going to happen next, where we were going to go. you know, they just made sure that i knew that they kept saying, you know, we're going to take care of your son. >> we were skyping, two, three minutes, she finally had to put him down. how great is that? she said she got in touch with us because she says you hear so much about the bad news and people are helping. she said i just wanted these people. it was a couple. two people, just random people got out of their car, an off-duty

wanted to take a little to tour, annapolis is not severe. maybe approaching 40 or 50 miles per hour. where the storm is severe, down here through prince george and over towards anne arundel and northwestern sections. calvert. we put the track on so you can track the most intense part of this, in this severe thunderstorm there will be wind gusts over 60 miles per hour and where these thunderstorms have been severe, is where we've been tracking the damage. a lot of trees have been left down behind these thunderstorms unfortunately. i think there's going to be power outages too. so dunkirk, tracy's landing deal and off towards the shore is headed towards the bay. eventually it will jump over on to the eastern shore, mountain vernon things cleared up. but pretty good thunderstorms coming across national. none of this is severe. we'll continue down the line here. this is moving through prince william's county and up towards fairfax, lor ton is dry now, dale see is dry but won't

long before the complex comes over notify and that is really going to shutdown the commute probably both directions with the hardest part of this rain coming through. and we'll take it even farther to the southwest, another strong cell coming there into northern sections of faulk county. heavy rain in fredericksberg, gusty wind and lightening, this is not severe. there's another storm back to the west of fredericksberg coming through heart ward now and down through spotsylvania and into stafford county and this will bring more heavy rain. i think this potentially could go severe. i'll keep a very close eye on that. you see the whole line now, it is marching off to the east, line is kind of moving to the southeast. but we still have a couple more hours to get this clear of the area and now seeing a little bit more activity firing up to the north of us. we're under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9:00. let me just show this quick. i saw a new warning, let's cover that, if

. in the fox 5 exclusive, a dc police sergeant is facing disturbing allegations of police misconduct. that officer is responsible for police recruitment but according to an internal investigation, he was recruiting for more than just the department. they've been investigating the sergeant and in april, investigators recommended he be terminated but sources say he remains working at the second district without any contact with the public this police powers have been revoked. >> marina marraco has the exclusive details. >> reporter: it all started with lies, at least that's how investigators first described their interactions with sarge jonathan clinicer fan ax 17 years. a salary of more than $90,000, tasked with

and outreach of mpd prospects as young as 17. according to this investigative report finalize by internal affairs, he was doing far more than just recruiting for the department. he was also recruiting and encouraging cadets and recruits to participate in sex parties. an anonymous letter sent to internal affairs in december of 2016 prompted investigators to zero in on the alleged solicit activities happening had at the police academy. these documents with the sergeant on several unknown dates and by his own admission while on duty engaged that sexual relationships at the metropolitan police academy. investigators seized recruit department's cell phone after allegations that the 39-year-old was running an invite only sex party website. forensic analy

cell phone had been used to store, schedule, range and distribute information for these sex parties, some pornographic images are both the sergeant and others are so graphic that the investigator report was manually redacted to prevent further dissimination of explicit photographs. amongst the most damning, sarge clinicer man's admission that on multiple occasions he had sex with an npd cadet while on duty at the police academy. we reach out to dc police for a response. this is a statement we had along wisdom martin. the metropolitan police department's internal affairs division investigated disturbing allegations of improper conduct involving a member formally detailed at the police academy. durng the investigation, the member was placed in a noncontact status. the investigation into the allegations has been submitted to the disciplinary review division, there was no indication of criminal conduct the disciplinarymmendation of -

of an isolated cell down towards st. mary's county. strong thunderstorm in fredericksberg wind gusts 40 to 45. you see the lightening there and the core of the storm. these storms do have the possibility of putting down a little bit of hail as well and some of it could be large, maybe up to a large mar well size hail coming across. active lightening through fredericksberg, this continues to move to the east. through the district. as a matter of fact, we were looking from the oxon hill camera down into this right here. last hour, reporting a very heavy thunderstorm at national airport. it's lightened up a bit but this is still moderate rain and still deafning enough to cause problems around the beltway. back up to northern sections of carol county. this is westminster. the core of the storm is just to the south of westminster. it is working off to the east. this one could become severe. we'll keep an eye

frederick too, a little storm between frederick and walkersville moving up highway 15. this is a smaller storm but still the core of it had very heavy rain, and a little bit of lightening too. this is one of those days where we're tracking where the most intense lightening is, because where the most intense lightening is, is generally speaking where most intense core of the storm is, all of this is moving to the east, the line trying to move to the southeast as well. all of this well ahead of the frontal system. we have a couple more hours and clear of the area and we'll watch more potential for a few storms to the north and west. they have adjusted the severe thunderstorm watch. >> here's the front, the weekend changer. this comes in tonight and as it sweeps through, it will cool temperatures down a little bit, bring the humidity levels down, in terms of where the thunderstorm watches, they've taken all of the western edge of this off. so dc is not included in the watch anyme.

. let's talk about the cat, a little kitten thanks to the quick work of a fairfax county fire tech. she was off duty when spot todd can it he knows. one was seriously injured after being struck by several vehicles. took the kittens home and reached out for help. one thing led tonother and eventually the prince william brought the kitten back to health. suffering from a serious head injury but the little cat now expected to make a full recovery. and that is a happy ending we need on this friday. that is the news at 5:00.
