when this launch would happen. meanwhile, south korea responded to north korea's latest nuclear test with a military exercise of its own. earlier this morning the south conducted a live fire drill deploying a number of land attack response missiles. this comes just one day after pang yank conducted its sixth nuclear test. the us warned that it will answer any threat from the north with a massive military res response. the united states nations security council is schedule to meet today to discuss the rising tension, along the korean opinion nine zula in this case this is the second time they have met to discuss the north in less than week. of course we'll continue to follow the story and let you know if anything else comes out of this but for now, i'll send it back to you in studio. thank you very much. time now is 9:04. time for the morning briefing. president trump has decided to end the controversial daca program

harvey. meanwhile congress is still work ong disaster relief package while that work its way through washington, some of houston's heroes are stepping up including texans star jj watt. fire and rescue crews also still dealing with some hold outs in those flooded areas if you can believe it. along with vole la chemical plant northeast of the city. fox's doug luzader has the latest. >> reporter: you see the raging water behind me here as long as the army corps of engineers continue to release water into the buffalo bayou here to relieve pressure on area reservoirs some neighborhoods in houston are going to remain under water. while much of houston may be drying out, some neighborhoods in west houston are a different story. >> the police came knocked on my door and said you have ten minutes to get out and there was a canoe waiting for me in and my husband. >> reporter: many here angry after a mandatory evacuation of some homes that could remain flooded now for weeks. >> we had no warning. what can you

weighing orders as better weather is aiding firefighters as they battle a massive wildfire. two other cities burbank and glendale lifted that are evacuation orders sunday. california officials are calling the la wildfire the biggest fire in the history of the city of los angeles. 1400 people evacuated there over the weekend have returned to their homes. flames did destroy three homes. back here at home, police are investigate a deadly shooting in the district over the weekend. officers say 19-year-old unique davis was shot and killed in enough her southeast home saturday night. the shooting comes just one day after davis celebrated her birthday. davis' sister an family friend were also injured in the shooting. anyone with information is pleased asked to call police. well if you ever wondered what president obama wrote to president trump as the two exchanged power, the contents of letter have been released. according to media reports, mr. obama wrote "congratulatis

humidity around here later today. it won't be too bad. get more building in tomorrow ahead of our cold front down to the tropics unfortunates that is a very strong very powerful hurricane irma. max bum winds 120 miles per hour. the pressure is down to 947 millibars that tells us the storm continues to strengthen and see the pink boxes off on the lost hand side of your screen, that's hurricane watch for parts of the lesser antilles and unfortunately it look like the storm is going to track just north of puerto rico and perhaps just north of cuba and be a threat to florida by the end of the weekend. so we'll have to watch very carefully to be honest with you the eventual path and track of this storm has been all over the place last couple of days. we're not out of the woods here in the mid atlantic even north korea up to new england could be threatened it's possible it could stay out to sea as well. irma has to be watched carefully over the next couple of days. beautiful weather for barbecue today. right, jim. a

with labor day weekend. hollywood took the weekend off. there was nothing new to see at the movies over the weekend so once again, the ryan reynolds samuel l. jackson action comedy the hit man's bodyguard took the top spot it earned a little more than $10 million. the horror spin off annie bell creation came in second place with box office receipts of almost $7.5 million. the weinstein company took spots three and four with crime drama wind whiff and in third with just shy of $6 million animated family fm leap in with $4.9 million. logan lucky rounds out the top five with $4.4 million. this will likely end up the lowest earning summer movie season in more than a decade. so not so much going on there. it sound like high totals when you put it in comparison to some of the big hits it's not that much. >> what did kevin say about the hate hit man' bodyguard? do you remember. >> i think he really like it. i think he was -- he just -- he
