shot to death. that 16-year-old we believe was able to stab the assailant. the adult male is dead. we have a man stabbed to death. a teenager shot to death here last night. police tell us they'll soon be releasing the names of those involved and once they have confirm the identity of the juvenile we'll be able to tell i was lot more about what we're hearing about what happened last night as we believe the teen was walking home. we've heard some information where this person goes to school want may have happened, but until the names are confirmed by police, we're not going to share any of that, but it is a very sad story that ends with two people dead. we don't believe anyone else was involved here. that it was just the 16-year-old who was shot and the adult who was stabbed here in northeast washington last night again police still here and as soon as we get the names and can share more of the information with you, we will, guys. >> bob barnard witness update on that. we'll check in with you when you learn any more. 9:03. we want to talk about our other big story of course that's ma ro

the storm to category three hurricane overnight. and it's now lashing the northeast part of the dominican republic. fortunately, though island will not take direct hit. >> puerto rico sure did, though. this morning it's still trying to determine just how bad it was. here's what we do know. the entire island spent the night in the dark after the storm knocked out power. heavy rain made some streets look like rivers. hurricane maria barrels its way through puerto rico. it made landfall wednesday as a category four storm with so much force the entire island is now without power. a nighttime kuroda few is in place through saturday. videos showdown town san juan getting whipped by 155 miles per hour winds and soaked in more than 20-inches of rain. it was a slow crawl across the island. plenty of time for the storm to snap trees in half and fill the streets with deep flood waters. carribbean natives here in the

and watch as maria hammered their homeland. >> when i went through katrina here and this is the united states, i just can't imagine that small island. >> forecasters say the hurricane became diss organize and even weakened a bit as it loved over land. maria is expected to restrengthen as it moves over warmer waters. meantime, guadalupe is getting back on its fetal after its own brush with the hurricane. they're dealing with serious damage and two fatalities authorities say roofs were blown away and large trees brought to the ground. creating a mess that will require months of cleanup. >> everything fell on the ground. thank god we still have the house. the roof is holding together. but the solidarity is there. we will recover. >> now hurricane maria ultimate path has not set in stone. forecasters say it could take a turn to the northeast sending the storm then out to the atlantic. for more on that let's talk with tuck consider now l

maria and what the possibilities still are. tucker? >> hey, holly. best thinking is calling for the storm to kind of recurve here and get push out into the central atlantic and weaken as it gets further north in latitude. still couple a days away. still a couple possible scenarios think track. we'll watch it carefully. let's start with our local forecast. quick reminder last full day of summer. we'll watch fall arrive tomorrow afternoon at 4:02 and at some point we'll get fall like weather but not today. we'll warm it up into the mid to upper 80s. 74 now in washington. 72 in leonardtown. 68 this morning manassas and 69 dulles. actually very comfortable overnight. much of the area falling back into the upper 50s and low 60s. that is jose yet another tropical system. tropical storm at this hour. you know what, we're not going to concern ourselves with it the less i talk about it maybe the sooner it will go away but it's starting to fall apart off to the north and east. we're looking at sunshine today and quiet conditions. there's another quick look at maria. as mentioned category three

winds of 115. very heavy rain still in puerto rico and parts of the dominican republic and pushing up towards the bahamas the good news it doesn't like like the core of energy around that eye and that eye wall will make landfall any time soon. and that would be great news. still doesn't mean the storm doesn't have the potential to drop heavy rains and have gusty winds but at least we won't see land full like we saw yesterday in puerto rico yet 88 for us this afternoon. i'll have more on marie january and our weekend forecast in just a couple of minutes. >> the fairfax county urban search and less coupe teams in puert rico to help in the aftermath of maria. they tweeted out this video yesterday of crews -- of the crew helping clear a tree outside of their base of operations in san juan. meanwhile maryland task force one will also be helping with hur can efforts -- relief efforts. the 27 member team based in montgomery county will leave from fema's deployment center at dover air force base today. no word yet on where they'll be deployed a

maryland task force's third deployment in the past month. the crew is one of 28 different fema teams deployed when natural disasters occur across the country. steve? speaking of natural disaster mexico still reeling with its own natural disaster and right now it is simply a race against the clock to try to save surveillance advice. overnight the death toll rose again after that earthquake so at least 245 people confirm dead now. thousands more people injured after the 7.1 magnitude quake struck mexico city tuesday afternoon. now right now rescue crews are still focusing on saving this little 12-year-old girl's life she's been trapped in the rubble of the fallen skull for two days now. 21 of her classmates were killed. four adults also killed when that school collapsed. thousands of mexicans feared to be homeless now lost of people seeking refuge in local shelters the focus right now on those who they know survived and are still trapped just like that little girl. we'll send it back over to you. >> all right. thank you very much, steve. let's turn to politics now. and they have over week to

ways. trust between the client and the massage therapist. trust between the owners of the massage envy and the people that they employee if the allegations are true, this man was definitely not acting as a professional. the first incident was reported on september 17th female client called police after her appointment at the massage envy on wisconsin avenue. she said the therapist inappropriately touched her and performed a sex act without her consent. 24-year-old mass sues was arrested and charged in this case with first degree sexual abuse of a patient or client and second degree sexual abuse. after the news got out, another client called police to say that he tried to do the same thing to her on august 28th. he's charged with attempted first degree sexual as abuse avenue patient or client and attempted second degree sexual abuse in that incident and massage envy is a national franchise with individually owned locatns
