ually get clean. what? we can wash 'em. tide pods plus downy. super concentrated to clean, condition and keep your favorites looking great. it's got to be tide. . let's get to a fox 5 exclusive that you say morning, a new picture that might help shed light on what was going on inside a bethesda home at the center of a mystery involving a death and a fire. take a look at this photo, when you first see you'll focus on what looks to be a pulley system. but if you look a little bit closer it's what's at the end of the pulley down here. there's a question. it's several buckets. bucket, bucket. bucket. that appear to be part of these underground tunnels underneath the home. the big question is, what are the buckets doing there? were they hauling up the debris that somebody was

and why was there a tunnel system underground a bethesda house and a young man died, we're turn to melanie alnwick now. >> reporter: steve, that picture that you just showed, i find that to be fascinating and disturbing at the same time. that was provided to us by sources. we heard from investigators initially they talked about hoarding conditions in the house and some sort of tunnel system. didn't understand what they were talking about until we saw that. then we have even more photographs as well. yes, here you see, looks like it goes pretty far down below the home there. you can see what appears to be bicycles on one side of that photograph, and ventilation system. this was the victim only identified two days ago, 17 days after this

pictures also of this victim provided to us by some of his family and friends, his name is, a skia, kofra, 21, he agreed to hope him excavate underground tunnelling because he agreed to invest in some company, he's wearing a hard hat and ear protection, he's by some sort of rock or excavated area, one of these pictures posted to his facebook page earlier this summer. now, friends tell us that kofra was blindfolded every day before he came to work because beck wick did not want him to know where he was going, his family was under the impression he was working at beck wick's house at a house in virginia. now, the fire was on september 10th, kofra's body was found in the basement. the house was

but there wasn't a lot of othera ge. it took 17 days for the medical examiner to identify him. witnesses say they saw him shirtless and covered in dirt when firefighters arrived. now, kofra's parents tell fox 5 they knew he was working with beck wick, that he was working at that house and that they had been in communication with him and even texted him the night before. we can tell you live on the scene we've seen investigators over last couple of weeks pulling out all kinds of equipment. we're talking about electronics chemicals as well. as some of those chemicals are still being investigated. a lot of wiring they said as well. but at this point, they still haven't ruled on what exactly caused the fire. and as far as the death of mr. kofra, the medical examiner

hasn't ruled the manner or cause of death >> we're learning so much more about the victim but the man found shirt less do we know any more about him and his background at this point. >> reporter: very strange, there's a lot of pieces to pull together. what we can tell you on puck record is that when he was a student at the university of illinois, this is around the 2012, 2013 year, he was convicted of hacking into the campus computer systems, stealing social security number, he had an online persona, he called himself the ece hacker and a couple of others as well. one of the other things he had a fascination with chemicals used to destroy hard drives. but at this point, we can tell you that all investigators will tell us is he is cooperating and they have not yet may any sort of ruling as to what exactly happened here. back to you >> definitely a

you think you know the mysteries in dc over time. this is just anone to add to it. >> for sure. let's get answers as to what's going on in the world. let's check in with allison seymour. >> reporter: a group of brazen thieves attempted to steel an atm in southeast dc using a stolen u-haul to slam into the atm. this happened on n street in southeast. they ran away empty handed. they believe they used the u-haul to ram the atm outside center feel gate near the ticket booths. police will reveal surveillance camera footage. they will review it. . another dangerous rock slide at yosimite's national park. the second in two days, no word of injuries, ambulances were seen driving towards where the rock fall happened.

virginia, i began as a musician, trained musician, classically trained and a big band jazz, and that was my life. i never even went to the theater. i lived in new york. i never went to the theater. but there was a special services unit at the military district of washington that used to do soldier shows and piano player in our band used to get borrowed by special services. one day we were playing the officers' club and i was the boy singer and one day he said to me, do you want to sing a song in the show? i'll have him borrow you too. and that started it. i went there and first time i ever sang without a saxophone hanging around my neck. and said a few lines in a sketch, and when i got out of the service, there was a little bug was in my ear, that was very interesting. maybe i'll try that. >> and may
