driver could mean permanent changes for some metro riders. the news at ten starts right now . there's a lot to tell you tonight. we gin with new de tails and dramatic new video in the la massacre. we just learned that the 59 person death toll includes the shooter steerch paddock. federal investigators learned paddock had devices called pump stocks that allow him to turn them into rapid fire. they found 23 guns in his hotel room. the shooter 's girlfriend is a person of interest. the fbi is bring ing her back to the us tomorrow for questioning. we mentioned dramatic new video at a news conference within the hour police showed a compilation of body camera video before responding officers knew exactly where the gunfire was coming from. take a look. go that way . g

singers. she could be in a venue with 30,000 people she was talking to the person next to her. just hours before denise was killed the couple from martinsburg west virginia was already planning their third trip back. the initial shots i did not think it was gunfire. tony and denise were standing halfway to the stage in an area that was less crowded. he says the panic was palpable, but they were still able to maneuver freely as they made their way out. it wasn't until the second burst when tony, a retired green beer ray realized they were in the direct line of gunfire. on our way out disee nice was struck. she was immediately unconscious. i stayed with her there. her wounds were pretty bad. another gentleman stopped and we moved her back oon then finally got the ability to move her outside the fence. we loaded her

up truck that was out there and started on our way to the hospital. denise was a lifelong banker and had just decided to pursue a college degree. she was a mother of two and in february she would have been a grandmother for the fifth time. as soon as i know denies is on her way home i'll get on my way home and get become to the family. wobs i know she's on a plane. sadly we have learned there were more local victims. this is tin a frosh she graduat ed from anne arrundel high school roughly ten years ago. she was in the conference when she was shot in her right eye. she remains in the icu in a medically induced coma. they held a moment of silence this evening. her family flew to las vegas to be by her side. i can't imagine what they all -- all these families must be going through, marina. i'm so g

news comes just hours after president trump arrived back in washington following his visit to the island today. we'll have much more on the the president president's trip anthrax to it coming up later in this broadcast. new tonight, a d.c. man is under arrest after threatening to kill a metro bus driver. police say he refused to pay his fare, then confronted the driver with a knife. it is the latest in the string of several disturbing attacks on bus drivers. fox five lindsay watts is live in the district with details. >>reporter: a union representative for drivers says he fears somebody is going to lose their life if more than isn't done to prevent these kinds of attacks. there have been dozens of attacks on metro bus drivers in this past year. in just a little over a month we have seen a driver doused with yeurn, another sprayed with juice and now threatened with a knife while all behind the wheel . an afternoon pickup on eighth

gorgeous fall pictures. fall is starting to show up in the form of a few beautiful leaves here and there. we're seeing very low cover in terms of foliage. the color in the high spots through west virginia and maryland is gorgeous and well on its way with high color also through upstate new york and into new england. some good leaf peeping and this might be a good weekend to get it started. you might want to wait a couple more weeks if you want even more l column offer. you can head to the high spots and get what you need. we will be seeing more color, fall temperatures, 40s and 50s are the cooler temperatures. it will likely get closer to 830-degrees. we jump to the mid 80s thursday through saturday. i also showed you this a little while ago. we've now gone 20 days without

critically dry, but rain chances are going up a little bit next week and maybe some helpful and significant rain on monday and tuesday that could have a bit of a tropical connection which i'll show you in just a momentment a check of temperatures down to 49 culpeper, 59 dulles, 56 for gaithersburg, 59 for quantico, definitely on our way to that chilly night as promised with upper 40s to near 50 in the suburbs and about 56-degrees in the district. it will feel chilly. we are going to warm up again. seventy-nine tomorrow, mid 80s, thursday, friday, saturday 83 all of these days dry, i will say this about thursday. there is a front that tries to get close. it doesn't make it. there could be a few showers north and west, but not enough to make any kind of dent in our descrie conditions. high pressure will start to slid of on the coast. that is what begins the process of warming us up. we've had a lot of 80s to our south and w

a really nice day, just a little bit warmer than it was today. check out the temperatures, upper 70s to low 80s tomorrow afternoon. there could be a slight chance of a shower on thursday. there's a frontal boundary that will be getting closer. it doesn't actually make it lieu. but it could send a few showers in our descreks late thursday afternoon and into the evening mainly north and west of the district. now, there is a lot of tropical moisture, sub tropical moisture getting pulled into text right now up through the central planes and this is a trop l california system close to florida. this is -- both these areas are being observed by the national hurricane center. this could develop into something. it's certainly going to bring a lieutenant of tropical moisture into florida over the next couple of days and then a 50/50 schans of development in this area, the southwestern carribean and conditions are favorable for this to become a depression, maybe a tropical storm and if either of these develop the next name up is tropical storm nate. this one is
