was arrested by maryland state police. but he was arrested in frederick. it's unclear exactly how he got there. it's our understanding his vehicle was found in st. marry's county. here's what alexandria police had to say about incident earlier today. >> this morning, at 7:56 a.m. patrol officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of eisenhower and claremont avenue. we believe the shooting is a road rage incident between two vehicles. >> reporter: seconds after the shooting, a camera on a nearby business records what may have been the suspect's vehicle entering the intersection of ice hour and clare months avenues. as the vehicle speeds off, the black suv with the wounded driver turns on to eisenhower avenue before coming to a stop and crossing the road. a witness declined to go on camera said the female driver was able to get out of the

and appeared to be holding her neck. emergency radio broadcasts indicated the woman was hit in the neck and back. suspect vehicle was last seen heading towards cameron run and described as a white sprinter vans with maryland tags and the shooter as a white male in his 50's. the suspect vehicle was later found in st. mary's county. the alexandria police are saying pvery little on the record tonight. so a we understand from our sources is that alexandria police may have gotten lucky here and that someone got a tag and was able to track that vehicle to southern maryland and that vehicle was found in st. mary's county. the question now is how did this pman who's now under arrest end up in frederick? that's still unclear, we're trying to get to the bottom of that. asking maryland state police, alexandria police are not saying at this hour, again, he's charged with malicious wounding. live in

fox 5 local news. is it a case of police officers in baltimore planning drugs at a crime scene? that's what the public defender's office is saying and they say they have the video to prove it. >> body camera footage reportedly shows three officers, one hiding then finding what appears to be drugs. fox 5 tisha lewis joins us with more on this story. >> reporter: sarah and jim, the two other officers are accused of standing by and doing nothing. the assistant public defender who represented the person accused of planting the drugs, forwarded this video, the baltimore police department launched an internal investigation and released additional footage and offered this explanation. >> certainly a possibility that we're looking into to see if the officers, in fact, replaced drugs they had discovered in order to document their discovery

cameras on. >> that's one theory about what happened. here is the video in question, less than two minutes and shows officer richard pinhes ro placing a can in an area filled with garbage while two officers look on. then he activates his body camera and returns to pick up the can. ultimately pulling out a baggy of white capsules believed to contain heroin, little did he know, the body camera saved 30 seconds of video before activated. here's the bigger problem, pin hero is reportedly a witness in more than 50 active cases, the public defenders's office said the prosecutor was appalled by the video and dropped the charges in this case. it remains a mystery what will happen with the dozens of cases involving pin hero and the other two officers who are still witnesses in other active cases. officer pin arrow was apparently call to testify in another case earlier this week,

disclosure of this videotape. >> we just found out over the last day or so about this allegation. state's attorney's office contacted office of professional responsibility only the baltimore police department. the head of the specialization section said officer misconduct has been a pervasive issue at the baltimore police department, which is exacerbated by the lack of accountability. we have long supported the use of police body cameras to help identify police misconduct but such footage is meaningless if prosecutors continue to rely on these officers, especially if they do so without disclosing their bad acts. we did reach out to the baltimore fraternal order of police. which represents active and retired police officers sergeants and lieutenants, they know about the incident, however, we're told union

your brake, you got a ticket >> council member white said it's time to review the speed camera fine, are they too much? do they improve safety and where is the money raised from the fines being spent? >> what are we doing with the money? is it making the quality of life better in dc with the potholes or youth services or programs for the seniors? what are we doing with this money? >> reporter: reach out to the department of transportation and the police department today to figure out if the speed cameras actually reduced the number of accidents, pedestrian accidents and traffic accidents. well, the police department just got back to us and they referred that question to the department of transportation. the department of transportation hasn't answered that question for us. also, we should tell you that before chief lanier set the speed limit, say you -- it was a 25 zone, you would have to go 11 miles over that in order to get a ticket. apparently, chief newsham is keeping with that standard of 11 miles over before you get a ticket.

district heights. this happened around 12:30 in the 1900 block of addison road. the man shot is in critical condition and the incident appears to have stemmed from a robbery attempt also in prince george's county, detectives are investigating the deadly shooting of a teenage boy, police say someone shot and killed 17-year-old dustin corey last night. skyfox was over the scene near the intersection of country road and largedale road. the victim was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later. investigators do not believe the shooting was random. they say this is the 14th homicide in the county this month. police arrested a maryland woman for lying on welfare forms and eligibly collecting thousands of dollars in housing vouchers, sharon douglas. claimed to be a single mother. do you want to be arrested? >> happening now on capitol hill, large crowd f
