will quo lengthily you get the idea. doing the say thing over and over again. plenty of steamy heat and humidity and daytime highs as mentioned in the mid 90s with heat index near 100. maybe isolated storm later today. i think actually our chances for storms will be a little less numerous than yesterday. isolated storm risk later today. tomorrow 97. and then upper 90s near 100 by friday and saturday. heat wave continues into next week. coming in just a couple of minutes i'll have the seven day forecast let you know when we can look forward to some relief. guys, back to you. >> tuck, thank you. 9:03. broking news a possible road rage shooting in alexandria. fox5's bob barnard live on the scene with the latest. bob, what can you tell us? >> reporter: hey maureen we are on eisenhower avenue and the car that was involved in just down the street here. you're looking east kind of into the sun but eighths chevy suv with dc tags and you can see it's in the mill of the intersection this is roughly the 4600 block of eisenhower avenue and if you look, the passenger side window

and so police are surrounding this vehicle. the second car or truck or whatever that was involved is gone. they believe it is possibly a road rage incident. clearly a shooting. receipt next to what's called restaurant depot here on eisenhower of a southwest of old town. we've heard a couple of different reports about the person who was shot. one, that he was up and walking. another that he was seriously wounded. so we're not sure of the person who owns this car who was driving in this car whether he or she was alone or with someone, but one injured, again, seriously but other reports that this person was up and walking, and the other car involved in gone. now, alexandria police have a fairfax county police helicopter assisting, and they've got the ramps from the the beltway to eisenhower avenue here closed, and so there's a large perimeter here, but

other car involved is long gone, and at this point, we do not have a look out. and again, the early reports in just the past hour as this has happened that alexandria police saying that this is possibly a road rage incident. we see virginia state police arriving here on the scene to assist, and so this investigation really, guys, just getting underway. possible road rage incident with injuries here on eisenhower avenue in alexandria. guys? >> all right. bob, look for more details as soon as we it them. five past the hour. the other big story at 9:00 following this morning in the morning briefing first up prem's last ditch evident overhaul obama care. republicans headed to the white house. over lunch they'll discuss the way forward on health care after it became clear they did not have the votes to pass plan to replace obamacare. so will the repeal continue? senate margo are the mitch mcconnell said the senate will move ahead on a straight u

it's a plan the president endorsed it doesn't have enough republican support to pass that either. that will be the topic over lunch. >> president trump's voter commission set to meet for the first time panel of 12 was put in mace laughter president trump and claimed illegal voting cost him the popular vote against hillary clinton in the 2016 election. the commission will be led by vice-president mike pence. last month, the panel requested voting data from states but that request was met with resistance prompting lawsuits and major concern among voters. this morning president trump is push pushing back against reports he had a secret discussion with vladimir putin. >> white house confirm the two chatted a second time during the g20. now the president is defending the conversation and once again slamming the media. fox5's mel know alnwick has the latest from the white house. hey, mel. >> reporter: good morning. here's the thing. it all has to do how characterize this. the white house says this was not a meeting but it was something more of an informal chat after a large formal dinner, however, there a

prince george's. first one in laurel police are searching for a gunman who killed a 17-year-old last night. teen taken to the hospital he died a short time later. police do not believe it was random shooting but still no word on suspect. now bring you closer to d.c. district heights police investigate a shooting there that left a man in critical condition. it happen in the 1900 block of addison road. police say that incident appears to have stemmed from attempted robbery inside a house. right now, police are searching for one suspect. a gun was roughed at the scene. this morning, police in the district are searching for the suspect responsible for shooting at random people with a paintball gun. >> almost a dozen people were hit with paint balls yesterday in six different locations in southeast. two of them had to go to the hospital and in one case investigators say two people in a gold ford fusion spr sprayed s at a large group of people. >> i look out of the corner of my eye and i saw this gold colored vehicle sedan in the street, and i saw a gun.

weight of this tragedy. >> minneapolis mayor on the fatal police shooting of justine diamond. four-year-old called 911 to report a possible assault near her home. ended up getting shot by off officers. state officials now say the two cops were startled by a loud noise as damont approached their car. officer muhammed noor reportedly one who fired. mayor hodges says there are still so many unanswered questions. >> why did officer noor draw and fire his gun? what happened from the time the officers arrived on the scene to when she was pronounced dead? why don't we have if the taj from body cameras? why were they not activated? >> department's body camera policy calls for them to be turned on during a confrontation or prior to use of force. the aclu wants to know why bother having a policy if it's not going to be followed. >> you are allowing officers to direct their own movie essentially and turn the camera on whenever they feel like it, or, you know,

tickets last year. those tickets racked up a record number of fines. erin como taking over for bob barnard since he's moved on to breaking news. she has break down of those numbers. erin, you know what, i already new this was about the money. >> right. >> now there's confirmation. the numbers are even more startling than you anticipate. listen to this. we've been talking about this all morning an lot of people are shock. yesterday bob barnard was giving us a preview of big increase in d.c. speeding camera tickets and now as maureen mentioned the numbers are in and listen to this one. the number of speed camera tickets issued in d.c. in the last fiscal year and the amount of money they brought in are a record highs aaa mid atlantic crunched the numbers let's take a look at the break down. in the last fiscal year dc speed cams issue more than 994,000 tickets. that's a lot of tickets. that's increase of more than 470,000 tickets from the year before. up 91%. all of those tickets brought in a record $99.1 million in fines. this is a trend t

>> good morning are al. >> good morning steve and all of you. first up, a fast-moving wildfire burning down a california mountainside. it is threatening nearly 300 structures including a hospital and a jail. this is in mary post county california this is yesterday's video prompting mandatory evacuation. more than 25,000 acres have burned so far. officials say the steep terrain combined with strong winds have made containing the fire difficult. reports of norovirus at a chipotle restaurant here in our area making national news and the company's stocks are taking a dip. fox5 spoke with a woman whose son worked at that location it's just off route seven in sterling, virginia. she says they both ate there on friday and they both later

there are also reports of other alleged customers claiming they became ill after eating there during that same time frame. now, chipotle row lowed a statement yesterday it says in part "the reported symptoms are consistent with norovirus. norovirus does not come from our food supply, and it is safe to eat at chipotle much we plan to reopen the restaurant today "now that store did not open yesterday but, again, it said they planned to reopen later today. and a big win for afghanistan's all girl robotics team. their leaving the district with a silver medal for courageous achievement. the award recognizes teams that exhibited a can do attitude, even under difficult circumstances. you'll remember their trip to washington almost didn't happen. the six girl team and their chaperone were rejected twice for visas to enter the country for the competition. that prompted president trump to get involved and the girls finally made it through on the third day. congrats to you

trying to correct this time around the first i was not really myself. i was trying to give answers i thought were the pageant ans answers. so this time i went in being true to myself. >> yeah. which is very important i mean everyone wants to know who you are and of course these competitions i love the fact that they're get aig way more so from the whole beauty as spec of years past and showcasing the women and their talents and with that said, what's your platform, kyra. i want to hear what yours. >> my platform is heart a program stands for helping everyone achieve relationship together a buddy program that you can put in schools. that bonds older and younger children so the younger children feel like they have a friend and someone to look after them. so my goal if i'm blessed enough to be miss teen usa put the heart program in one school in each state across our country. >> i love that. taylor what's your platform. >> from young age my parents always told me i can be any i wanted to be so i chose to be a doctor. >> good. >> as african-american female that's very hard task. and a lot of young girls don't have the support that i did. so i want to be that

before his arrest he had a run in with cops at a wal*mart tire center about 30 miles away from where he was arrested. but we also found out we got the 911 call that was placed as he was swerving on the road according to the 911 caller and it also points out a whole aaron's story. aaron said he felt the police couldn't arrest him they didn't have any right to arrest because they never saw him driving behind the wheel. well 911 caller you can hear it plain as day on the call says, you know, they were driving behind aaron. he is swerving all over the road. he just stopped at a light. okay he's driving right past a police officer and then the 911 operator says, yes, we're talking to that officer and they're going to go after him. so the officers did see according to 911 caller saw aaron driving behind the wheel and that's why they followed him to the auto zone. so that argument is not going to work for him in court. it just seems like he's in a really bad
