president has been in for going on seven months, in your estimation does the guy in the white house directly influence what the stock market does? >> directly, no, but i would say there definitely are some things that a president can do to indirectly affect the stock market. now, i'm not trying to trump it what the last president did, but if you think about what happened when he came into office when we were losing hundreds of thousands of jocks, the stock market was at about 7500. when he left it was about 19,000. i'm sure there are some things along the way through regulation, through helping the auto industry that definitely helped the market recover and then ultimate flourish. there were also a lot of jobs created during the last administration. i'd say right now we're only six months into this new administration, some of this is momentum that has already been going on. you'll see the effects of what the president and what the congress is trying to put in place now,

the effects of that in the coming years. if you have people out there who are in the work years. maybe they haven't invested. what's your advice to people out there that maybe have let's say a thousand dollars, what should they do with it in what's the best course right now a. i think you have to be in the game, through wars and through 911 and the.com bubble and the real estate bubble, people have made their money in the stock market. i done have a chris l tal ball, if i did i would be do ing this interview from the cayman islands. i don't know if it's going to fall a thousand points tomorrow. but what i do know is that you have to be in the game. you have to stay disciplined, though. don't just put money in there and not think about it again. stay disciplined plind, but get yourself in the game so you can get a piece of this action. we keep talking about these highs and again we're at 22,000 at this point. i think that the reaction through the years has been well, somebody i

rich, but it's not me. so how do you turn it around in how do you become that guy that whenever you hit, as we look at how the do you did as we approach 22,000, how do you become that guy? obviously patient p itself is key here. you know what i tell people most of the time, start investing in what you know. don't go to the barber shop and hear people talk ing about solar than a you want to start investing in solar and you don't know anything bit start with what you know. i tell people to take your bank statement and look at the last two months of the places that you spend money. of the top 20 places that you spend money you'll find at least ten publicly traded companies. start there. if you have an iphone, take a look at apple. apple reported earnings well sewer paced expectations, the stock was up six or 7 percent and it's going to reach an all- time high when the market opens up tomorrow. start with what you know and billed on time . if anybody wants to find
