ago it's a booking photo of tyler tessier. he was arrested around 5:30 yesterday evening and charged with first degree murder. among the other things we learned, when laura's boyfriend and her family held a press conference pleading for her safe return tyler tessier was already a person of interest. detectives set it up to see how he'd react. police say tessier was the last person scene with laura wallen saturday september 2nd on surveillance video from a grocery store near her home in olney. also, we learned that laura sent a chilling text to a friend. >> saying that tyler had taken her to an open field up in the damascus area and she says i'm not sure why we're up here but he's taking me to this place in the middle of nowhere. something to that effect. the friend said, take picture and she did. >> reporter: it was noon yesterday when detectives cadaver dogs found her body

shall hoe grave on a wooded property in damascus. it was near a farm on price's disstillery road tessier stayed from time to time. police say tessier made several trips to his friend's farm in the last week and that was a tip off. sources also told fox5 that tessier was living with another woman and laura had recently found out about it. police also told us yesterday that tessier admitted to dumping laura wallen's car near that apartment complex in columbia. he took off the front license plate, dumped that as well. along with laura's cell phone and her driver's license. he is expected to have his first court appearance it's just a bond review hearing this afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. so far we don't know yet if the state's attorney's office is also going to place charges related to her unborn baby's death as well. live outside montgomery county police headquarters, i'm melanie alnwick, fox5 local news. all right. mel thank you very much. 9:04 is the time. grief counselors are on town where she was a popular teacher. bo

school with more on how students, family and friends are coping. bob? >> reporter: wisdom, such a sorted story this was very popular young 31-year-old teacher laura wallen. she was pregnant. there was a lot of scheme here at the school much this is wild lake high school she taught social studies here in columbia. we're told inside students are calm but devastated. their grief counselors here because everybody knows about it. since the discovery last night. they were hoping she would be found alive but they know that's not the case. we spoke in our last hour 8:00 o'clock live with dr. michael mat toran know the superintendent of schools who had been inside with students and the prince and teachers and came out and spoke to us. >> we have our grief counselors here. we have our crisis team assembled to respond to the unique needs right now that are presenting to us. this is very confusing for adults it's difficult to figure out. can you imagine how difficult it is for our children when our teachers has been taken away with a very senseless act o

secretary sarah huckabee sanders she tweeted excluding the wall was certainly not a agreed to. so that was last night when democrats believed they had reached a deal that would make the dreamers act into law and the border security just no wall between u.s. and mexico. then in response to huckabee sanders, the spokesman for senator schumer said this. the president made clear he would keep pushing for the wall just not part of this agreement. after 6:00 o'clock we saw the president refuting all of this so that deal was not made last night in series of tweets saying that a deal was not made on daca. that the wall between the us and mexico will be built. he went on to say, does anybody really want to throw out good educated and accomplish young people who have jobs, some even serving in the military, they have have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own. brought if by their parents at a young age. plus, big border security.

senator schumer and pelosi release agnew statement on this so sort of collar foy because there's been a loft back and forth. saying in part, president trump's tweets are not inconsistent with the agreement reached last night as we said last night there was no final deal but there was agreement on the following. we agreed that the president would support end shining daca protections into law and encouraged the house and in it to act. what remains to be negotiated are the details of border security with a mutual goal of finalizing all details as soon as possible. while both sides agreed that the wall would not be any part of this agreement, the president made clear he intends to pursue it at a later time and we made clear we would continue to oppose it. president trump also making it clear that he hopes that he can you know obviously this issue can take a by partisan approach that both sides can work tomorrow with coming up with a solution. a loft back and forth trying to keep up with the tweets and statements. so but that is the latest from the white house. anannie yu fox

>> 9:23 right now on this thursday morning. let's check back in with allison and find out what else is making headlines this morning. al. >> hey steve stunned community in washington state gathered to mourn a deadly school shooting at a high school. it is still unclear what prom add student to open fire at free man high school it's just outside of spokane. police say that the suspect who's a sophomore shot and killed a fellow student in a hallway. and injured three others all still are hospitalized they're in serious condition. it ended when custodian proved

surrender. according to one student, the shooter seemed to know at the beginning of the school year that he was going to do something. the school had an active sh shooting drill just one day earlier at that school. and another horrific story this one developing overnight overseas. at least 23 people are dead in malaysia. most of them just teenagers after a massive fire consumed a school dorm. firefighters say the flames blocked the only exit out of the dorms. the principal of the school says the boys were staying in temporary boarding house while construction was being done on the main building. 14 other students and a teacher are hospitalized. closer to home now, right now virginia police are on the scene of a double stabbing in alexandria. this happened in the 900 block of north henry street. office have a suspect in custody. the two victims were taken to the hospital. officers closed northbound lanes of route one

anything locally right now so we'll get a break here for next couple of hours. you may see a little sunshine from time to time but that will just kind of encourage additional showers to redevelop later this afternoon. you see the showers back here into west virginia and parts of southwest virginia. some of those are going to scoot north here and in addition to shower we might even be able to drive a thunderstorm a little later this afternoon so keep the umbrella handy here if you're out kind of three, four, 5:00 o'clock as we'll likely see some showers redevelop and again maybe a storm. there's future cast. there we are at 4:00 o'clock starting to see a few showers and storms develop out to the west. and we'll look for those six, 78:00 o'clock tonight. nothing terribly heavy. nothing terribly widespread but scattered showers along with some cloud cover. if you're going to the nats game tonight, fingers crossed we get it in. it's possible that one of the showers gets park over southwest d.c. we might have a couple of delays but i think we'll get the game in. then i'm fast forwarding this to tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow afternoon a few additional showers and both saturday and
