behind me prince george county police are still out here. tonight we're learn physical a family member that all three of those little girls killed are related. tonight a family member of one of the ving items tells "fox5" a 6-year-old little girl is among three of those killed inside this clinton home. that family member says the girl's father just saw his daughter yesterday her name is not being released. ar according to father the family father is heart bro brother. relatives found three girls dead friday morning. >> they're all girls and they're all under the age of ten they had trauma to the body as i mentioned to you this morning and that this is a homicide. >> investigators say they are interviewing several people they spent the day documenting the crime scene on brook jane drive. neighbors are fearful for their own children. >> i have a daugh

neighbors they have children. so this is horrific. i can't go to work today because i have a child here. and it's a murderer out here. >> but police stress they believe the violence is contained to the one home. >> and tonight police are telling us that they have not made any arrests but they were conducting several interviews will stay on top of the story and vlt latest for you in the coming days. evan lambert, "fox5 local news". >> and now to the district where tonight's heavy rains came down fast and furious. it triggered flooding in some spots including cleveland park metro station. live at the metro with more. lauren, we're told flooding happened before at the sta station. actually i remember it. >> absolutely. you know people who live and work income cleveland park are all too familiar with this. when it rains hard water cascading down

escalators and it can be frightening. it was around 6:45 this evening on social media we started to see post. people describing flooding water coming down the stairs and escalator and we sixdages one man said he was walking through a foot of water at the mezzanine level. metro put out a statement saying water from the storm did not reach the platform or tracks and drained away before long. the cleveland park metro station closed down for a ten minute period. with trains bypassing this stuff. there was also tingling tracking because of incident atwoodly park and ugly commute. if you live and work around here again you're familiar with this. you know there are sandbags around here trying to prevent nodding and stlz a natural slump along connecticut avenue and the drainage system is decades old and with all of the development and pavement there is no place for the water to go. and now you may recall sarah was saying june 2016 take a look at video back then. this was

froding of the storm came through and after that d do the was working on a plan collecting data testing soil and molding meeting from the public. according to latest timeline construction will begin with more drainage. summer of 2018. now, we spoke with a man who lives around here who said the solution cannot come fast enough. >> when it floods it's quite spectacular when it happens the water comes down the escalators and we kind of worry about it frying the escalator. one day water was coming in both sides. coming flooding on both sides and we realize today would come down middle stairway at some point. my neighbor and i looked at each other and said no it's now other never and we dashed through. >> as for those concerns over electric shock metro said the wiring for the escalators is coated and

that in a second as well. we still have a flash flood warning in effect until 11:30 for calvert, charles and s st. mary county. there mainly northern sections of st. mary county just a sliver of southern charles county and then over to really just kind of a sliver section of southern south central sections of calvert county. and they picked unas much as three to four inches of rain down there in a short period of time. now, look, let's show you the big picture here this turned into a really, really dramatic squall line. but it took getting east of the d.c. area, east of i 9 a5 to really become this major squall line from central virginia all the way up tloo atlantic city and into new york city as well. and through this we had a lot of severe thunderstorm warnings with wind up over 50, 60 miles an hour hail and a lot of rain too. speaking of that rain, if we just look at doppler radar

where i was showing you from where they still have active flash flood warning in place up over 3" of rain and very, very close to 4" of rain in that little corridor where there's still active flash flood warning. there's still active flash flood warning to hartford country and nothing else around here in that regard. out along 50 really south of 50 just south of well through buoy and parts of mit mitchellville too and running south of annapolis there was another band of doppler estimated very, very heavy rain more than 2" and some cases more than 3". i know when you cross the bridge over there into kent narrows and kent island places like that they picked up very, very heavy rain and flooding as well. now in terms of the actual watch thunderstorm watch all has been discontinued and cancelled. so we don't have any active severe weather going on this evening. and it looks like this front will come through tonight and will cool things dn

annandale road. he bailed from suv and ran to little river shopping center and while there he tried to carjack a woman and security guard stepped in. investigators say the man attacked the security guard, jumped into his car and took off. >> when he was backing out he packed up hit the safe way the front of the safe way and stopped for a few seconds i don't know and screamed off again. >> but he didn't get far. officers eventually caught h him. no one was hurt in this incident. remarkably. police have identified the suspect. he is 35-year-old kelly robinson of triangle, virginia, he's facing a host of charges tonight. new tonight steve ban on returned to bright mart news at executive chairman. >> this is after he was fired from chief strategist. ban on departure comes over a year after he joined presidentialam
