is a diehard corvette lover. i know you share that passion with him. >> yes. >> that's one of your other babies much what's your corvette. >> i have corvette grand sport. it was, you know, as i shared on instagram it was really the start of my love for cars. my dad was drag racer as a kid, and my uncle, my father's brother, had a corvette that he actually drag raced. i just loved it. i loved everything about it. i love the lines of it i loved how it sounded, and i told myself when i was probably ten to 13 years old i said, when i hopefully get to the big leagues this wild dream of making, you know, big league pay i said i'm going to buy a corvette. funny enough 2012 i got married and made my debut and bought my dream with the little less money i h i'm surprised my wife didn't kill me. >> that's fantastic g can we pop the hood on this. >> absolutely. >> we'll fire it up at the end of the segment. >> does adam eaton have dream car? i know you have several cars. >> yeah. >> you don't have 40 in the stable. >> no.

all right neck guest is one of the dmv's most celebrated comics his name is jason weems and he's appeared on national and local stages including nbc last comicking d.c. em pro prof and most recently hbo few months ago something devastated happened to jason in in the middle of one of his sets. he suffer a severe asthma attack on stage that left him clinically dead for four min minutes. thankfully medical personnel got to him quickly. they were able to revive him. and now some local comic are stepping in and stepping up to help their friend. not only did they stage a gofundme account but they are also holding a benefit comedy show and in an toast raise money for jason's medical bills. it's called a night of fun. fun standing for

understanding needs and this morning jason joins us along with theresa couldn't september cione and alex scott to dish about the event and your brush with death. >> yes. >> what a scary yet inspirational story all at the same time. >> inspirational. scary. live changing. >> um-hmm. >> but i'm here. i'm happy. >> so what happened? did you realize what was going on? how did it all go down? >> i got on stage. >> um-hmm. >> it was just like any other night. i'm talking. big laughth moment i felt the ak coming. i've had asthma my entire life always always known when and attack is coming i can typically tell how severe it was going to be. i can tell it was going to be a bad one. i took two puffs might have inhaler the crowd thought i was joking and started laughing me more. which made me angry personally. >> it's hard for the crowd. is it part of the act? not part of the act? what's going on here. >> i say good night put the mike down. thinking fresh air will do it it got even worse. so at that point i'm literally just like gaspg.

doctor. over my left shoulder. but i didn't even have enough energy to stand up and look i remember vaguely getting taken back into the venue and then i just went out. i woke up 14 hours later with a ventilator. >> they said they were clinically dead for four minutes. >> closer to five. >> closer to five minutes. >> yeah. >> that is a scary stat in and of itself. >> it's horrible. i didn't know. that's right at the line where brain damage becomes. >> yeah. >> i wake up the neck morning the doctors coming to do rounds and the doctor says we lost you for five minutes. i'm thinking he's joking. >> right. >> he knows i'm a comic. >> light right. >> i look at my wife thinking she's going to laugh and nods in agreement. then it just felt like bricks kind of just fell oh and me. >> in that five minutes did you see the light? i didn't see the light. [ laughter ] >> jason, what does that say. >> good thing you got a second chance. >> yeah. i saw medical bills. that's what i saw. >> and really we're making light of that. that is very serious thing. ne

saddled with all these medical bills which is live changing for your family because you have to face that. >> absolutely. >> then you have these amazing friends step in. so how did you guys all become a part of this and why did you want to do it? >> um, theresa brought me in. >> yeah. so i produce comedy shows in d.c. with my business partner heywood tougher nip injury and we have a company attack of the comics and we produce shows throughout dc and we got invited to produce a show at the d.c. draft house and so we were talking about what we wanted to do and what kind of show we wanted to put on, and heywood& and i had already been doing shows for other companies. >> um-hmm. >> that were charity related but then jason had come to one of our shows i think less than week before his asthma attack, and so as soon as we heard the news about him, we understood that okay, this is what i think, you know, this should be. >> little did you know you were paying it forward. when you went to one much their shows they have these shows once a month then you raise money for whatever the said charity is,
