>> denise's husband will be returning to their home in west virginia once her body is re lease. we are learning more about the investigation into the hooting. the desginate toll of 59. we've heard 59 quite ability bit. that includes the gunman. so it's 58 victims and then the gunman. out of the 23 guns found his hotel room there were device owes 23 of them. and police release some new and dramatic body cam videos. police found 23 guns in the shooter's hotel room. tonight we learned that 12 of those had the devices on them called bump stocks. police don't know what the motive is, but it's clear the shooter was planning this whole thing out carefully. there was cameras located outside of the room and inside of the room along with the firearms. i anticipate he was looking for anybody coming to take him

gunman transferred $100,000 oversees in the days before the attack. investigators are trying to trace that money. they're also taking a closer look at the shooter's girlfriend and what she may have known calling her a person interest. she was out of the country at the time of the attack. the fbi is bringing her back to the us tomorrow for questioning. calls for gun control are coming from democrats in the aftermath. today the president indicated gun laws could be something that the white house takes a closer look at, but in the future. what happened in las vegas is in many ways a miracle. the police department has done such an incredible job and we'll be talk ing about gun laws. i do have to ahow quickly the police department was able to get in. it was very much of a miracle. a lot of praise for the police coming from all

epidemic of gun violence is a unique american problem. it doesn't happen in any other industrialized country. it's not because we have a higher rate of mental illness than other countries do. it's not because we spend less money on law enforcement than other countries do. it's because this country has the loosest set of gun laws allowing dangerous people to own dangerous weapons in the trillion iced world. let's talk about steve scalise who was injured back in june at the congressional baseball game he was critically wounded and we learned that he was very close to death in the hooting. he recovered and came back to congress just last week. have you you, your experience of your own and what you saw in las vegas, has it changed how you feel about any of that? >> i think it's fortified it because first of all you've got to recognize that when

-- when there is a tragedy like this the first thing we should be thinking about is praying for the people who were injured and doing whatever we can to help them, to help law enforcement. we shouldn't first be thinking of promoting our a little bit l california agenda. house republicans today said they don't expect an nra backed bill democrats are pushing to end the sale of those bump stocks \am\many that's what it looked like the gunman had on 12 of those devices, 12 of those guns he had in his hotel. these are the devices that increase the rate of fire on a semi automatic . a lot of people getting an education on really ins and outs of guns period through this whole process. in the meantime the president will head out to las vegas tomorrow but he its back at the white house after a visit to puerto rico of course. most people on the island still don't have power two weeks after the storm

president also handed out suppl ies. a lot of people are talking about the video of the president tossing rolls of paper towels into the crowd almost like he was shooting a basketball. you you see the reaction out there. it doesn't seem like people were too worr ied about it. it getting a lot of attention tonight. nonetheless, the president leaving you puerto rico today. the p president says he received no constructive criticism while in puerto rico and that he only heard thank yous. the mayor of san juan in particular pledded with the federal government to up the recovery. it's not all about politics. the secretary of defense says the response to puerto rico was as quick as possible. senator, i assure you you this is all hands on deck. there is no delay when a request comes in, it's approved the moment it hits the pentagon. they have over 10,000 troops there. we had to reopen the airports themselves, which is part of the restraint on you how many aircraft we could get
