ride home, that was a party. it was like home coming and prom mixed togetherment even our bus driver on the way home he was out of control and her kid plays for another high school in the county. coach had only known winning. he was part of damascus and good kowns i. he was through thrust into the wa when his long time friend passed away with colon cancer november of last year. he was only going to stay until the end of the season and then pass the team onto a permanent head coach because he he stayed because of kennedy's original 18. we didn't have a lot of kids come out for the team. we were 18 kids on the team but you you can't practice very well with, you know, 18 guys. yes, 18 kids tote l al. want to turn around a program that hasn't won a game in years,

the team you have to go recruit we walked the hallway. i looked at the athletes, i looked at the guys that played basketball. i looked at the guys who played the other sports. he was look ing at kids who had never play football to join a team that had never seen a win. it wasn't the easiest sell. the kids that did not grow up with football, they did not play football, it was a very international, you know, student body here, so, you know, they're just learning the game. the key to the turnaround, a culture change that began with those 18 who never quit, who taught their teammates how to play as a team and build a program, a program they hope has only begun to win finally our hard work is paying off for us. see all these kids coming out and supporting the team and hopefully be the future of the program much that's the goal, build the program. we got one win, let's go for another won. coach boy could he has
