telling us that streets all over that neighborhood are roped off, and they've been advised to stay inside because k9 dogs are throughout the area. bob barnard will be arriving on that scene in just a few min minutes. we'll share new information with him, but as soon as he gets there. but again a situation happening there death investigation in clinton, maryland. >> all right. meanwhile continue to follow our other big story this morning. the terror tack in barcelona. police have now made a fourth arrest in connection with yesterday's van tack. but overnight there was also another attack nearby. this time, though, police shot and killed five terrorists. they were wearing bomb belts. right now police officials are saying that one of those sus suspects killed could have been the driver of the vanity original barcelona attack. the death toll also rose overnight a woman died after she was hit in a car tack in seaside town some 60 miles south of barcelona. now that brings the total killed to 14. dozens more were hurt. >>

people were killed in yesterday's van attack, thousands have turned out this morning for a moments of sil silence. steve schenn 15 has the very latest. >> police in the spanish seaside resort town of cambrils responded to latest attack vehicle struck. all of this hours after the horrific attack in barcelona. a van kareening into pedestrians along te city's famed las ramblas promenade killing more than a dozen and wounding more than 100. >> that's when i jumped off and ran as well. i didn't look behind me. i didn't see -- i didn't see any of the bodies or anything or the driver, but i caught out of my corner of my eye eye. >> police believe the two a daked were related and may be connected to an explosion on wednesday that left one person dead. from president trump a response on twitter. offing assistance and calling on spain to be tough and strong. vice-president pence traveling in pan in a in a promising

together with our allies will find and punish those responsible and drive the evil of radical islamic terror from the face of the earth. >> many see these kind of attacks increasing now that isis is losing territory a broad. and the use of vehicles reflects all too familiar tactic now being adopted by terrorists. >> terrorists have found, you know, essentially the perfect weapon that requires no training, you know a vehicle. we can't stop all vehicles and we can't stop all crowds. this is why the strategy to stabilize syria to finish off isis as a state is so important. >> and that was steve chenevey reporting. now, isis is claiming to be behind the barcelona attack. vice-president mike pence is promising to punish those responsible. also a quick response from president trump taking to twitter to condemn the terror tack. he said the united states will do whatever is necessary to help. but he's also facing increasing

here at home following the violence in charlottesville. and the president is also not backing down from the racially charged debate over confederate memorials calling the statues beautiful. now to another big story this morning. from annapolis maryland residents waking up to find a controversial statue has been removed from outside the maryland state house. overnight crews hauled away the statue of former supreme court steve justice roger taney who wrote the dread scott decision which approved slavery and said african-americans could not be citizens this comes a mid a national debate on whether or not to take down confederate monuments. after the violence in particle lots sparked protests across the country several cities removed their confederate statuing many people in annapolis are happy that maryland has done the same. >> earlier this week, baltimore -- >> unfortunately that was a decision that i think was very detrimental to our country. so i approve of the removal of the statue.

usually if there's a murder suicide it's kind of a self-contained thing but they have had police k9 units searching the neighborhood which might lead to you believe maybe this isn't a murder suicide. it may be something else. and i will just tell you by the presence of the police and kind of the attitude here leads to us believe this is fairly significant. how many people involved? who all they are? someone in the neighborhood said people in that house haven't lived here all that long, but more than that, we just don't know. so as you can see, there are a lot of police here. some of the them have been running back and forth to their cars. so we're not sure what that is all about. but it is officially at this point a death investigation. brook jane drive in clinton, maryland, not far off bran brandywine, and as soon as we get more definitive information, we'll come back and bring it to you. but it seems like a fairly serious situation here that may not be resolved or contained because of all the k9s at this point, guys. >> bob, bar

killed them, we have our evidence techs inside the home now that is a lengthy process. homicide investigators are obviously on scene. our entire command staff on scene. trying to determine exactly what happened here. at this point, i know you have many questions as who who these children are. how they're related to one another. are they related to one another ages and unfortunately we are not going to be able to give you any of that at this point i'm sure that's frustrating but we have families that we need to be concerned about, grieving families, we have officers who arrived on scene. this is one of the most difficult scenes that our officers arrive on. we have counseling services here on seen dealing with our fir arriving officers. fire department will most likely provide the same services for their firefighters. um, and so we need to let the evidence techs do what they need to do. our homicide investigators, um, are working with what they can and we'll get inside that house as soon as our evidence techs clear the way and
