leighton'sville. here's the big picture. other storms are around me ballinger creek that's a good storm in frederick county. problem in montgomery county has been going on an hour and a half now. and we're continuing to see more storms develop over the same region. at the moment, weaker, what looks like a green rope coming out of the montgomery storm and moving south west. that's what's called an outflow boundy. that makes more storms fovrment we have to watch loudoun and fairfax to see if we get anything else. this storm looking weaker now than it did just 30 minute a ago. still raining so hard in gaithersburg that the storm only slowly moving northeast at a few miles an hour. this green area here bordered by montgomery to late o onesville to brookville that is the flash flood warning until 7:15 and we're getting reports of flooding around the leightonsville area. you're getting reports

and we got hail large hail in many areas and now problem is heavy water. go shen branch reporting flood at 4:45 montgomery village an as we check the radar estimating how much rain as folen look at the bulls eye around laytonsville and that's with one storm. that's enough to promote that flash flooding. darnstown an area to be watched closely, 1.3" of rain there and it's all about the heat and humidity. still 90 degrees. compare to rain receive soaked gaithersburg at 71. rain storms do a good job cooling us off and throw moisture into the atmosphere. anything we see between now and 8:00 when it winds down is capable of dropping heavy reigns. heads up. we'll update you again in a few minutes. sarah, jim. >> well streets on southeast side of capitol were closed after a man drove his car to barrier and

near the library of congress. >> bomb squad had to be called in after video of crash appeared to be intentional. paul wagner live on the scene with more. paul. >> let me tell you a little more about the intentional part. they rj chad that is capitol police investigators charged this man with felony assault on a police officer as well as reckless driving. i'm told the reason they did that is because they took a look at this camera and right up above from where this incident took place this morning here at second and pennsylvania avenue southeast and they indicated from that camera that it appeared this man never hit the brakes. that it appeared to be intentional. but there's no investigating to be done. let's show you video that we shot from earlier today. now, after this man crashed his vehicle into the barrier, it then forced the barrier into the front of the police cruiser. and the officer was actually inside the police

did suffer some minor injuries. he was not standing outside. also the man driving the vehicles suffered minor injuries. he was taken to a hospital. now there was a question as to whether or not this car may have contained some kind of something that got the officers concerned. so they brought in a k-9. my understanding the k-9 did not alert on the vehicle however they brought in the bomb squad and they disrupted trunk of that vehicle a couple times. they found nothing suspicious inside. u.s. capitol police are saying that there's no nexus to terrorism at this point and the real question is now whether or not this was intentional and based on what they saw. and that video. and we spoke with a woman r runing a hot dog stand across the street. she witnessed this incidents. here's what she had to say today. >> i was on the phone. and i just heard bang.

it was loud. turn around and i saw the back car pushing the -- almost like pushing the barrier towards the police c car. >> u.s. capitol police have not released the man's name who was driving that car. they say he did not have a valid permit. as you know, since after 9/11 u.s. capitol police were st standing guard every corner of capitol and have been doing this 24 hours a day since. they are standing out here and vulnerable and this officer today was inside his car when he was hit. live on capitol hill, paul wagner, "fox5 local news". >> "fox5" with new surveillance of three suspects wanted in connection with a double homicide in suitland. you can see the three suspects getting out of a car and walking with a few

cam with the victims. after shooting one of the suspects is seen running back to the car. this happened last sunday silver hill road. when officers got there they found courtney sims and anthony douglass shot to de death. >> three high school students are facing charges after police say they broke into a vacant rental home and had a party. the homeowner also claims the teens trashed his house leaving broken windows, doors, torn offer the windows and holes in the walls. the teens are students at walt whitman high school. "fox5" anjali hemphill has more on this story. >> reporter: we're off long wood drive in up scale neighborhood in bethesda. you can see the home we're talking about here behind me with the windows boarded up that was after this house juan broken into and vandalized by teenagers not once but twice. the first time was at the very beginning of july when investigators say this unoccupied rental home was broken into by at least one teenager that

and then vandalized the house. the second time happened just a few days later. the homeowner here told neighbors and principal of walt whitman there was drug use and under age drinking and teenagers left several broken windows tore doors off hinges and kicked holes in walls. police would not elaborate more they say this case especially initial break in is under investigation. right now two boys and one girl are facing charges of burglary, trespassing and destruction of property under $1,000 for the second break in. >> later that week about july 5 there was another call at 8 . and this time police responded and caught three youths that had just left the residence. and the you've nile female and two juvenile males were very forthcoming with officers, explained how they entered the

to parents. if your house is empty, because you don't have anybody living there. or you're on vacation, it helps to alert neighbors of that situation, give them your phone number. also ask thermometer to them to contact police if anyone comes on the property and is acting suspiciously. >> principal of walt whitman high school sent a letter tomorrow to the parents of a liter he received from the vandalized house. it's come to our attention that a whitman student 'tis the party to a number of friends and videos and photos were september around on social media. your child may have seen them or have knowledge ever the party. if you are a whitman parent we would greatly appreciate any help in your child heard anything about the party or even better videos, pictures, or names of people involved. we are devastated that the house was trashed. and would deeply appreciate your support. now, "fox5" did reach
