[ laughter ] >> we've got a warmup on the way as well after few perfect fall days we're heading back into the mid 80s. tucker barnes will have the details a little bit later. >> the big story at 9:00 of course on-going investigation into that mass shooting on the las vegas strip. the fbi hoping to get some answers from the gunman's girlfriend who's back on u.s. soil this morning. meanwhile, we are getting first-hand look at the chaos after that gunfire broke out at the mandalay bay from just released police body camera footage and hearing from the gunman's brother had seems just as confused as the rest of the country when it comes to why he would murder more than 50 people. our melanie alnwick joining us live with the very latest on this on-going investigation. good morning, mel. >> reporter: good morning, guys. fbi has dozen of agents in vegas assisting with all aspects of the investigation. as for marou

tells reporter that is they have no idea that she was in the philippines and really no indication that her boyfriend had any involvement with guns. we understand that she used to work as hostess at a kaseen no reno that paddock would frequent, and apparently that is where they met. but even though she's cooperating with authorities they definitely weren't to learn more from her about steven paddock and his activities. her night from the manila philippines arrived last night or early this morning at los angeles international airport. officials say she arrived in the country on september 25th on a flight from hong kong her flight this morning returned from manila to the us for more questioning. monday morning you may recall the clark county sheriff said danley was located out of the country and not involved. but now investigators have many questions for her including why stephen paddock wired $100,000 to the philippines in the days before the shooting.

body camera video from las vegas police officers. they are pinned down in this video that you're about to see and hear as the shooting begin. they don't even know where the shooting is coming from. the gunfire spanned between 9:00 and 11 minutes. paddock had cameras rigged outside and side his hotel room so he can see law enforcement when they came close. we have video recorded from outside the room. you can look lou that broken door. you see that assault style rifle on bi-pod it will come back around here again for you. apparently, there were also devices called bump stocks there it is right there on 12 of the 23 guns found in paddock's hotel room that turned them into rapid fire epp weapon much his brother eric simply can't explain it. >> this is what everybody is so scared about right now. when steve can do this, we are in deep bleep.

there. you find me where someone who is like steve does this. i hope the hell they find when they do the autopsy that there's a tumor in his head or something because if they don't, we're all in trouble. >> reporter: fbi investigators are beginning the grim task of documenting so much evidence left behind in the festival field. financial investigators are look nothing at least a dozen financial transaction reports over the past several weeks showing that paddock gambled more than $10,000 per day. now those transaction reports are many of those are routine it's something the casinos are required to do by law when someone cashes in more than $10,000. but we really don't know the sum total of his gambling over the more recent days except we all know as we've heard that he was a high-stakes gambler. as far as the

26 more guns in two of paddock's homes bringing the total to 49 guns and hopefully we'll learn more later today about anything that could make sense of all of this. live outside the fbi headquarters i'm melanie aln alnwick, fox5 local news. >> certainly empathize with the shooter's brother and his harrell felt comments you do hope there's something wrong there. if there isn't, my goodness, where does that leave -- just no words. no words. okay. as you know, this morning we're hearing heart wrenching stories about the lives lost in this zen less tragedy one of the victims was from martinsburg, west virginia denise burr titus was at the music festival with her husband tony. tony a green beret realized they were in the direct line of gunfire. >> on our way out denise was struck, um, she was immediately unconscious and i stayed with her there. she -- her wounds were

bad. another gentleman stopped and we moved her back and then finally got the ability to move her outside the fence. we loaded her up in someone's pickup truck that was out there and started on her way to the hospital. >> denise was a mother of two and in february she would have been a grandfather for the fifth time. and another local victim tina frost who graduated from arundel high school roughly ten years ago she was shot in the right it it eye and remain icu in med medically induced coma. her family flew to las vegas to be by her side. >> president trump headed to las vegas right now mid air after returning from his trip to puerto rico last night. he departed joint base andrews an hour ago. while he's in las vegas he'll meet with survivors the mass shooting going to go to hospital and then meet with first responders. while the president is in las vegas democrats are seizing the moment trying to push for new control gun control laws much will depend where the president stands on this. when asked about gun control, the president said it would be addressed quote as

meanwhile the president told fox news in interview that quote we're going to have to wipe out puerto rico's debt in the wake of the hurricane there. the president and first lady also heaped praise on federal and local officials during the trip yesteray to puerto rico. they met briefly with san juan's mayor and said she's quote doing a good job. this after the mayor recently criticized the speed of the federal storm response. but the president's trip was not without controversy. one of his jokes about funding the island fell flat. >> now, i hate to tell you puerto rico but you've thrown our budget a little out of wack. [ laughter ] >> because we've spent a lot of money on puerto rico and that's fine. we saved a lot of lice. every death is a horror. but if you look at a real catastrophe like katrina and you look at the tremendous hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that died -- what is your death count as of this moment? 17? >> 16, sir. >> 16 people certified. 16 people versus in the

battle scars like ptsd. miles teller stars as sergeant adam shoeman who was evacuated from the war for mental health reasons and the struggle he faces trying to readapt to life at home. kevin got a chance to sit down witness star in the real life hero he portrays on the big screen to talk about the new movie and daily struggles that people deal with. >> truly is incredible story incredible film adam shoeman i sat down with him yesterday miles teller plays in the him and writer and director jason hall who wrote american sniper we spoke about the pstd element how it changed adam when he got home from iraq. there's an interesting thing to me a lot of soldiers and heroes saying i'm not a hero. owe wanted to know why soldiers feel that they're not heroes, and he speaks specifically on that as well but i spoke -- i think they're heroes obviously. but some of them don't think they are. i spoke to him about that element as well but first one of the interesting elements of what happened when adam got home, something his wife noticed very

>> it's fascinating, and they're referring to adam one of his fellow soldiers was shot he carried him down a stairs as he was caring him the blood was going into his mouth and that's why the gum was an element he decided to chew that. something that didn't remind him of the taste of that. very crazy stories but interesting to hear how they handle it. >> what was your take away from it? >> from the film itself? >> yeah. >> i think i just think -- i don't know why aren't more people talking about ptsd i think it should be a bigger platform. more people talking about it. i can't believe -- again in this film, the sense that i got soldiers aren't being taken care the way they need to be. veterans need more help. >> we hear that a lot. >> through the casting of miles teller he was in war dogs where he was in iraq a far different role than he is now they shot previously for this movie. >> totally. >> interest fog him to go back to iraq and in a complete object sit character. >> this was 2007, don't get me wrong on the exact dates

israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu object toy tide. let's turn to harvey levin to find out more. harvey, you know i love the concept of this show do you with objectify. each week i get more and more jealous about the people you get a chance to talk to. how did this all work out with the prime minister? >> well, you know, i basically through a hail mary and it was a process. i came actually to your fair city, um, months ago, and i met with ron dormer the ambassador from israel to the united st states, and pitched him the show

show, and then started dealing with people in the israeli government and they said we like the idea of the show and the idea is, you know, telling the life story using object that is a person chooses to keep in their life. you know, over the decades, and using the objects kind of as a jumping off point to get into various peds of their life. i went back to israel a few months ago and shot that interview with prime minister netanyahu and i have to tell you, steve, i was a little bit surprised. you know, he's talked about his life, you know, before obvi obviously. he got really emotional and i think the, you know, dealing with the objects really has an impact on all of the people that i've talk to where they, you know, if there's a connection there. and he started to tear up when he talk about his brother's death. how it changed him. how he never wanted to go into politics. i was really surprised. he did not -- does he not want his sons to go into
