up senator john mccain returning to capitol hill just days after revealing he's fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer. he could be a crucial vote for the gop as it tries once again to repeal obama care. >> at the same time president trump launching unprecedented attack on his own attorney general this morning the chapter in chief firing off a series of tweets firing jeff sessions calling one of his earliest supporters weak the latest war of words raising questions whether or not sessions could be on the chopping block the. >> president's son-in-law and top adviser heads back to the hill daisied set to answer more questions from senators looking into russian interference in the us presidential election. just yesterday after too two hour question session kushner publicly proclaimed his innocence saying he never colluded with russia. >> get back to health care now. president trump making it clear this morning that he wants to repeal -- he wants the repeal vote to pass. now earlier this morning he tweeted, big day for health care after seven years of talking we will soon see whether or not republicans are willing to step up to the plate. and then

if this vote to continue the discussion happens today. not just health care causing tension on twitter. the president also putting the pressure on his attorney general this morning. >> this is the second day in a row that jeff sessions has been the target of the president's tweets and yet another sign sessions may not be long for the job. fox5's bob barnard live at the justice depth. bob washington does this mean for the attorney general? >> reporter: you know, who knows? i mean it seems like he's in hot water. maybe the president is trying to force him, attorney general jeff sessions to resign. maybe he's laying out the work to perhaps fire him, and see what happens. see what kind of reaction there is by humiliating his attorney general in public to see if he could maybe get away with firing him and in fact there are reports this morning that the president has privately spoken to some of his closest aids and asking their opinions about what would happen if i fired my attorney general. hasn't come to that just yet. but the president tweeting this

his most recent tweet this morning says this. attorney general jeff sessions has taken a very weak position on hillary clinton crimes. where are e-mails and dnc server and intel leakers? this follows this tweet from yesterday. so why aren't the committees meaning the congressional committees and investigators and of course our beleaguered attorney general l looking into crooked hillary's crimes and russia relations? clearly the president focused on this whole idea of his son-in-law having yesterday and today to speak to members up on capitol hill about his jared kushner's dealings with russia and russian officials in the campaign and during the transition. well then we got this this morning. a new tweet from hugh hewitt whose a radio talk show host who apparently was having a conversation with the new white house communications director anthony scaramucci, and hugh hewitt tweets this this morning. saying of

anthony scaramucci. you're probably right at scaramucci tells me my reading of at real donald trump tweets that potus wants a. good sessions to resign. so is that what this is all about? is the president trying to force jeff sessions to re resign? the whole idea is that the president is upset that sessions recused himself from the russia investigations. leading to the appointment of the special prosecutor robert mueller. the special counsel now looking over this. clearly the president is irritated by all of this, and is now in this position where he's publicly humiliating the first u.s. senator who really supported him during the campaign when that time it seem like donald trump becoming president was a long shot, and now after making the first cabinet appointment jeff sessions to be his attorney general, the president is blasting him publicly. you can only imagine what's going on privately, and it appears that if the president is not serious
