victims. the parents of the victims, they sat in the front row. just before sentence, the prosecutor said these victims who came forward to testify were brave and got no support from the community. the judge just before sentencing in trying to explain why he had so much support said, quote, really good people do some really bad things. he also said he could couldn't agree more with the verdict. we want to show you quotes because there were a lot of people who spoke, there were supporters, for john vigna and then there were the parents of the victims. let's show you a couple of quotes from the parents, one woman my daughter has been given a life sentence, another said this is a horrific gift, this evil man gave me, i am full of anger and hate he went on t

this man is a sole murderer. the supporters say his mistake was not being able to change with the times he wasn't able to change his affectionate ways, students were drawn to him. loved him like a local celebrity. we know that he could nerf harm a student. he was the mayor of cloverly alarm school. here's a little bit of background. john vigna wiped tears from his eyes several times as his wife, son, former student, a former student's mother and colleague spoke fondly of him, describing a kind gregarious strong man also a mentor, but that emotion stopped when two parents spoke to the judge and at times directly at vigna, the now convicted former teacher listened stoically as the parents called him a

home now, because like i mentioned before, this is that new private property, no trespassing sign, that's right in front of the home with a relatively new chain that's running across it. because the story again has gotten so much attention we believe the owner may have installed this. if you take a closer look, we learned from police now, if you look at the side of the house, this is where police tell us that the 32-year-old mother and their two children, ages eight and ten, escaped from the side of the house and ran toward deputy, as deputies were talking to the man again accused of holding them hostage for at least two years. so take a can closer look at that man now, his name is 43-year-old kareem more. he has been taken into custody and charged with three counts abduction and assault and battery. as far as the mother a

of happy. you know, we can't guarantee everybody will see something but i don't want to rule it out based on the fact that we've got this frontal system moving into hot, humid air mass, take a look at storm tracker radar, we have a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 6:00 for allegheny and washington, this is radar indicated thunderstorms right now that are moving through here, but they're moving to the north northeast heading through about 30 miles an hour and have the potential for 60 miles per hour wind gusts as well as hail in this. right now, in the line of fire, we've got hand cherry run, clear spring, all of these neighborhoods in the line of fire in terms of these storms, do be careful and take heed and if you see any lightening or hear any thunder make sure you stay inside and don't take chances with these storms and here's a look to line stretching all the way to the south and parts of virginia and into the carolinas. this is associated with a pretty strong frontal system that i want to tell you

awful lot of severe weather in the midsection of country. it is going to actually move its way across our area tonight. so, ahead of it and along the frontal system, i can't rule out that we won't see some of this action before the night is over. we're actually looking at some of the stronger storms that have actually been a little closer to the north, so mason dixon line may see more activity but once again i can't rule it out. storm prediction has it under a risk of severe weather for tonight. and it looks like once the front comes through, we could see the, a bit more widespread chance of those showers and storms, especially along i 70 and 81 corridor. once again, just bears watching, fair warning. temperatures now, the double 8s kicking up and in gaithersburg, same at quantico, 91 at manassas, a dc, we did reach a high of 90 today. 86 at baltimore this hour, 85 in annapolis, 90 at fredericksberg, still hot sticky and humid, the

good news is on the back side of that front, once it moves through, we got cooler air for you. so we're going to go see a little bit of a dip in our temperatures, the winds will pick up as well for tomorrow. we're going to go see plenty of sunshine before it's all said and done. we're going to start off with clouds in the morning, just because of this system that's going to be well to the east of us at that point, but the cooler air will kick in and a nice break finally well deserved for the humidity. we're finally going to start to get a little bit more comfortable for you around here. futurecast showing you tonight with those storm potential, as we move through into midnight and pretty much out of the way, which is at least good news. tomorrow though, temperatures will be into the low 80's, behind that system, looking at that cooler air, kicking in and if you're headed to the beach, ocean city, here's a look what you can expect for the weekend. temperatures into the 80's, mid 80's then cooling down a little bit on sunday, can't rule out showers on saturday but it will be the residual effect of that frontal system heading through.

thanks for joining us i'm tony perkins >> i'm marina marraco in for shawn, some of the victims may not have known they were being targeted. lauren demarco is live with the story. lauren? . >> reporter: a woman was heading up the escalator when she felt somebody put their hand underneath her skirt. she took off. the suspect headed back in towards the station. metro transit police reviewed surveillance images and they see that the man was actually putting his cell phone underneath her skirt. presumably to take a picture or some other type of video. there's security cameras all over this metro station and what's more disturbing, police say they could see the suspect do this to several other victims out women ever noticing. releasing parts of the video that show this guy in hopes the public can identify him. you see him there in the black shirt near the man with the boycott. at one point he steps off the escalator looking at his phone and there are clips of him pacing the area where
