several years and why many neighbors are not happy about it. news at 10 starts right now. >> we begin tonight with that vish us tack inside a maryland liquor store. a man threw a molotov cocktail that burst into flames and burned two employees inside. >> call verton shopping centerer over the weekend. evan lambert is live outside the liquor store. evan, you learned new information what led up to the attack, correct. >> reporter: yes, tony, i talked with a part time worker here at the liquor store. he tells me that a man, this suspect, was hanging out in the parking lot of the giant several hours before that attack. someone called the police and then later that suspect came back to the liquor store talking about how someone owed him money and throwing that fire bomb into the liquor store according to the witness and to police. this is the mug shot of 22-year-old kavan edwards of laurel. prince george county fire marshall says edwards walked

inside call verton liquors 8:30 sunday night and threw a flaming molotov cocktail filled with gasoline on to the floor of the store. two employees were badly burned as those flames spread inside the store. one part time worker benny r ramdas has burns from neck to pelvis region. he's treated in icu med star washington burn unit and second worker's burns are not as serious, he's out of the hospital. ramdas is caring and generous man who works a part time job to provide for his family. >> he loves his family and son and is dedicated to job and neighbors. >> it's hard afore me to imagine anyone would want to harm him. >> reporter: and there are several surveillance cameras in this parking lot and in front of this liquor store here as well. we understan

was captured on surveillance video. we asked to see that video. but it is part of the evidence in this criminal case. i should say the suspect edwards is held in the prince korj county detention center without bond. evan lambert. form 5 local news. >> now we move to another disturb story. an update on a woman throwing urine on a metro bus over the weekend. police arrested opal brown today at the l'enfant metro station. she turned herself in and admitted to attacking the driver on her facebook page. she called the bus driver rude anded is she hated the driver. brown is expected to appear in court tomorrow morning. >> we're learning more about the prince william county nurse charged with sexually assaulting a patient. police tell us they received additional calls from people claiming frederick yeboah sexual

he has been a registered nurse 18 years and is accused of inappropriately touching a female patient at northern medical center in woodbridge and police are meeting with the new alleged victims. yaboah is held without bond. harvey is now a tropical depression and the flooding it left behind is wreaking havoc on the region. the storm is blamed for dozens of deaths in texas and now creating life-threatening conditions in parts of louisiana. right now fema says roughly 200,000 people started the process of applying for federal aid. later in the show tonight a former d.c. resident that now lives in texas will join us live and share the story of how she -- how facebook post actually helped lead to her rescue. first let's check in with caitlin roth who continues coverage. caitlin, we said the storm is wreaking havoc in parts of louisiana.

and set out down to the place she was living to see if we could get her out of there. >> it was relatively dry where you were. how did you get to mickey. how did you get there? >> yes, so, i basically the water at my house had come almost up to my door. but by this time it receded enough i could walk out on the sidewalk. so basically i headed down the street. as i got closer to her apartment the water actually was over about halfway with up or three-quarters up most of the cars in that area. but there's a gate near there i actually lived there when i first moved to houston there was a gate in back where i arrived and gate was closed but through some miracle some other guy showed up and we were able to figure out the gate had a wire on the top. so we unlatched that and were able to pull the gate back. >> they broke in. >> and basically i went into the back where the water was not as high and on

met another guy who his car needed to be pushed away so i helped him push his caraway and he told me where the map was of the place. with that i knew where she was living i worked further in the back and she was far in the back near the bayou. at that point i again encountered water waist deep. took a little time to figure out what the best way to navigate that was and realized her apartment was connected i was hoping, to a garage. and there was a second level. so i actually back tracked found panel way through there that was not that deep knee deep got up into the garage and entered where she was staying and then started yelling her name and actually the halls were all dark electricity was all out. >> it was pitch black. >> and all of a suddenen a door opens and there she was. >> mickey quickly when you started hearing straichinger yelling your name what was your thought. >> i thought i was losing. it i did not know what was going on.
