all the way to the carolinas. that path is a relatively narrow band about 730 miles wide. in the west many spots are a road like portland, busy and salt- lake city. the best weather is in idaho. if you can be there on the morning of august 21, the prediction from historic weather reports is pretty clear skies. you've got your best chance there. grand tea comes in wyoming, it's going to be spectacular. lincoln followed by kansas city, st. louis and the largest city the path, gnash ril. the southern part of the great smokey mountains will experience totality as will parts of northeast georgia and upstate south carolina all expected to draw big crowds because of the proximity to atlanta and charlotte. i think it's absolutely going to be worth it. yes, it's a few minutes of darkness, but this is the
