now to a developing story we've been following, a p25-yea maryland is behind bars tonight. charged in the murder of a his 6-year-old sister and two young cousins. investigators say antonio williams has confessed to the killings. the body of the three children were found yesterday morning at a home on brook jane drive, police say the victims were stabbed to death. >> at this point, we do not have a motive. we don't know exactly why he stabbed these three young beautiful girls. >> police say williams was home alone overnight caring for the girls wise his mother worked an overnight shift as a nurse, williams is charged with first and second degree murder, he's he being held without bond's police identified the victims as 6-year-old nadiro, and her cousins 9-year-old and 6-year-old ajia decree, the

that's when they spotted three suspicious men as the officers approached, one man opened fire, the chief says his officers had no chance. >> it's tough. i'll be honest. we're aware of what goes on, you know, in law enforcement across the nation. we haven't experienced this in over 25 years. >> that gunman everett miller got away. police later arrested him at a nearby bar. as for the other shootings, gunman shot and wounded two officers in jacksonville florida, another gunman attacked two officers in western pennsylvania. these four officers are expected to survive. let's take a turn to the weather and take a look outside. we've had some stormy weather in parts of the area this evening. >> look out there at scarier at the masonic temple, but gary in for gwen. storms moved through the area and the big qst

we expect for tomorrow. still see some of this wet weather >> i don't think so. for tomorrow, it will be a lot drier. a lot more stable around here but a pretty good upper level disturbance moving through kicking off a lot of thunderstorm activity. this started early this afternoon, way out in the eastern sections of ohio, western pa and been moving in our direction for last several hours. things calmed down quite a bit. big picture here, no warnings we haven't had warnings in a while up through frederick county and they're running along 70, very strong thunderstorms earlier. we'll zoom down, you can still see there's a little storm there along 270 at the spur just south of rockville, that's continuing to move on off to the east as well. i've brought down the clutter. there's a lot of grounder clutter. legitimately, there's -- these are really weakening in the last 20, 30 minutes, not seeing any current storms with lightening or not seeing any

lightening currently, there could be some cloud to cloud, we only see cloud to ground here. down to the south, a little shower for berk and through fairfax county. and perhaps a little bit still existing there in prince william's county. this will continue to move off to the east at about 25 to 30 miles per hour. and i do suspect over the next hour or so, most of this is going to get well east of us. now, we probably have at least a threat for a shower as we get into midnight or so. after that, we're continually drying up. the strongest is right there on the spur. zeroed into it. it will get over in wheaton and run along the beltway. i don't think these will get stronger, i've gotten tweets about -- about fedex, looks like fedex is dry, hopefully all weekend. 82 degrees in the city, you see how cooler it is up to the north and west, rain cooled with thunderstorms moving through there and i'll show you the overnight forecast, i suspect after

helicopter crash last saturday responding to a deadly protest at a white supremacist rally in charlottesville. the funeral for bates was yet. the cause remains under investigation. gary is in for gwen tonight. you've been monitoring some of this storm activity coming through tonight. >> yes. lot was severe, calmed down. now we have another little strong getting stronger south of town, a lot to look at >> hopefully not going to affect the folks at fedex >> i'll show you that here in just a second. it's afternoon. they got to play. but there's a little bit of lightening out there. have to watch out for that. it's pretty cloudy out right now. and it's still a liquid muggy with the storms and showers moving through. temperature is 79 at national. we're not looking at in this matter. i don't think. but anyway, heat index is 81. winds out of the northwest at 17 miles per hour. it's been pretty gusty around these fronts.

ou actually putting down some little fronts here. let me show you this takes us back about last two hours. big thunderstorms up north and west, severe weather there, heavy rain gusty wind and those storms cruised along i 70. they put out a big boundary or cold front, another cold front for more thunderstorms out to have the west and those boundaries are coming together and producing another thunderstorm, basically south of mountain vernon but there's a lot of lightening and this is really blossomed in the last 15 be 20 minutes, fedex is over here, this is all kind of moving in that direction. against the core of the storm, put the tracks so you could see the places will be affected in the next few minutes. of piscataway what, clinton, all in the path of this, i think you'll have heavy rain and maybe a little bit of small hail but more than anything looks like just a lot of lightening, thunder, heavy rain, and some gusty winds coming o

as the storm is moving to the east at about 25 miles per hour. so i'll continue to watch this, again, not anticipating anymore of these thunderstorms becoming severe. but again, they need to be watched closely. as some of those are blossoming along that boundary, sometimes they can go up and quickly westminster has been cooled off, 66 degrees there, as these thunderstorms came through, put down a lot of cool air, along i 81, temperatures are in the 60's now, frederick at 70. of course, here we are, muggy 79 degrees. overnight in the city, we'll drop down through the middle 70's, lower 70's for lows tonight, thunderstorms started way out in ohio and raced through western sections of pa. really strong, really severe after central portions of pennsylvania calming down a little bit. this is a combination of a frontal system and a little upper level disturbance swinging by. the disturbance is about to get by. so as it gets by

us, we're going to calm down, we're going to dry out and we're going to clear up overnight. allow these winds to start coming in from the northwest and in a lower the humidity, tomorrow will be comfortable out there. tonight we're down to about 72 here in town, gaithersburg 68. frederick, 65. of course, some of these temperatures are already this cool. they won't cool off a whole lot more, fredericksberg 68 and tomorrow, upper 80's just about everybody, a little bit less humid tomorrow than what we were today, we continue this less humid trend, humidity will come back on monday, tuesday and wednesday. otherwise, tomorrow is dry and sunny. nice little wind out of the north northwest at about five to ten miles per hour. we'll start with sun, we'll end with sun and looks like tomorrow, no real great chance of a shower or thunderstorm, we could have a little bit back out to the west and southwest. i think here in the metro we stay all dry. 89 tomorrow, 91 for solar eclipse monday, looks like we'll have
