trump defended the white national list protests saying they weren't all neo nazis and white supremests. he went onto say that there were quote, fine people on both sides meaning the protestors and those who came to oppose them. he also said as you heard that there is blame on both sides. police have said that both sides were mutually combative at times on saturday, but what has people so angry is that there were neo nazis, there were white supremests \march\marching in charlottesville, one of those people is now accused of murder ing a woman on the other side and injuring 19 others. there are feelings tonight that the president is legite myself ing the goals of hate groups. i got on the metro right after the press conference , went down to the cvs down here, got a poster board, got a sharpie, made my sign and came right down here. why did you you you feel the need to do that? a. this is intolerable. it's

information is asked to call police. live in rockville, evan lambert, fox5 local news. >> new tonight, a d.c. family is fright especiallied and frustrated. someone fired multiple gunshots outside their apartment complex over the weekend. one bullet went right through their toddler's bedroom while she slept. kristin leone is live on the scene nievment. >>reporter: that's right. i happened right across the street here at the potomac gardens apartments early sunday morning over here on the 700 block of 13th avenue southeast. now, this is the area where a mother and her two children, they were all home during the time when they say a bullet went flying through her daughter's bedroom window all while they are three year old child was sound asleep and the family tells me that since this happened to them they say that their feelings of safety and security have since

look again at at that bullet hole, just how big and deep it is there and where you could he see it shattered that glass in the video. very traumatizing for that little girl. like i mentioned clearly shattered the glass there. it hit the wall right above the bed and we're told that's where her big sister normally sleeps. luckily the big sister, nor the three year old were not lying there at the time. the three year old was actually lying down or sleeping directly across from that bed there. but either of them been in that bed we more than likely be telling you a much different story tonight. two days later the family tells me that they are still very shaken up by this scary situation. i can't sleep i'm jumping up every two hours. my kids don't want to stay home with me. i understand what they're going through because it could have been her, me or the other -- my other

where do we start and where do we end. roland martin joins us to talk about this. thank you very much. what a day this has been. let me start with that question. are they historical markerses or are they symbols of hate. >> they're symbols of hate. first of all, most people don't understand none of these monuments were erected after the civil war. it's a period of where they say we have to come oght. 1877 when jim crow was ushered in. we had an election in 1876 then you had this period called redeemer democrats in the 1890s or so where they began to assert themselves, kick african-americans out of statehouses all across the country and then you had this lilly white movement of the republican party. most of these confederate statues were eject rected the late 1800s and 1920ss and 19 30s. people don't understand they were erected specif

a man they believe abducted and sexually assaulted a five-year old girl on sunday much the suspect is a hispanic man in his mid 20s to early 30s. he's about five nine and has black hair. this afternoon officers fanned out into the neighborhood along to your drive in mount vernon where the child was kidnapped and then sexually assaulted. if you think it's trivial or not important to you it might be crucial to the case so anything that is out of the ordinary, a new car in the neighborhood, a new person in the the neighborhood, something you don't recognize, whether on this block or a different block, anywhere in fairfax county, do give us a call. we asked investigators whether this crime could be gang related. police told us it is too early to make that determination. >> a big crowd is expected at what's being called an anti white supremacy rally in dallas this weekend. the rally is set for saturday in front of city hall. the chance for a town to come together to call for the removal of

temperatures are in the mid 70s seventy-five quantico, annapolis your dewpoints, 76-degrees. we should see a little bit of the lower dewpoints later tonight, but tomorrow still a humid day. a big headline for tomorrow, feels like a real summer day. we're going to forecast a high of 89, warm and humid. a spotty shower. i can't take it out of the forecast because they show up every day. thursday a few more showers with maybe a rumble of thunder with a trevment 90. we're going to be watching gert kick out to see. unfortunately it hangs around. the sun does return between 85 and 90 making it feel like a pretty hot day tomorrow. and checking the futurecast tomorrow not much to see in the morning. this is a little bit of cloud cover as well as fog. maybe a couple of showers pop up in the afternoon as you can see. a much better chance that we see some of that on thursday in the form of scattered showers in the afternoon some of which could
