it right now, a lot of heavy rain, lightening, we're all under this watch until 9:00. and notice where the heaviest of the cells are. loudoun county, stretching across the river there, darnstown into western sections of montgomery county. over jump that into howard county up towards baltimore. right now, the only thing severe on the map is way up in northern baltimore county and har ford county where the most intense part of this line is. and notice the movement is to the east and to the northeast. good thing they're moving quite rapidly here. so at least right now, i don't see any big problems with flash flooding, that could change, we still have the front to the west of us. and around that front, there's still that possibility of more thunderstorms developing. strong, even severe possible. leesburg heavy rain, see this line, this is a fine line coming out of the storm. cool air coming down from that. that will probably develop a little bit more thunderstorm activity as well over the next 30 to 45

listen, these are producing very heavy rain and right now, that's the big problem. rain is falling out of some of these cells up over three inches per hour. there are cells over an inch per hour and towards columbia more than two inches, we'll continue to watch for the threat of flash flooding here in dc, nothing yet, just a little storm in fairfax county. that's what we just saw, believe it or not on our tower camera. that has been going up the last 20 minutes or so, today's risk flash flooding is high. strong winds moderate large hail moderate and goodness, the tornado threat is low, that's good for us too, i'll continue to minority storms, hopefully it stays that way, but more activity coming over the next few hours, full forecast coming up in just a bit. now to a story that has really been tough to stomach out of prince george's county tonight. three children were found dead in a home in clinton. >> their bodies discovered early this morning and police are still working to determine who

is responsible. fox 5 angelie hemphill is live with the latest. angelie? >> reporter: it was a solemn news conference, prince george's county police called this a heartless crime and the entirety community is grieving with this family of these three young girls all under the age of ten years old. their bodies were discovered inside a home here that you can see is still surrounded by crime scene tape. and at this time, no one has been arrested. >> i was shank i'm still shaking, because of the fact there are three children dead in my neighborhood. >> reporter: aerial footage show as deflated kitty pool in the backyard where three children were found dead friday morning >> we're able to see they're call girls, they're all under the age of ten. they had trauma to the body. as i mentioned to you this morning, and that this is a homicide. >> reporter: prince george's county police say family members discovered the bodies of

young girls inside this house in clinton around 7:30 this morning. neighbor james pinkney came back home around 8:00 a.m. to find this street lined with detectives >> i have a daughter. my neighbors, they have children. so this is horrific. i can't even go work for today because i have a child here. and it's a murderer out here. >> reporter: investigators were seen wearing protective footwear coming in and out of the home as to not contaminate a delicate grim scene inside, some of prince george's county police's top brass were on scene as well as state's attorney general angela alsobrooks >> i wear a uniform but i'm a father, those that responded here today are parents, aunts, uncles and siblings of young children they care for and love very much. we all feel this loss. >> reporter: while neighbors stood by, bewildered andfr

>> my condolences to the heavy hearts. my heart is heavy. this is my neighborhood. i live here. i have children. it's such an unspeakable act. and the fact that i'm witnessing it is -- it's wrong. >> reporter: on this particular case, at this investigation, we do believe it is confined to this particular home. >> reporter: police say they are still interviewing several people, including family members that were taken from the scene this morning. police will not say how or even if these three young girls are related but they do tell me they have made contact with one parent. they would not elaborate anymore on that. they say this crime is contained to this home but police are still searching for whoever did this. if you know anything, you're urged to call police at crime solvers, 1866-437-tips.

hemphill, fox 5 local news. we now know the identity of man who police say committed a series of crimes in fairfax county this morning. >> police identified him as 35-year-old kelly robinson of triangle virginia. fox 5 obtained exclusive video of robinson allegedly stealing a car from a security departed in a shopping center parking lot then destroying everything in its path. >> krysten leon is live in annandale with more on this story tonight. kristen? >> reporter: lauren and sarah it's unbelievable how this played out. pure chaos as police have described it and as you're about to see. quickly i do want to show you what's left over in the aftermath here, this was once a pillar, that police say robinson ended up crashing into with the security guard's vehicle before he then took off in the parking lot and crashed into a pole. take a closer look at that video now.

the video is like something out of an action movie. >> when he was backing out, he skirted backed up. hit the safe way, hit the front of the safe way, stopped for a few seconds. sky cam'sed off again. >> this is video we obtained from a viewer, who was there at the time. you can see in it car speeds off in the safe way parking lot. and leaving behind signs knocked over, multiple car crashes, then cones now surrounding the crime scene. >> police rivals >> turns out when they arrived, they say it robbery was not exactly what they thought it would be. >> when they arrived on scene, their investigation determined there was car crash not far from where we presently stand. >> reporter: they say

happened near raven's worth and little river turnpike. the suspects then took off on foot and tried to car jack a woman in the parking lot. that's when the security guard at the shopping center intervened and a struggle began. >> as the struggle continued the suspect was able to remove the car keys from the security officer's pocket and steal his vehicle. >> reporter: at that point, officers say then sped off through the parking lot, where he crashed into a building on top of multiple cars and finally into this pole here. not to mention police say the suspect also had a pit bull with him during the time. >> our officers used extra precaution due to that factor, and insuring the safety of the dog as well. >> reporter: although it may not look like it, police say this ended as smoothly and as peace fully as it could get. we also learned here that robinson, according to police, ended up pulling out a knife and using

guard. the police say in this case, thankfully no one was hurt. now, charges have been filed against robinson. although, we have not attained those charges as of yet. once we learn more, we will let you know as well. reporting live in annandale this evening, krysten leon, fox 5 local news. to the big news out of the white house, the chief strategist steve bannon is out. the former lead of breitbart news pushed trump to follow through on his campaign promises and was the man behind many of his most controversial efforts including the travel ban. one white house aid said bannon submitted his resignation last week but the move was delayed because of the racial unrest in charlottesville. more breaking news, in his's this out of finland where police shot a suspect accused of stabbing several people in the western city of tercrew. the attack left two people dead and six others hurt.

there are report that is one of the victims act woman had been pushing a child in a stroller when she was attacked. the suspect is currently in custody and being treated at the hospital. meanwhile, police are still searching for other possible suspects. finish police said it was too early to link the attack to terrorism but security has been tighten to do the airport and train stations. the attack comes one day after a horrific terror talk in barcelona >> we're learning a fourth person is now under arrest in connection with the attack. fox conner powell has more. >> reporter: a moment of silence for the victims of terror attacks here in spain, the country's king and prime minister among the people mourning those killed in barcelona and a nearby seaside resort area. victims include people from more than two dozen countries. >> we have now received word and confirmed the death of one american citizen in the terrorist attacks in spain. amongst those who have been killed. >> reporter: the terror

the las ramblas is open to the public but heavy security an subdued atmosphere. in barcelona, conner powell, fox 11 news. search continues tonight for a california man that went missing during that attack in barcelona. she said she and her husband jared were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary when caught in the middle of the attack. none said jared had gone to look at the rest room and she went off to look at jewelry. moments later the chaos unfolded. state department said one american was killed and one injured in the attacks, identifies have not been released. coming up more problems for residents at a temple hills condominium >> all of the utilities were cut off over an unpaid bill. after over coming that hurdle they're faced with another one, this time it has to do with fire code. two men are busted for installing skimming devices at local gas stations, now, police want to warn you about two tell-tail signs to look

temple hills, fox 5 report that day residents had no water, heat or gas for some time because the management company owed the utilities more than $1 million. >> we have our camera light on right now but you can see that without it, it is pitch black. so no light, no heat on what is the coldest day of the fall season so far. no power. we talked to one family who was inside their apartment and have no choice but to stick it out. >> we had baby in there this morning, thank god we found something for the two-week old baby. >> reporter: folks possibly are trying doorknobs trying to get in, worried about looting, been concerns with gas leaks. 's the problems ongoing. >> trying to call shelters and stuff like that. there's nothing we can do

making sure that the trash and combustibles have been removed from the vacant apartments because we had issues with squatters and many of the doors are not secured. so we want to make sure they get secured. >> chief barksdale saying management has to make sure all fire doors are working and that the stairwells are accessible. ♪ ♪. dc police releasing new video of thieves stealing packages from two homes in the same neighborhood. they were targeted just one day apart. the first incident happened last wednesday afternoon in 3500 block of park place northwest. you can see the suspect rolls up to the home on a bike. he walks up, then snatches a package off the front porch. then takes back off on his bike. less than 24 hours later, a package was snatched from a second home a block away. video shows the suspect running up the stairs, grabbing the package, quickly walking away from

up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in both case. we've been telling you about stipulating devices on gas pumps across the region. two men are charged with installing one of the devices. police charged two florida men with the crime, 51-year-old mario are a mere restaurant and frank rodriguez, they were seen placing a skimming device on a gas station. here's some precautions the next time you fill up your tank, take a look at this picture, this is what you want to see. you need to make sure the gas panel is closed and doesn't see signs of tamper. maybe stations put the read security seals. if the gas pump panel has been tampered with, the label will say avoid. does it look different than other readers at the station, for example the card reader on the let has a skimmer

demonstrations at the confederate statue at robert e lee in richmond, one week after deadly protests at a time white supremacist rally in charlottesville. also, the mayor of charlottesville is asking for an emergency meeting of state lawmakers. mayor michael siing in hers wants the general assembly to allow the removal of confederate statues including of general robert e lee. in statement, the mayor suggests the statues be placed in ceremonies or museum, quote, they no longer can be celebrated in shared civic areas. a controversial statue no longer sits outside the maryland statehouse, workers removed the statue of form r supreme court justice roger taney shortly after midnight. activists fault for years to remove the 145-year-old statue saying his legacy should not be honored. in 1857, justice taney wrote the fame dread scott decision which upheld slavery and denied african-americans u.s. citizens ship, they s

smidgen of montgomery county. prince george, too, here's is the line coming down out of baltimore, right along i95 in the bwi parkway too, just on the inside of that, so this is all coming across. the big threat here is going to be wind, some potentially damaging wind, up over 60 miles per hour. there could be a little bit of hail in this too, that's not the big problem with this storm, and very heavy rain, there's a lot of lightening imbedded in this as well. i want to put a little tracker on here so you get the idea of oh few communities that will be i want you toed in the path, again, it's such a long storm. such a big storm, it's hard to give this justice but south gate pasadena, lake shore, chester county, all of this is moving to the east at about 25 miles per hour. this is charles county. i just showed you this warning earlier. it goes until 6:15 p.m. a lot of wind in this storm, kind of just moving now to the east of port tobacco. another storm behind it got a little notch on it. we're watching it for rotation. you start get

coming out of it. i believe there is. of but again, with that kind of notch, it's what we call intake area, if it starts wrapping up with that kinnotch, you start seeing that on radar and you think there could be a funnel cloud developing. this is the big picture. storms are racing along, flash flood watch in effect for just about everybody. that will go until later tonight, but the way the storms are moving now, hopefully not a big threat with flash flooding, we've had one flash flood warning here in baltimore city. we'll continue to watch that, this line appears to be the strongest line that we're going to get this evening, it's all out ahead of the frontal system. but in this type of situation, with so much heat, so much instability, so much moisture for these thunderstorms to feed off of, i got to think there's at least a chance for storms until we get through the evening hours with the storm back to the northwest of us,

thunderstorm warning until 6:45. a few showers and thunderstorms potentially through the city. one more look at that. and i want to show you this, all the lightening up and down i95, here in town a couple showers, not picking up any lightening yet. another storm coming down through fairfax county, that's got lightening in it and the big storms down through la play ta and charles county. there's more forming back out to the west. the most intense part is moving through now, a high likelihood there will be heavy rain and potentially flash flooding, we'll keep an eye on that. strong storms, there's a moderate risk for that. large hail moderate risk for that. anywhere between an inch and inch and a half and threat of tornados is low but that doesn't mean we couldn't have something spin up. we'll be watching that too. all of us under this slight risk of severe thunderstorms this evening, the front is coming through. i want to show you the forecast tomorrow. less humidity out there, still
