organization, not receiving approval from the state before soliciting charitable contributions and that's not all. the countdown is still ticking on we can survive on the website it claims in three days, the organization's founder me i can't write will go on a mission in honduras to help fight cancer, but wright is in hot water with the secretary of statement we obtained this cease and desist order saying the organization did not register or receive permission from the state to solicit donations. the order goes on to say wright misrepresented and misled donors to falsely claiming to be a 501 c-3 charity organization using this website, various social media outlets and various fund-raising events. an employee at this northeast dc company did not want to talk on camera. but did confirm the company was prepared to make a donation to

wright's organization until investigators called them tuesday saying we can survive is not a charity organization. on social media, wright said she's a three-time ovarian cancer survivor. >> maryland secretary of state john smith said charity whose deceive the public will not be permitted to solicit in maryland. he went on to say we will veteran them and if it confirmses they're scamming the public, take steps necessary to shutdown any and all unlawful practices. as of right now, this website is still up and running. attorney angela hansen contacted us saying she represents mia wright and we can survive. she insists the organization is legitimate despite the state's assertion and is says paperworks were misfiled. to check and see if a charity is registered or report suspected violations, you can call 800825-4510. tisha lewis fox 5 local

air, it's developing more storms, this is a strong storm beginning to move northeast at 15 miles an hour, a lot of lightening, heavy rain with it, might have pea size hail gusts then you look out to clarksville and we're getting a pretty healthy downpour starting to develop. we're going to have to watch the northern suburbs nor developments in the next couple hours, i'll show one other spot. this is going up quickly. this isn't too far from where gary was yesterday in the kellering area, a they had a big storm, another one seeming to go up here. we'll put that in motion for the last little while and you can see how quickly that is developing likely with heavy rain and downpours, because these storms are moving slowly if they're moving at all. we're going to keep the threat around until about 8:00 as per usual. it is 89 degrees now, but we've been as warm as 90 today. sensible feels warmer than that because of the humidity feels like 90 in frederick, 87 martinsberg, winchester 86, culpeper 86 and fredericksberg coming in at 85. hodo

overnight crash in prince george's county. 38-year-old russell lee junior crashed into the back of the car after running a red light. it happened along indian head highway in fort washington. the driver of the car was not hurt. all northbound lanes were closed several hours and are back open. a father in prince george is guilty to murdering his 2-year-old son be antwon beat his baby to death, his wife genece helped bury the body. he was indicted for involuntary manslaughter. he's set to be sentenced in october faces up to 40 years in prison a dc woman accused of bringing a loaded handgun inside of the capitol pled not guilty. capitol police say 34-year-old kimberly barber entered the office building on july 28th with two suit indicateses, when the saw the cases were scanned, police found the gun, she's charged with failing to reply a firearm and due back in court next month. incredible video of firefighters rescuing a construction worker in the district this morning, they

new body camera video from the baltimore police leading to another case being dropped. the footage released today shows at least seven officers searching a car. during the search, they turned their cameras off and then back on. baltimore's public defender's office is accusing the officers of atmerring with evidence, it shows an officer placing something in the car later discovered as drugs, at least two officers have been referred to internal affairs, police commissioner kevin davis isn't jumping to conclusions but ordered all officers to leave the body cameras on. >> the dow comes into play when the officers are still present at the scene
