>> this is fox5 local news at five. time to check your headlines at the half. d.c. police need your help finding a person and a vehicle of interest in connection with an armed rob rivment it happened last saturday in the 1400 block of corcoran street northwest. surveillance video showing one of two suspects accused of pulling a knife on two people and demappedding money. those suspect pes took off in a dark colored sedan. sky fox is over the scene of a hazmat situation he they are working to fix a gas leak of suburban hospital. this is in the 8600 block of old georgetown road in bethesda. we're told the leak was in a construction area near the

wants to look ahead to what he'd like to see happen when it comes to immigration reform but he's going to miss this opportunity to really tout what he feels are accomplishments of his administration. take a look at some of these numbers from the white house that they are sharing today. they say they've had a 40 percent decrease in illegal border crossing attempts during the same period of time last year. the president has called for the hiring of 10,000 new ice officers and 12,000 new board per patrol agents. ice has removed over 2700 criminal gang members. that's more than through all of 2016 and of the course we're another only in august now. now, a new report out by mack clach i says that there are people inside the white house who are encouraging the president to protect dreamers under doca in exchange for funding for the wall, detention facilities, other immigration enforcement tools. when you consider whether or not this is possible you do wonder

on doca. i'll tell you this, a look back at some of his past re marks and i've got one from last august when he he takes a really tough stance on doca but then another one in february where he seems to show quite a bit of compassion. take a lines . we will immediately terminate president obama's two illegal executive amnesties. do ca is a very difficult subject for me. to me it's one of the most l difficult subjects i have . i spoke with ira medical man. he's with the federation for american immigration reform the group makes no bones bit. they are opposed to doca. they feel that it is unconstitutional . he said right now at this time he they don't really want to comment on this potential bargain because it's speculation and they can't see what is exactly on the table. but in light of the fact that they are opposed to doca what do they

going to a little bit more about the rally tonight on the final five at one:30. >> to charlottesville, virginia where chaos erupted at the first city council meeting since the violent and deadly protests nearly two weeks ago. angry residents there taking over the meeting for about a half an hour criticizing city officials for how they handled the white supremest recall yivment at one point the mayor and several city council members were forced to briefly leave. a few people were escorted out of the meeting and taken into custody. you can drag citizens out of here. you're officers and look at the officers who are here versus who is usually here. what kind of statement are you al all making, part of the demand is that you all need to do some elf assessment. and by the end of the meeting the council agreed to have a third party review the city t's planning anthrax to the rally. a town hall meeting in charlottesville is scheduled for thursday.

going forward is that we'll have to arrested on an outstanding watch for later night storms maybe after 9:00 tonight and that will weeken out to a line of showers that may linger wednesday morning. we are going to be chasing away the showers in the afternoon here in d.c. and maryland, but there could be a thunderstorm that lingers tomorrow afternoon. so i'm going to say that wednesday afternoon for many areas is going to be dryer and brighter, the humidity is going to be dropping. but if you're down near richmond, fredericksburg, charlottesville, maybe over to salsbury you could still see a thunderstorm because that front will still be working its way south through the area tomorrow but boy does a refreshing trend begin around here very soon s. you'll notice it tomorrow afternoon. you'll really notice it thursday. we're going to see some amazing temperatures roling back into town. just to give you an idea, probably getting close to 85 tomorrow. that's not the beginning. it's just kind of the change over day. we'll have morning showers and then a dryer afternoon through d.c. through maryland. maybe a storm south as mention

in a store they find relatively safe. to hear that someone followed someone home from the story is pretty creepily. though the victim is not hurt, investigators are anxious to get the victim suspects off the street before someone else gets hurt. to do that to anyone p, but not to mention an elderly woman such as this. overnight by the way, police arrested 28 year old marcus wayne hunt. he's facing robbery and weapons charges and police are still looking for the other suspect. another crime that we caught on video here. police say this woman usedded a child to help her steel from a new jersey restaurant. the woman order food and then left while the dishes were prepared. the short time she came while the restaurant owners were in the back of the store. she has the little boy climb over-the-counter and grab the bag of money. my mom feels like there was something suspicion so she checked the camera. we're
