>> you don't mess with america. your final five on this wednesday. north korea talks about it's alleged plan to attack guam. the worst part of waking up is the fbi. the president takes on mitchell mcconnell, why can't we all just get along. a lawsuit challenges the president's ban on trans gender troops. have you seen the the new addition outside the white house. we'll talk about the inflatable chiquita chicken and whats ' all about tonight. north korea not giving an attack on the alleged guam. they say it will attack the water of guam by mid

secretary of state rex tillerson said americans should not be alarmed. i think americans should sleep well at night, have no concern of this particular rhetoric of the last few days, the president as commander and keef i think he felt it necessary to issue a very strong statement directly to north korea. i think what the president was just reaffirming is the united states has the capability to fully defense itself from any attack and defense our dwrilies and we will do so. and so the american people should sleep well tonight . while the secretary of state is telling everyone to stay calm, north korea is dismissing president trump's threats of fire and furry saying only absolute force can work. meanwhile one man has a plan for piece in north korea that you probably never considered rocky twie man says the solution is prayer and dennis rodman. he was outside the white house today attempting to drum up support for his plan. listen. nobody else can seem to comm

and i think you have to use the reotherses that you have and he is, whether we like it or not, he is sort of our link to the country because he he can really get in there and i just think we immediate to use him in a special way and we're hoping that his basketball diplomacy will help on ease the tensions. >> look, i get e-mails from rocky and you think about it and you say that sounds crazy, but think about it, who is the one u s citizen that has interaction with kim young heun it's dennis rodman. so far not much support for dennis rodman. let's move onto the latest on the russian investigation, we learned today the home of former trump chair paul man forth was raided in july. mr. man forth has consistently
11:33 pm
enforcement and other serious inquiries and did so on this occasion as well. the raid reportedly took place on july 26 , which was the same day man forth was supposed to testify before the senate judiciary committee. i'm sure they looked at it and decided there were missing documents, things that just didn't fit, holes that they wanted to fill and that's why he conducted the search because they didn't feel they could trust man forth to voluntarily give them what they needed. the washington post reports that a search warrant to raid man forth's home was wide ranging and agents left with various records. so far the trump campaign has turned over 20,000 pages to the senate judiciary committee which is also investigating russia's interference in the election. president trump is in new jersey but i'm starting to think he's a loyal final five viewer because last night we were talking about mitchell mcconnell's expectation s about the president . maybe he's treemg us , you do that, too,
11:34 pm
the president was tweeting about what we were talking about last night. he wrote this, senator mitchell mcconnell said i had quote, excessive expectations, but i don't think so. after seven years of hearing repeal and replace, why not done. so far the senate majority leader has not fired back but this is all over the failed effort to get something done on healthcare reform. earlier this week mcconnell was talking about the time it takes to get things done in washington and said the president has created artificial deadlines that congress could just not meet. our new line of work before and i think had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen. the president wasn't the only one promising quick action in congress, though. leader mcconnell said back in january that obamacare would be repealed that month. he also said he expected healthcare reform and tax reform done within the first 200 daze of the

which we hit. it's not stopping the president from ebb dooring a mcconnell ally from a senate strange. strange is using a twitter endorsement. fill jeff sessions old senate seat. the president supported strange instead of vocal critics of mitchell mcconnell. rory moore and brooks are also running in the primary. it's still unclear when or how the president's ban on transgender troops will be put into place, but a lawsuit has been filed aiming to stop the ban. five members filed the suit today. it is the first against the president's announcement he did not actuallr twitter. the lawsuit says the ban is unconscious substitution al. the pentagon isn't commenting, but so far the military hasn't done anything to implement the ban. they're waiting important formal guidance from the white house.
11:36 pm
pentagon under the obama administration allowing transgender people to serve open ly. this got a lot of play around here today. we saw a lot of people watching it on our facebook page, the new addition to the white house that definitely wasn't part of the renovations going on right now. this giant inflatable chicken. the bird is golden hair. it's named chicken done. a self described documentary and film maker and organizer put up chicken done. he he did get approval from the secret service and the park service to place the 30-foot chicken. here is the if i am film maker on what he says it represents. he's too afraid to than that up to put in and he's playing a chicken with north korea and yet he wants a military parade in washington, d.c. it seems kind of bizarre and signs of a weak and insecure leader. an i am imagine speaks

able chicken is visible from the white house but with the president in new jersey he's not there to he zoo it firsthand . up next we're talk ing about more about the threat from north korea, heightened tensions and what happens next when the final five comes become on this wednesday night. stick around. ound.

11:40 pm
far out weigh what we should have on the final five. is this bottom line, i think this is something worth talking about, is this something we should be concerned about. >> it's something to be worried about particularly two facials with nuclear weapon as a lot of armed forces on both sides of the border. we hear all this talk about guam. i think have never heard of guam before. north korea is talking about a potential timetable here. what is the us do in what does the u government do now between and this alleged plan they're work ing on, i think the u government needs to make clear that any action against guam or any of our allies frankly in the region are going to be met with strong action. you have to make clear to north korea that they can't threaten the us whether it's with our territory or all ies in the region without any consequences, they have to be a \bear\bare that there is going to be
11:41 pm
in fact, an effort to bracket guam with missiles. is president trump using the right wording here? >> president trump is taking a much more aggressive stance. they've got a nuclear weapon. they're i am proffering it and now they're threatening us terse and eventually the us home lan. that's a real problem. to be sure, the president has be more ayesessive than other folks, but a change in policy, is this the right one or not, but it's certainly different and perhaps we'll see what happens. this is really the first time we're see ing kim young heun as opposed to kim young ill popping up. this younger leader, inexperienced may not know what he's talking about or maybe he does, but it's fast mating, as you said, to see the different motions that the us is going through depending on who the leaders are on both sides? a. you're exactly right. people talk about how kim y

unpredictable and how president trump shouldn't look unpredict able to him because that could create a problem. they have all sought to retain power in north korea. they're not looking into us gets into a serious war because that's a war north korea will lose. let's talk about what month has succeeded at before, they have succeeded at an attack against the united states in terms of a cyber attack. you did a study with the federal society about this. let's talk about the cyber attack threat that we face right now. is it from north korea or from across the country or across the world? we have a large issue in situate beer security, but talk about north korea specifically they are the first country to conduct an actually destructive act against the united states when they act td against sony. intellectual property like movieses, but there's also a destructive effect that the

its exeult ers. we have to to be able to respond and defense our systems better both in the private and public sectors. we have real problems. i think we need to have a discussion about the best way to protect the nation when it comes to cyber security. who would have guessed that when the first substantive discussion we had about cyber security all came from seth rogue and. you mentioned we've worked on this paper with the regulatory transparency project, the government right now wants to regulate cyber security, force companies to do the right thing. the reality is that the companies have a lot of incentive to do the right thing financial services energy and they are doing the right thing we have to figure out a way to do to get the government together rather than beat them with a stick but work cooperative with security to get better outcomes as a whole. good to see you here. we'll hopell
