prince william county police re lease the name of the officer who fired two rounds from his service weapon. his name is robert choicement he's 35 years old and he's been on the police department t for seven years. he's with the tackle tal train ing and response unit. police also said dethey found no gun, no bomb and that they said that the teen had a coat on which prevented them from seeing what he piet have had under it because he said he had a bomb strapped to himself. also one other note, we asked the father today about the teen's mental health. he declined to discuss it. in manassas, paul wagner, fox5 local news. >> in the district more than 200 people died last year from opioid overdoses which is triple the the number two years earlier . district leaders say drastic times are calling for drastic measures. they're look ing at plans to open up injection clinics. matt ackland is live

hurricane season has proved that it can be incredible active. we're halfway through the alphabet. nonetheless we've been ripping through them and this is the latest one that is a major massive hurricane, a category five. as you take a live look outside here it is a beautiful afternoon. the camera shaking just a touch, but the effects from jose, jose offshore here. but the effects from jose here have been minimal. you get out to the beaches, rough. you you have rough surf. a who the of wind and even some rain showers, but the summer heats has returned back here in washington. is that going to be the main story literally through the the next week. 83-degrees right north korea you here in d.c. we're making up for the late august, earl early september cool weather. seventy-nine in gates but, 82 out at dulles. these temperatures not too far above norm alg but as we get into
